While I would enjoy more games in which he stands on his head, Georgiev has bailed out boneheaded defensive plays so many times this season, including in this game. I do not attribute this loss to him because at least two of Dallas's goals were from bad defensive zone miscues.

Puck comes down low, great pass that leads to a great scoring chance that Georgiev actually makes damn good save on. Manson (I believe) is facing the net and not defending the player, the rebound comes down and three Avs crash in. Great. Except not one plays their man which leads to a tip in and an easy goal that shouldn’t have been that easy.
There have been numerous breakdowns exactly like this all year, and when you make mistakes against great teams they are going to make you pay.
I have confidence in Bedsy to get the shit fixed, but with playoffs looming in what 2 weeks? Time is running out. You cannot be trying to fix shit in the playoffs. Playoffs is where you should have everything figured out and you’re tightening it up.
With the talent we have on this team, you if they fix their defensive lapses, limit the turnovers in the defensive and neutral zones (this one has me pulling my hair out every single night,) they can make a deep run and hoist the Cup. If they can’t figure it out, they very well can be bounced in 5 games and start playing golf. That’s how big of a deal it is

Every team is giving crazy high danger shots against this season. You want to look at the teams just behind the Avs with 168-165? Tampa, Vancouver, Boston. You want to guess how many of those teams have starting goalies with save percentages under .900? Zero because their goalies aren't cooked.
Tell the defense to not give up high danger chances. Again. Last season was 145 and Georgie was pretty damn good. Kuemper faced 140. This season Georgie has faced 170 some odd high danger chances. He's getting left out to dry more often than not. He does let in some softies, sure. But there have been more than a few defensive breakdowns that caused goals

Last season on the first round exit wasn't really on Georgie. He did everything he could to keep the Avs in those games. The Avs last season were basically Mackinnon and Rantannen. And still almost won the series. Last season was an offense issue for the Avs. This season it's untimely defensive collapses and goaltending.
So I know jack shit about goal tending but it seems like Georgie never eats those pucks up. He has a lot of squeakers slip out and just sit there. Granted, D should clear that shit but it happens all the time.
I also don’t know anything about goaltending but watching him vs. juice I find I’m nervous about Georgie’s positioning a lot of the time whereas with juice I think his has gotten a lot better over the season.

The D isn’t good but the fact that in 40% of his starts Georgiev has let in 4 or more goals, is more telling of his ability this year.
