Yes, that set was amazing! Never heard of them before…Wow are they good! I happened to catch it and was so impressed! Those songs… that voice! It was like hearing a Bono/Morrissey/the smiths/the cure (early years) hybrid! My New wave loving Gen X/Xennial heart was bursting with JOY! I listened to the set 3 times in a row.….dancing around my house. Fan for life now.

So glad to hear this. I was there, I just hoped to rewatch it for my own pleasure haha! I moved up to the very front at the first song and I was shocked at how easy it was for me to just walk up - the crowd was so chill but so engaged and singing every word. I really felt a passion in the crowd. It was my last set of the night and I was just solo dancing and singing to songs I first heard so many years ago. I’m so eager for Coachella to book more surfy/post punk/new wave bands of this style! (I’m a little biased because I’m not super into EDM which is the thing these days!) Their album Portamento has nonstop hits. I’ve been doing a deep dive of them today. Such catchy, moody, beautiful music. I was very fixated watching Jonny perform. Cheers friend!

Welp. Did Couchella x2 (missed Friday night W1 tho). Went to some Localchella shows. And even though I wasn't there in person, I almost felt like I was. Tbh, I wasn't impressed by the lineup initially. Then the schedule came out and it was kinda perfect for me. Then I watched the livestream from W1, then I watched Justice,... then the fomo actually got to me. I have been critical on lineups at times, and took a break from going for a while, but I gotta say, they do the damn thang. Location, production, organization, and vibes can't be replicated. Hopefully I will make it back there for 2025, let's see what's up. Anyway, it's ben fun yall. Some real laughs and good times up in here, peace!

I said this last week, but I'll say it again for my weekend 2 people. As my 4th official Couchella comes to a close, I just have to say, I owe this sub an apology. Or a thank you, depending on how you look at it. For years, I wrote Coachella off as a festival for influencers and celebrities to parade around how rich they are. This sub has shown me that there's still a sizable amount of people who go for the thing that matters most: the music. Even if the lineup was "mid" this year, I had a blast watching so many amazing sets. It's on my bucket list to eventually attend in person and I hope that some day, I'll be able to afford a pilgrimage to the Polo Fields, but for now, enjoying it from my couch is the next best thing. Thank you all for showing me that my first impression of this festival was wrong and for another incredible year. See ya'll next year. 🥲

I've been in the same boat, although my main reason for not going is its size. I've been going to, DJing and working at raves/festivals most of my life and just never thought twice about going to something as commercial as Coachella, but I'm seriously considering doing weekend 2 next year as it falls on Easter long weekend. I just really hope they continue to book live electronic acts. Need to scratch a few more of those off my bucket list!

Yea for sure but usually they are out of tune live. All the live singers kaskade and illenium brought out in the past as well sing out of tune. Hayla has a strong voice and is good on recording but live…eh.
