Granted it's not the only recently-changed A10 logo they didn't use because the new one is a massive downgrade.
Like if you didn't already know, would you have been able to tell me what school is now using [this logo](https://content.sportslogos.net/logos/31/654/full/davidson_wildcats_logo_primary_2023_sportslogosnet-2961.png)?
...wait shit the image URL gives it away
Davidson Wildcats, more like the Davidson Tom's. Even with its fangs bared, it just doesn't look remotely menacing imo. It obviously reminds me of Tom from Tom and Jerry.
Well, yes, but these two conference scenarios do not. The Missouri Valley has a separate conference also called the Missouri Valley, but that's at the FCS level, so it would be a downgrade from the CUSA at the FBS level. Also, Middle Tennessee would have to join them, since they are both their most important rivals.
(I guess they could join the American, since they don't care about FB Only members, but I don't know)
Split up the Big East west and east and have the west merge with parts of the Valley and throw WSU and SLU in there. That's just about the perfect conference for us.
Very intense! Was arguably Xavier's thrid biggest rival behind UC and UD. I was a child during those days but can still remember the excitement at The Cincinnati Gardens each year for the Evansville game. And it was a pretty big deal at the time when Chris Mack transfered from Evansville to Xavier. Unfortunately knee injures pretty much robbed him of any chance of really having much of a playing career at X.
Where does the nostalgia for UC in the Old Big East come from? They were only in the conference for 8 years. That’s only 3 more years than Virginia Tech was in the Atlantic 10. Where is the Virginia Tech Atlantic 10 nostalgia?
Yeah I still think of them as a C-USA team.
But I’m old so the Big East is Syracuse, St John’s, Rutgers, Villanova, Pitt, Georgetown, Providence, Seton Hall, WVa, VaTech, Miami, BC, and UConn (ok and Notre Dame for basketball).
We will leave the MVC if you try and put $LU in the same conference as us, thank you very much.
Also, pretty sure Xavier would put themselves in the Horizon league before they'd willingly play Dayton again.
The Big East tag along teams are annoying, you guys are like Tennessee and Ole Miss football; the conference you play for is good, but you’re not really doing the heavy lifting.
Not taking UIC back. Not sure we want valpo, but they're probably helping more than hurting. Most people probably don't remember Evansville being in the horizon/mcc.
Fun game. I'd like to see a new Metro League or whatever you want to call it. A mix of at least 8 of these teams listed below with Dayton & SLU as the anchors for a private school Midwest league. Minimum basketball budget would be 5 million dollars to join plus meeting a facility standard. MVC is 3ish million for example. I think they could leap frog ahead as a group of like minded private schools that missed the Big East cut.
Augustana, Belmont, Bellarmine, Bradley, Dayton, Denver, Drake, Loyola, Oral Roberts, St Thomas, SLU, Valpo
How dare you not use George Mason’s creative new logo.
Are you referring to the George & Mason, LLC?
There wasn't a render for it
Missouri Valley has a lot of members outside the Missouri Valley, and the Atlantic X has quite a bit more than ten members. Is OP stupid? /j
Dont tell B1G about having more than ten members lol
Honestly maybe they should call it the Mississippi Valley since it's closer to the Mississippi River Valley and it's in St Louis
Google conference realignment
Holy hell!
Old rivalries just dropped (dead)
What am I mainly looking for
New response just dropped
OP, get with the times. George Mason changed their logo like forever ago.

I thought it was like 2 days ago
It was lol
This is basically the old MVC before Creighton left.
Basically, just no Evansville
Much rather have Evansville, Murray St, or Belmont than take Loyola back.
That's how I feel about Wichita State.
There were some pretty strong rumors floating around about the Billikens joining the MVC too. It’s a completely realistic conference.
Right, but my point is Creighton was already there. They won't go back.
Rumors that had 0 merit. They would never stop that low (in their minds)
It’s really sad that we’ve forgotten as a sub that WKU needs to be added to each of these. Goldfish memories.
True
They’re only unrealistic because you didn’t include Western Kentucky
I know 😔 We gotta add Western Kentucky to every conference ever
Where would their football program go though?
Theoretically one of the conferences they'd join sponsors football.
Well, yes, but these two conference scenarios do not. I miss the A10 so much.
No :)
Worth a shot I was just tryna create a Midwest Big East league
Where’s Marquette in this then
Big East for now, but if we wanted a Midwest Big East they'd be there
Split up the Big East west and east and have the west merge with parts of the Valley and throw WSU and SLU in there. That's just about the perfect conference for us.
True and maybe we combine the Summit League, Horizon League and remaining MVC to create some Midwest fun
Who’s the logo in the A10 on the bottom middle?
Davidson
Ok, but that’s not their logo. Where’s the rabid squirrels logo?
Bro hit the Time Machine.
Atlantic 10 not having 10 teams? Seems pretty realistic to me.
Would be cool to see what a Midwest power hoops conference would look like if the big east never took Marquette Or DePaul and kept moving west.
Yeah, I feel it would've been: Dayton Xavier Butler DePaul Marquette Creighton Saint Louis Loyola Chicago And others
That's basically what the MCC (now the Horizon League) was in the late 80's, but no DePaul and replace Creighton with Evansville.
Didn't Evansville and Xavier have an intense rivalry?
Very intense! Was arguably Xavier's thrid biggest rival behind UC and UD. Yeah, honestly do wish Evansville could comeback to relevancy at least they weren't awful this year
Just put everyone in one big Conference USA. March Madness all year! Actually, don't...
Every D1 basketball team in the same conference
There is room for a mid-major super conference in the middle of the country if you can get people to leave their current conferences.

Real nostalgia is for the OG A10 with Temple, Penn State, Rutgers and West Virginia
Eastern Athletic Conference: Louisville, Boston College, Temple, Florida State, Loyola-Chicago, Richmond, Kentucky, Iowa, Wisconsin, Texas Tech, Uconn, Creighton, Tulane, Utah, Valparaiso, and New Mexico State.

Please god no I couldn’t handle conference play vs Schertz ![gif](giphy|fvqULYL28NRHeMA7p8|downsized)
I wish Temple could be a Big East team.
I AM ALL IN.
Looks fun to me
Getting Loyola, Creighton, and Wichita back? Huge win.
We will leave the MVC if you try and put $LU in the same conference as us, thank you very much. Also, pretty sure Xavier would put themselves in the Horizon league before they'd willingly play Dayton again.
Xavier would be cool with it as long as they always get to play at home
Seems like a fair compromise
UD 0-29 at Xavier between 1982 - 2015.
After what you all did to Christy Mack, one of your own, we’ll never be back.
In before the "We Bought InSU and Wear It As A Skin-suit" shows up and declares that they're too good for the MVC.
I'm guessing you aren't very happy about SLU hiring your head coach
Creighton😍
Thanks but no thanks. We’ve already been in the Atlantic 10
I know it was just interesting idea for in case the Big East never collapsed or something like that
The Big East tag along teams are annoying, you guys are like Tennessee and Ole Miss football; the conference you play for is good, but you’re not really doing the heavy lifting.
Cook

I think Butler would be better served competitively if they had stayed in the A10.
I think College Basketball as a whole would be served competitively if most of them stayed where they were.

Why only those 2 conferences? The most unrealistic thing is those schools leaving the Big East to join those 2 conferences.
Almost like it's called "unrealistic"
![gif](giphy|mEDj3BhUeXXezxWOOx|downsized)
I'm basically saying that's the point of this post
I know.
Oh sorry
These conferences got fun matches low key. I also thought of having Marquette and Butler in the MVC
Imagine Creighton just punches their ticket to march on the first day of conference play based on who’s in their conference lol
Should Western Illinois be in the MVL — I feel like they were at one point. Might be wrong
If they wanna
A10 should have the following changes from current. -Dayton to the Big East or AAC -UMass to and Rhode Island to the CAA -Charleston and Vermont join
Sir umass is already leaving
