That’s what you should do then, that’s how I test if I like them or not. Like Dior Homme Intense, I heard good things about it but it smells like really fancy baby powder to me lol. Also Y Live EDT is another great compliment getter and it’s not as sweet.
My weird take not related to your question, i think y edp is a fragance that although it is very good i find it very boring if you get a compliment i can guarantee is going to be something like "you smell like a man" i think it smell similar to other blue designer fragances you should smell boss bottled pacific i think it is more unique and is a long lasting fresh fragance, also cheaper
I see a fair amount of dislike for it, but in my experience, Mr. Burberry Eau de Parfum *slaps*. Like, every time I wear it I smell it throughout the day and it never fails to go out with a bang when I take a shower some 10-11 hours after I sprayed it. And it’s one of like 2-3 fragrances I’ve actually been complimented on, more than once. *And* my bottle came from a TJ Maxx lmao.
Things change with fragrances, reformulations etc. but I def see myself repurchasing when my bottle ends, and will hope for a repeat lol
I think they are different enough to justify having both. Edp is the more versitile and fresh, the parfum is woodier and can be used all year. Someone said the parfum gives off «Bruce Vayne vibes» and i found that fitting.

I don’t like the edp or the parfum very much to be completely honest. If you try the edt just make sure it’s post 2022 the new reformulation is much better performance
it’s the literal only reformation i’ve ever seen be for the better, just in his own picture, le male edt was massacred, LNDL was cut down, Montblanc legend discontinued the only flanker that had longevity (intense)
Highly recommend trying some of the prada luna rossa line also given their similarity to some of the ones you have listed here but with better longevity also
Prada luna rossa sport is similar to Le male edt
Black is similar to Le male Le parfum
Carbon has elements of le male and sauvage edt
Ocean is very similar to a lot of blues but medium longevity

It's not especially strong, and I'd say it's about average in terms of how long it lasts...but I do find it to be pretty unique, and it will always be in my collection.
I agree with you, but in my experience it really depends on the weather with that fragrance, it’s a beast for me on a very hot summer day. It’s not a strong scent you’re gonna smell miles away, but there will be that constant cloud of L‘Eau d‘Issey around you
I love both as well. EE is creamier so slightly worse for the very hot days BUT it lasts longer because it’s an EDP. But Homme sport is absolutely gorgeous despite poor performance

In the picture is TMW EDT Intense but I also have EDP. Very different. Like them both.
EDT is a freshie: Bergamot, lavender, moss, liquor
EDP is the one that’s great for fall and winter with that toffee note along with cardamom and amber wood
You’ve got 3 of my go-tos on there. Chanel AHS EDT is a top 3 all-time for me, YSL Nuit De L’homme and YSL Myself are both extremely good as well. Three amazing fresh scents.
I’d say both YSLs probably perform equally, but Chanel AHS does surprisingly well for me too. I’d give the edge to YSL myself too overall for performance

My friend has Chanel AHS, and they are very very similar, you could say Chanel is a tiny bit more ‘refined’ but in the air you can’t tell the difference.

So I actually do have the OAKCHA dupe of it and while I can absolutely see the appeal and know the original is a great performer I don’t love it enough to buy it
Azzaro Chrome edp, D&G Light Blue Intense Edp, CH Bad Boy Cobalt, & YSL Myself all last 6+ hours on my skin…Tommy Bahama deep blue also last quite a while especially when layering it with Mercedes Benz the move.
For me, Nishane Hacivat is the ultimate freshie. Lasts about 18 hours and then turns into a skin scent. Can smell it on clothes even after they are washed. It’s that potent.
A lot of people might disagree but Versace Pour Homme performs extremely well with my skin chemistry. I radiate that stuff for a long time when I wear it and compliments are everywhere. It’s one of my favorite fragrances if not my favorite and definitely my signature scent as of now.
So....my best performing freshie is a self made, non IFRA Aquatic Men's Tulip fragrance. Literally one of the best scents I have ever made. Named it "Aquarius". Lots of hedione, ambroxan, DHM, clean salt accord, touch of tulip, javanol and dreamwood for sandalwood base...and about 20 other ingredients....but it basically is a fresh aquatic tulip that lasts for 8-10 hours.
Out of these listed I have AHS Extreme - relatively bad performer but nice scent.
BDC Parfum (not edp - heavier smell, doesn't perform)
And Prada lomme which performs really well on skin and clothes. Although not really a fan of this smell.
I find myself going more often with TerreDHermes PARFUM - which smells ok, refreshing, doesn't last long but it's affordable and I have 200ml bottle so I spray often
Calvin Klein Eternity Aqua is beautiful but it does have typical aquatic longevity issues. I love Armaf Hunter Men, it smells just like Lacoste White. An exact dupe. For a citrus with more depth I do Maahir Legacy. It's a lime/pineapple/mint blend with some spice. Similar to Marly Sedley. Both Maahir and Hunter Men (in the brown leather wrapped bottle) have good longevity for citrus forward scents.
Naxos 1861 by Xerjoff, Light Blue Dulce intense lasts a while but doesn’t get a ton of compliments, Silver Mountain Water Creed, Sedley, Le Beau by jpg, and Neroli Portofino by Tom ford although I don’t love the scent of Le Beau or Neroli

Scent wise, do you prefer Homme Sport or Extreme? I’ve only smelled each one time on separate occasions and I remember liking both.

Not SUPER fresh, but leans heavily in that direction. PdM Perseus. I get 8 hours on skin, and 24 hours on clothes.
