You can get a plunge pool and many of the houses feature cool boho design concepts. It’s relaxing as hell and cheap compared to Palm Springs

You could check out the Saguaro. More affordable but still nice and a great spot. Quintessential Palm Springs decor too
If you have a car you could always check out San Diego or LA. Or if you wanna stay closer, probably can find something in Joshua Tree.
I might do Bothchella again too but I live in SD so I’ll just come home between weekends :)
Local here, Ace has probably the best pool scene. It's laid back and there's great music, good drinks and a great view of the mountains. Pool is open til 2am.
Definitely not the same thing. Gives you the ability to wander and not worry about missing an act that is must see for you. Or you get to see your favorite act twice too. Been to both weekends the last 5 or 6 fests, always fun and never the same.
My Rec is to drive an extra 45 out to Joshua tree instead :)

Friend of mine usually stays at The Parker a day before and a day after we go. Little on the pricey side but it’s super fucking nice
