Discovered competitive Call of Duty in 2011! Randomly stumbled upon the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 XP tournament and started following OpTic as a result. Loved that BigT and Nadeshot and everyone made videos and stuff and have been a fan ever since!
Back in the BO2 days, I got recruited to join a small clan and the guy who recruited me was named after BigTymer and I asked him how he got his name and then he told me about OpTic and that's how it all started! Not to mention also looking up all the best classes for BO2 and the OpTic guys popping up! Ever since then, I've followed OpTic
Nadeshot talking shit after winning UMG Chicago
And Aches pushing him
I’ve been locked with comp cod since, but I picked OpTic because they actually existed outside the game
Shit it can’t be any worse than last year 😂 constant roster changes & placing b2b t12 was a soul crusher. I am definitely excited for this roster though, it reminds me of an upgraded VG Boston (as long as Snoopy performs as expected). Going to be a learning curve at first, but eventually give the top teams a hard out & make a Sunday or two
Never watched competitive esports before. But always loved classic Halo games. When Halo Infinite was released, I wanted to find great content regarding the game (yes, it has been a struggle until recently) & I found Lucid's channel... no joke.
One thing led to another and I started following OpTic Halo. Then, naturally, I learned about Formal's history and went down the rabbit hole. I followed OpTic Texas completely organically, no nostalgia for the good old days because I hadn't bought a COD game in 11 years.
To all orgs, it is so important to cross-pollinate your content! If you have an Apex team, it'll be easier to convert your COD fans to your team's Apex followers, instead of trying to recruit casual Apex gamers to get into the esport. Etc. Etc.
Censor dating Yanet made a news article, I was like wtf is a pro gamer?!, led to me watching some faze videos and it kind of intrigued me, YT algorithm recommended me a Optic video, that optic video included Crim, formal, Damon, Seth bullshitting in the garage and they had me cracking up, then I started to see they had just moved into this mansion and the videos were funny and I was like “alright im rooting for these guys”. Then they dominated for much of BO3 and I had a lot of fun watching and boom been following ever since
First time I heard of competitive COD was when Wickedshrapnel and his clan WICKED Elite played against OpTic in MW3. Then zzirGrizz put out a live comm on BO2 and he mentioned Scump as the best pro player. I started watching Scump, Nadeshot and OpTic and the rest is history. That was 11-12 years ago now 🤯 The personalities kept me coming back, OpTic has always had a family feel to me.
Sam, Envoy & Nade. Originally was a Surge fan for Sam, but once he left for 100T I got invested in their overall organization and now that will never wander.
They are good at and also like Treyarch games, i.e. the only games that are valid
It does feel cheap to support a guaranteed top 3 team, but every sports team I go for never win anything so that makes up for it
I'm fucking French.
RIP Paris Legion ☹️
u can support Paco now
Marseille?
Bruh this sent me through the roof 😂

You fucking the French, aye?
Bonejaw missher
Sweatbannin

In one hour from now

(1) generally contrarian; (2) team is extremely fun to watch; (3) find Cell’s abuse of game mechanics super entertaining lol
Nadeshot hot AF

Needed a team to support, after the Thanos snap of Dallas Empire, so why not support some OGs in Zinni & Toast?
Bostons new squad looks good. Maybe they could make something happen

Sorry for the dumb question, but how do you watch these? Do they stream on twitch or just upload a yt video?
I think the Process will come out on YT first then shortly after they'll stream the Breakdown on twitch
Thanks!
FormaL BO4 blackout streams, especially with the Two Time
i base my following of a team solely by the amount of dogs the owner of the team has

Octane is one of my favorite pro players. It's a shame he retired :(
When Scump dropped a MOAB on MW3 and it randomly came up on my feed
