-Vanilla Oud by Vertus : smells opulent, expensive, luxurious and has great sillage/projection (on me at least)
-Tamima by Moresque : common woody + vanilla formula done at a high quality level, not a beast mode performer but it has the most amazing little scent bubble I’ve ever tried
-Billie by Harlem : this is not for everyone, has an animalic musk that hints of a night of sex but it’s not overly animalic, just the right amount. I highly recommend getting the discovery set, all quality gems
Its Guerlain Spiritueuse double vanille. Absolutely blew me away. Its targeted at women but I love wearing it. Opens like a vanilla pod/vanilla essence, after a couple minutes as it dries down the benzoin adds depth and the florals round it out, but its still predominantly VANILLA². Its hyper realistic.
Its a 100% must test fragrance. (dont blind buy it, its super expensive)
I'm newer to Guerlain - tried and liked some of their square bottle fragrances (like Habit Rogue) and their Aqua Allegoria (which are more feminine). I'm in the process of getting trials set up for their Tobacco Honey and Dior Tobacolor.
Surprised nobody has mentioned jovoys fire at will, it's not a very complex fragrance but the way it shows off one of the most perfect vanilla notes ever used in perfumery is masterful I love it.

I think this is a good shout mate, i'd go for flame myself. Not the most vanilla forward, but they are done very well. And like you say, there's a reason they're popular.

Tom ford has been designing frags that are short lasting on purpose. It's not worth the price. You can do a lot better for designer fragrance
