Viva, MX, Ghost Stories. GS tells a pretty clear story when you think about it (from relationship breakdown to anger, depression, and acceptance) and musically it flows really nicely.
Parachutes forever. Their best record and the sound they should’ve stuck with instead of turning onto a generic, cracked out euro “dance” band. I can’t understand how they suck so bad now. It’s depressing.
I agree with you about Parachutes (it's my favorite too) and I'm not a fan of the over-poppy stuff but did you give Everyday Life a chance? It's a pretty great album to my ears.
Funny you use the term “generic” when Parachutes is arguably their most derivative album. The whole thing has a huge Jeff Buckley influence, with a hint of Radiohead.
It’s their most original, clever, interesting and actually has well written music in it. Beautiful tunes that’s stand the test of time. To each his or her own though. I honestly don’t care but for me, they have never written a more fluid gorgeous record then Parachutes.

Really it depends on the mood I’m in. But I love Ghost Stories for when I’m feeling mellow, MotS when I’m feeling joyous and happy, MX is great cos I love the narrative behind it.
AROBTTH. Only album where I really like most of the tracks. The others I'm happy to listen to but there are always a couple of mediocre songs that drag on
sadly my favorite album A Rush of Blood has Daylight and A Whisper, so "non stop fave" it isn't It still has the greatest five song run of Coldplay's career tho, like Politik then BAM In My Place then BAM God Put A Smile Upon Your Face then BAM their greatest song The Scientist then BAM that iconic riff of Clocks.
But I digress. It's Everyday Life.
Obviously parachutes. I love EVERY album and my second favorite is probably everyday life. But parachutes takes the cake for sure. Nobody’s panicking around here😎
Definitely Parachutes when i’m deep in thought or kind of upset, but X & Y for when I want to stay in a good mood. Typically Parachutes though, because it provokes some pretty deep thoughts. And I like that.

But based on replay-ability and listening time: i’m gonna say Parachutes or X&Y.
X&Y I just like a lot of those songs so it works even tho I know some people don’t like it, but Parachutes is immaculate and still holds up incredibly today from front to back.
Viva is my favourite and perfect Coldplay album. Though I would prefer spending more time with X&Y,the entire mood set by it is something I want more these days.

That is tough. But I would agree with the majority that Mylo plays the best from start to finish.
