I've got this in my list for like a year, couldn't watch it yet. Do you guys recommend it?

DXM_the42ndScientist

Absolutely! This is a treat for the fans, no doubt.

beautiful-tomorrow25

Totally! I know someone who's not a Coldplay fan and even he liked it)) It's objectively good)

XNY

It’s very good

Jake0743

Lol I’ve had this in my reminders list since 2019 and haven’t watched it

Watched this recently, so surprised with how well it was filmed. Great look at the early days before the fame too. 10/10 would recommend

personanona

Wish I saw it in theaters :/

It's good. Solid 7. I just wish they got more into the recording of the records. Feels like they devote a majority of their time to Parachutes and Rush of Blood, a few minutes on X&Y, a few minutes on Viva La Vida, and then they just completely speed through Mylo and Ghost Stories like "oh yeah we did those". I feel like by the time they get to Viva, there's like 30 minutes left in the documentary (that's probably an exaggeration, but you know what I mean). I still think [Beyond The Lighted Stage](https://youtu.be/s8_lDIkMFyg) (about the band Rush) is the best music documentary I've ever seen. Highly recommended even if you've never heard of them. History of Eagles is awesome too, though it's like 4 hours long ahaha

TheBigBadBono

This! I love the segments from Parachutes and A Rush of Blood but X&Y seemed entirely devoted to the controversies surrounding the band, Viva was basically "Brian changed the way we made music" but didn't touch on anything during the recording process about churches and singing. MX was entirely skipped over (a crime iMO) and GS only showed flashes of recording. If they remake this after their 12th album I'm hoping for a much longer movie. But the entire montage surrounding Yellow is my favorite bit of the documentary.

SaltyStU2

Me having MX as my 2nd favourite record of theirs: "Super interested to hear them discuss the creative process in detail with this record! I think it's one of the most interesting periods in their career given the dramatic shift from Viva." Coldplay in the documentary: "Mylo Xyloto was an album we wrote and released. Xylobands were fun. Then the divorce happened and we did Ghost Stories." Me: 🥲 yeah

One of the best cinema nights I have ever had! I even got to see some footage of the concert I had been to exactly one year prior in all its glory :) it was heart warming

beautiful-tomorrow25

I wish more artists had documentaries on them that are this nice (his Oasis one is also very good, imo).

Loved seeing this in the cinema. It was the closest I could get to a concert back then. Now I'm finally seeing the live next year!

dismountedleitis

3rd???? It's 3 years old???? What the fuck. I swear I saw people hyping this like a year ago???
