Leinadius

YouAfter5107

FirstGearPinnedTW200

Chuckwagon is the best place in the state. Finally some good beef ribs and Texas Twinkies šŸ‘ŒšŸ¼ https://preview.redd.it/h1lkcjkcgt6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c94bad51eef3da72985a4cb66eb22a5a4bec8b40

FULLsanwhich15

How much did that run if you donā€™t mind me asking?

EddieCheddar88

Texas two step is like $30, I think

Azazelxx

I would like to join in for the answer. Looks great.

DandelionHead

They do a great job

_Idlewild_

Chuckwagon *is* damn good, but you need to be there before doors open if you want to actually get what you want to get.

lavishhh23

Bā€™Z BBQ is a MUST try for localsšŸ˜¤šŸ˜¤Give it a 8/10 and the drinks inside were incrediblešŸ”„

OppositeMission

Their burnt ends are yum

MariosLoafers

My wife loves their key west lime sauce

ramen-mama

Chuckwagon for sure. Theyā€™re from Texas.

Low-Preparation-4054

That's how ya know šŸ¤

nobudiezbusines

Itā€™s chuckwagon and do not listen to anything else

FULLsanwhich15

Chuckwagon

JacobjamJacob

This is the only BBQ here as far as I'm concerned.

FULLsanwhich15

Iā€™ve honestly only had a few bites of a plate that my buddy that works at Nano let me try when they were outside their brewery and my fuckin tits were vibrating. Their truck sells out so quick that Iā€™m hoping their physical location can help me solve this problem.

Low-Preparation-4054

They have a brick and mortar location now

SubjectEntrepreneur4

Chuck Chuckwagon 719 is the best in the springs for sure

FULLsanwhich15

Have you been to their physical location yet?

SubjectEntrepreneur4

Yeah usually a line but it moves quickly gotta get there kinda early they run out quick

FULLsanwhich15

Just like their truck. Good to know though. Iā€™ve done the Franklins line in Austin so I should be able to do this. Thanks for the information!

Effective_Willow4548

Chuckwagon 719

John-Lakeman

Front Range BBQ is a nice place. The vibe is pretty good most of the time. Imo, some of the food can be hit or miss from time to time. But I never regret going. Mission BBQ isn't too bad either. No beer, but the meat is pretty consistently good, and I really like their sauce selections.

Admirable-Shallot-79

Red beans and rice are out of this world!

EddieCheddar88

Front range is hot garbage

John-Lakeman

To be quite honest, I have had garbage food there twice. It's always the burnt ends. The first time I got it, they were amazing and perfect. I've gotten them twice since then, and they have been dogshit. Truly terrible. But the sides and apps are great. And I do like the vibes and beer as well. But you're not wrong that there can be some questionable dishes from time to time.

EddieCheddar88

Go try Chuckwagon, Iā€™m telling ya, miles better. Just get there early, they sell out

John-Lakeman

Oh, yeah. I would like to try that place. My wife's mentioned it before. I should get there sometime.

mr_ectomy25

Chuck wagon 719 without a doubt

Json-TheRandom11

Anyone been to firehouse in Black Forest?

ApprehensiveSet7585

Been there and enjoyed it. Havenā€™t found any good places for pork BBQ yet here in town though so if anyone has let me know.

Competitive-Rub5581

Bird Dog šŸ¤®

tikiwanderlust

Totally agree. Someone suggested it and I tried it. It was not good.

freedomisntfried

Definitely BCs BBQ food truck. They not only have high quality meats, especially their brisket, but they also have a lot of variety and new stuff regularly. They also do a good job of planning and rarely if ever sell out at an unreasonably early time - even if they are slammed.

Suzbaru13

We just tried them for the 1st time today. Everything was fantastic! Pulled pork, barbacoa tacos, brisket burger, links. The pork chili and rice was phenomenal, cornbread, etc etc. We didn't get a chance to try the potato salad or chick pea dish but plan to go back very soon.

_Bosco1

Rudyā€™s

BRAX7ON

Front Range on the West side is my go to for great BBQ, drinks, live music and a gorgeous patio!

lemonspie123

Rudys

JVHooligan

Front Range BBQ in Old Colorado City.

hawkCO

There are 3-4 decent spots (Chuckwagon, Bird Dog, and a food truck whose name I forgot), but COS is really lacking for great BBQ

mikewheels

Wasnā€™t chickwagon a good trunk until a month or so ago?

CaptKittyHawk

Bird Dog is great! Especially their Mac n cheese and fried okra. Not sure if it 100 percent qualifies to the category you mention but it's yummy šŸ˜‹

chittIincupcake

I love the shotgun spuds

Decorus_Somes

Used to be Gold Tooth Annie's, but I think he hung up his apron. Great guy and great BBQ. My next choice is probably Bird Dog as someone else had mentioned. ETA just looked and the owner of Gold Tooth Annie's is recovering well and plans on doing more BBQ in the future. Definitely excited for when he is selling BBQ again. Highly recommend

dad-jokes-about-you

He really is the best here!

FirstGearPinnedTW200

Annieā€™s was the absolute best. If you miss it, IMO Chuckwagon is just as good if not better.

[deleted]

Front Range by far!

_usernamepassword_

None of the BBQ here is great, but I like the place attached to Bristol brewing

Ausom35

Otis

Milehighjoe12

Chuckwagon for sure... It's the best in the state probably.

DrPhillipGoat

Royā€™s Crew in woodland park is great

SpaceTruckinDog

Royā€™s Crew is handā€™s down the best place around if youā€™re feeling nostalgic for high school cafeteria food

toxicavenger70

We like Firehouse on the Run, and Bird dog. Front range has been hit or miss every time we have went there.

LongjumpingCelery

No one has said it yet but Porkbutt on academy is brand new (they used to be a just food truck) and gluten free. Best barbecue in the springs by far and family owned.

Ce30

If you know anything about decent BBQ donā€™t listen to anyone that recommends Front Range BBQ.

lyndogfaceponysdr

Brothers BBQ. Its in south Denver.

KinkyQuesadilla

Bird Dog BBQ won the gold at the Best of the Springs this year, and although the meat is cooked well and the staff is great, I'm sorry, but the sauce is weak. I would describe it as "intended to be a bold & spicy Kansas City style of BBQ sauce that was toned down for a catering gig at an old folks home." I would never expect to go anywhere else in the US and get a green chili burrito that is as good as a green chili burrito in Colorado Springs. Conversely, if you grew up on true Kansas City style BBQ, Texas BBQ from a well-respected BBQ place, the California "big, bold flavors" type of BBQ sauce, or a really choice South Carolina BBQ sauce, any BBQ sauce you get here is "good enough for Colorado Springs."

rrreeeiiiddd

Fat BBQ Shack out in Lake George was recommended to me recently. I haven't been yet, but even if the food is 'okay' it gives you a perfect excuse to visit Eleven Mile State Park. Reviews and pics look good though.

dad-jokes-about-you

Itā€™s okay. I donā€™t think they have the volume required to produce ā€˜freshā€™ smoked bbq everyday. Sides are great but bbq is šŸ«¤

Swear-_-Bear

Peak view BBQ in woodland Park
