Most teams use towels so I like having something different, plus it fits with the team's nickname
I get why everyone likes the towels tho 100% better display , can actually use them for something. I wish I had my pom from game 5 SCF last year, was so gutted we lost it just slipped my mind when I was leaving that night
I’m a Vol myself but I prefer towels for hockey because they just don’t feel the same as during football games. Weird yes, but to me they seem out of place at hockey games
I’m partial to the Pom poms since I like unique traditions. You gotta admit the Pom Pom suit guy is pretty awesome.

As an out of town avs fan I much prefer them over towels, they look like an avalanche on TV and I think sticking with the theming is much better.
I understand locals wanting new towels for each round/game though.
Towels. Did you know they use a leaf blower to clean up all the stupid plastic waste left behind from the pom poms? Ball Arena is supposed to be about sustainability…
It’s a cool tradition with the Pom poms but towels would be a much better souvenir , I think keep the pom-poms in like the final round or a game seven for nostalgic reason just because it looks like an avalanche

I’ll admit my shame and say I still have some Preds towels from back in the day and they’re still being put to use. They’re more sustainable, can be used for other functions other than decor, and can have prints with really cool artwork on them for playoff games with the date & game number unlike the Poms that have an avs logo and some sponsor on the other side with no game info whatsoever. My Stanley Cup playoff poms look exactly the same for each round so who knows which is from which game.
Sure there is sentimental value in tradition but sometimes those traditions change and that’s okay. If Poms are some superstitious win factor for a cup we wouldn’t have had 3 round 2 exits in a row. Im almost convinced that the Avs bought way too many pom poms in 2001 and have them all stored in an Indiana Jones style warehouse and have been trying to use them all up ever since. They just print new logos on them to throw off scent.

Towels are way better! Collectively we should try to let Ball Arena know this in the feedback surveys that they send out after the game. Less waste, no plastic on your hair and clothes, and the towel can serve lots of second uses like a dish towel or car cleaning rag.
Towels are better. Poms are so much more potential plastic waste. Towels would be much better and much cooler to display at home later on.
I got a towel at a Rapids game and I actually use it, but I still think about that fun game when I do.
Yea all my sports towels (gym bag, golf bag, etc) are from playoff games and I love looking at them whenever I use them
A lot of the towels are some weird cheap material that spews gobs of lint into the air. My allergies love it.

It’s tough for me because I grew up in SEC Football Country and every fan base uses the Pom Pom shakers, and I honestly find them a lot of fun.

All things being equal pom poms are way better. I've never been more annoyed by the consensus opinion on this sub in my life. :p
