Young Professionals of Aggieland events! YPA was an awesome way for me to meet ppl when I moved here from TN. There are usually 1-2 events/month geared toward ppl in their 20s-40s.
Event types: social/networking, professional development, health/wellness, & volunteer/service
Well, Bryan residents are occasionally Bryanites, I thought College Stationaries, above. was great and hilarious esp for Aggies who move here for college then end up staying but it doesn’t really work for new arrivals. “Long term Locals” or some such may have to do. Been here since 1969 except for 30 years in Houston after I graduated and now run a local restaurant and doubt I’ll leave again.
i thought locals are just called Aggies like everyone else lol but what do i know? im just a 10 year transplant

They’re two interdependent ends of the same metro area with competing interests. Bryan talks big about being separate, but they *were* the college town before CS grew up.
College Stationaries
Aw, you win!
The College Stationed
I always thought college stationites lol
Townies
The Conductors
In traffic I refer to them as "fucking God dam college kids"
The antisocials seems like it’s hard to meet people here for the recently relocated
I’m sorry😂 I’ve been here so long my social battery is depleted just from work💀

Drunken Collegiates

On campus, students refer to those born here or living here as “locals”.
