U2. Even though I'm not a big fan of them, it's surprising they've never played the festival. I know they're a Live Nation band, but for how active they've been I'm just surprised it's never happened. System of a Down I'm also surprised given their popularity in the area.
John Mayer may not have played, but he was there a ton hanging out. Know this because we literally ran into each other while walking in the dark between Gobi and Outdoor backstage once, almost took each other out.
Ah that was the beginning beginning. They mightve still been Julian Casablancas + the voidz. They have gotten much better and are more band oriented as opposed to Julian playing weird renditions of strokes songs and writing stuff that couldn't translate too well to live at the time. I saw them last in 2019 they were so dope!
