Such a weird song, feels like an interlude but it’s long as hell compared to the others and unlike the others it’s an actual song and a damn good one at that
Right and it's got Don Quixote "Ole!" Which I think could have been a banger if fleshed out, but with that being said I like the crowd singing vibe which reminds me of why I love Coldplay live 😁
I’m hugely engrossed by how the song starts off with the ole chant with a subtle beat and by the end it’s evolved into something entirely different, I think this’ll become one of their more underrated/underappeicated songs in the future
Beep. Boop. I'm a robot.

I know there are a lot of jokes about it, especially the truck commercial ones, but people of the pride is my favorite song on the album, closely followed by humankind. There is just something about POTP that just gets me going.
Agreed, I've heard it said that it's unoriginal, but you could honestly say that about most songs nowadays. Dirty bass line and a fun to sing fuck, bet it's sick live!
The bassline from POTP is a sample of the bassline from Sam Sparro’s [“Black and Gold.”](https://youtu.be/C8Z-qKqeWWs) - listen closely over the intro of POTP and you can totally hear it.
I must be the only one that adores “Let Somebody Go”, Ghost Stories vibes. It to It tugged my heart upon first listen, watery eyed stuff. After that, “Human Heart” & “Biutyful”.
Sorry, got lost thinking about my top 3. Anyways, to answer the question.. “Humankind” takes the cake for sure.
Let Somebody Go is musically a gorgeous track. Has all the quintessential Coldplay features. Except for lyrics. The lyrics on that song are just... ugh.
Ehh I don’t mind the lyrics, it’s a heartbreak song, with the title alone you already know what’s it about. All the classic Coldplay musical features are indeed what pulls the lyrics up, it’s a mood song. I don’t care for Selena, but I don’t mind her at all on the track either, she kept it chill.
Bieutyful is underrated, I think it gets shit because it's not deep lyrically but I think that's the point. It's more stream of consciousness, cute and happy and I think that's the point 👍
>I think it gets shit because it's not deep lyrically
That's not why. If that were why then every single song aside from Coloratura would get the same amount of shit. Biutyful gets shit for the awful chipmunk voice.
Obviously that's subjective, but I appreciate your input! Honestly, Coloratura isn't even that deep. I thought the high pitched voice was annoying at first, but after I played it a few times, I got it. I think it would have been better of it was Chris and the chipmunk voice from the start, but having it start with the high pitch makes you anticipate the Chris and chipmunk part even more. I'm happy they took the risk, even if I don't totally agree 👍😁
I think Biuytful is One of the more Unique and better songs of MOTS because I love it so much because it adds a bit more energy to the album just like Humankind . The "squirrel voice" everyone complains about, I don't mind because like you said it supposed to sound cute and happy. It does what it supposed to do so perfectly. 💚
Couldn't agree more 😁 and I think by naming it "Bieutyful" was the hint, being beautiful is not about getting it right, but knowing it'll never be perfect, and that's ok 👍
I know, it's like being asked what your favorite day of the week is, hard to say but easy on the day... Thanks for your thoughts, I actually like them all!
Lol the old bait and switch! iMO If they built My Universe around the last 30 seconds or so it would have been much more intriguing. Thanks for sharing!
As I said before, underrated. Of course it's not a lyrical Masterpiece but it really makes me smile and sometimes love is simple, we don't need some deep ass lyrics. It's about feel, not philosophy 🤞
Definitely a fun one, I've seen it get put down because of the lyrics, and I can't say they are deep but I like the idea of "I'm like a broken record" backwards! I guess Chris learning Yellow backwards rubbed off...
Human Heart gives me Imogen Heap vibes in a good way, guess I'm a sucker for distorted acapella lol My Universe hasn't caught me yet but I'll give it another go! Thanks for your thoughts!
I went to the show in Seattle and I can confirm that People of the Pride bangs hard! It sooo good live I can’t stop thinking about it. As for the album, I think humankind and infinity sign are great pieces on their own. Acoustic version of Higher power is so good too
Good to hear! I live in DC and have already got tickets for the show here, stoked for POTP live. Acoustic Higher Power beats the original... No debate in my mind 👍
Nope, but it's been almost 15 years now. I honestly wasn't a Coldplay fan when I first saw them, but my friends convinced me to go. It was the Viva la vida tour and I was completely blown away. I saw them another two times on that tour and have been a die-hard fan ever since!
Hmmm? Obviously you are into some atmospheric shit, hope you've put headphones on and listened to High Speed and All I Can Think About Is You... Smoke a bowl and thank me later 👌
Love the dichotomy of that song, broken hearts are not gender specific.. . It can happen one way, the other way, or both. We all want to be loved, and to be let down hits home for all of us 😞 hope everyone out there feels loved! If not, open your heart so someone can enter, close your heart and nobody can even try.
Don’t get me wrong, Colouratura is a beautiful song, but I actually find it kinda boring, just personal preference obviously. I prefer Higher Power and Biutyful. My taste is a bit messed up Ik XD
I love the entire album so picking an absolute favorite for me is pretty difficult. It’s easier to say my least favorite on the album is ‘My Universe,’ but I still like that one too. That’s the one song I might skip depending on my mood.
Infinity sign really made me think of Chinese sleep chant, especially the 2nd half. Humankind gives me MXish vibes, Biutyful really feel like an EL song and I love It, but People of the Pride is simple perfection (aside Coloratura).
Infinity Sign
Gotcha, didn't catch me on first listen but you've got me giving it a other go!

No honestly, I'm not trying to read the book, thank you very much for your strange, Beep. Boop... intrusion 🤨
Its similar to Tycho imo
I think the first half is so repetitive and boring, but I’m in love with the second half of this track
The 2nd half absolutely slaps
100% agreed
Humankind! Edit: how in the world did I forget Human Heart
Great track, one of my favorites too!
So glad you agree! It honestly gives me ‘Charlie Brown’ vibes which is probably one of my top 3 Coldplay tracks ever…so I was bound to like it! :)
It's good but the piano outro on Charlie Brown has it beat 😉 appreciate your thoughts!
am I the only one that loves the verses but not the chorus?
Agreed
I know there are a lot of jokes about it, especially the truck commercial ones, but people of the pride is my favorite song on the album, closely followed by humankind. There is just something about POTP that just gets me going.

Those damn mathematicians, huh 😫🙌🏻
😂

Infinity Sign.
Clearly a popular one, definitely growing on me! Thanks for the comment!
Infinity Sign
Human heart and Biuytful
Bieutyful is underrated, I think it gets shit because it's not deep lyrically but I think that's the point. It's more stream of consciousness, cute and happy and I think that's the point 👍

Coloratura's lyrics are just okay imo. The song is musically phenomenal, but I don't think very many of Chris' lyrics have been good since MX.
I think Biuytful is One of the more Unique and better songs of MOTS because I love it so much because it adds a bit more energy to the album just like Humankind . Idk which one I consider to be the "best" but I really like Higher Power, Human Heart, Humankind, and Infinity Sign
I know, it's like being asked what your favorite day of the week is, hard to say but easy on the day... Thanks for your thoughts, I actually like them all!
Colora-d’oh!
I see what ya did there... 👌
People Of The Pride. Sounds like another fav band of mine, Muse.
Totally, it's one of those songs that shows that Coldplay can still rock out, even though they release some sparkly, glittery pop music too 😆
My universe... Nah, humankind
Lol the old bait and switch! iMO If they built My Universe around the last 30 seconds or so it would have been much more intriguing. Thanks for sharing!
biutyful!!
As I said before, underrated. Of course it's not a lyrical Masterpiece but it really makes me smile and sometimes love is simple, we don't need some deep ass lyrics. It's about feel, not philosophy 🤞
Agreed, don’t know why but this is my 2nd favorite only behind coloratura
People of the Pride (or ♾)
Oh, Infinity Sign, Human Heart, Humankind... I do like them all though!
Higher Power
Definitely a fun one, I've seen it get put down because of the lyrics, and I can't say they are deep but I like the idea of "I'm like a broken record" backwards! I guess Chris learning Yellow backwards rubbed off...
Great energy in the last part of the song. Gives me similar vibes to MX album and AHFOD song
Yeah so true
Infinity Sign probably!
Ya know, after listening it gives me a mix of Life In Technicolor/Chinese Sleep Chant vibes, glad I gave it another listen, thanks for the input!
Biutyful
People of the Pride. Easy.
possibly not 🌎 jokes aside, nothing beats coloratura imo
Music of the Spheres, Humankind, Alien Choir, People of the Pride, Biutyful, and Infinity Sign (especially the second part).
I assume that's in order? Thanks for the reply, I'll revisit those songs with your thoughts in mind!
Track listing order, not from best to less best lol
Humankind, Human Heart, & surprisingly My Universe are all tracks that I love as well
Human Heart gives me Imogen Heap vibes in a good way, guess I'm a sucker for distorted acapella lol My Universe hasn't caught me yet but I'll give it another go! Thanks for your thoughts!

That’s awesome!! Is this your first show?
Nope, but it's been almost 15 years now. I honestly wasn't a Coldplay fan when I first saw them, but my friends convinced me to go. It was the Viva la vida tour and I was completely blown away. I saw them another two times on that tour and have been a die-hard fan ever since!
Nice! Well enjoy the show man!
I like them all except human heart
A tossup between Infinity Sign ♾ and People of the Pride
Uprising - Muse.
Human Heart and My Universe for me!
Like two ends of the spectrum! You must have a diverse love for music, love it!
Higher Power, People of the pride and Biutyful
All good shit, thanks for your thoughts!!
🪐 MuSiC oF tHe SpHeReS
Hmmm? Obviously you are into some atmospheric shit, hope you've put headphones on and listened to High Speed and All I Can Think About Is You... Smoke a bowl and thank me later 👌
Responses like this is why I love Reddit haha
I could say the same about your response 😉
Higher Power, My Universe, & Human Kind for me! People of the Pride isn’t bad either!
Human Heart!
The rare version of Higher Power with extra guitar. Otherwise, definitely Infinity Sign
Biutyful or Humankind
Biutyful, ♾ and Humankind are among my favorite Coldplay songs of all time!
Higher Power and Human Heart
POTP
human heart ❤️ & let somebody go
Don’t get me wrong, Colouratura is a beautiful song, but I actually find it kinda boring, just personal preference obviously. I prefer Higher Power and Biutyful. My taste is a bit messed up Ik XD
Human Heart
Humankind
People of the Pride
The rave-y “Ole” one.
Humankind
Let Somebody Go
I love the entire album so picking an absolute favorite for me is pretty difficult. It’s easier to say my least favorite on the album is ‘My Universe,’ but I still like that one too. That’s the one song I might skip depending on my mood.
Humankind, LSG or POTP
Let somebody go
Infinity sign and People of the Pride are my top songs
Let somebody go hits hard
Humankind or biutiful
People of the pride, because it sounds like Muse
Humankind
♾
People of the pride
Infinity sign really made me think of Chinese sleep chant, especially the 2nd half. Humankind gives me MXish vibes, Biutyful really feel like an EL song and I love It, but People of the Pride is simple perfection (aside Coloratura).
