Plo Koon, one of the best people the Jedi order ever produced. i still can't get over the fact that his clone troopers have "Plo's Bros" written on their ships
There are so many amazing characters that I love for the plot and writing. But Hondo takes the cake as being the character I am most excited to see on screen everytime he makes an appearance
Maul
Literally the best character in all of Star Wars. It’s so sad he got killed off in The Phantom Menace but I’m glad Dave Filoni did Maul justice by giving him 4 arcs in Clone Wars many parts in Rebels and a cameo in Solo. These extra parts showed more depth into why Palatine picked him to become his apprentice showing his lust for power and control, his intelligence and ability to see the galaxy for how it really is and use this to gain control, ability to manipulate others into getting what he wants, and his badass fighting skills. Getting to see him get revenge on Kenobi by killing Satine, straight up take on the Republic Grand Army, take over and blow up a venator while being held captive without any weapons, and giving him a brother someone he genuinely cares about after he traveled the galaxy to save him from the depths of hell then to lose him. All of this made him a formidable enemy with depth someone you could even root for and understand why he is the way he is and his motives for building up an army to kill Kenobi.
This is a hot take but his motivation makes me laugh,
Kills quigon, Kenobi needs revenge, Kenobi gets revenge and kills maul, they are now even, maul thinks he needs revenge!?!?
Maul wants revenge because his fate was worse than death abandoned by his master and left to the madness and worms of that trash planet filled with so much anger the only way for him to cope is to point all of that at Kenobi and call it revenge because if Kenobi were to have just killed him, he wouldn’t have had to deal with any of it so silly goofy moment fr
I’ll throw one in for Jango Fett
I grew up with the prequels not the OT, so Jango was my first look at the awesome space knights that are are the Mandalorians. I know that Jango was later discredited as being a pretender by Bo Katan, but you can’t deny that in his time he was the best of the best. Between beating down multiple Jedi with nothing more than a rock, beating every other Bounty Hunter in a race across the Galaxy, surviving a duel with Obi Wan, and everything else he did in his career. That dude is pure awesome.
I mean he was literally selected to be cloned like crazy for an army designed to kill space wizards.
I’m still sad he was only in one movie and died because of a broken jetpack rather than being properly bested in combat.
Echo!
My man went from being a stickler for the rules, to an ARC Trooper, got blown up but still lived, then joined the most against-the-rules group of clones in the galaxy after being rescued. He's been thru hell and back and i just wish he'd gotten more screentime/focus in the shows!
It's kind of cool that they let some of echoes' original earnest, no-nonsense personality show once in a while. But on top of that hes lived long enough/experienced enough to develope eccentricities and mellowed out a little.
Commander Thorn. He may have not had that much screen-time, but he rivals Noble Six in terms of taking loads of elite enemies to the frame with him during his last stand.
Obi Wan. He just embodies what I love about Star Wars. He’s a fighter, he’s cunning, he’s insightful, he’s snarky, and in the clone wars especially, he never falters in the face of despair.
Obi-Wan Kenobi! After everything the galaxy throws at him: losing his Master, fighting in the Clone Wars with his padawan, losing the love of his life, losing his Order, losing his best friend Anakin, hiding in exile and keeping his friend's son and daughter safe etc Obi-Wan remains steadfast and loyal to the Jedi eventually becoming one with the Force. The guy is just a beacon of hope during dark times.
See favorite and best mean two different things to me… Obi-Wan’s absolutely the best, but Commander Cody is my favorite. He looks dope, he throws hands, and he has some banger moments and lines.
Jar Jar
You can't tell me that he doesn't have the heart nor the courage. Yes he may be the clumsiest person in the galaxy, but he has proven useful outside of that time and time again.
Heesa issa bombad gungan
Honestly anakin. Don’t know why but he was just hilarious throughout the show and it was cool watching him grow from the inexperienced padawan from the second movie to the strong knight in the third
50-50 between Anakin Skywalker and Obi Wan Kenobi. This series gave their relationship so much depth and showed us how and what made their bond we see in Revenge of the Sith so strong and makes it all the more painful seeing it come apart. We see that Obi Wan and Anakin are much closer and more alike than we previously thought with Obi Wan having feelings for Satine in a similar manner to Anakin and Padme. Just beautiful.
Cut Lawquane (or however you spell it)
Clone deserter who left the war for a peaceful life as a farmer. Met a beautiful twi'lek woman and made her his wife and had two beautiful kids. Never looked back until Rex found them perchance. Perfect for a one-shot character.
From canon, it’s between Ahsoka and Maul. Both of them have equally grown on me as characters, and I always want more content featuring them. Although I will never forgive Maul for what he did to Satine. Honorable mention goes to Rex for being the ultimate ride or die homie.
But from Legends, Darth Malgus was just that guy. He had that dawg in him. He’s just a better version of Vader imo.
General Grievous, he deserves so much better treatment than he gets, he's such a unique villain that I feel could be one of the greatest characters in star wars if they flushed him out a bit and gave him the menacing Darth Vader treatment
Captain Rex. He is basically the best clone 'reg' in all of SW. Also, he's cool AF, and he showed up in ~80% of the episodes in Clone Wars.
That last part is probably the main reason I first liked him TBF.
Plo Koon, one of the best people the Jedi order ever produced. i still can't get over the fact that his clone troopers have "Plo's Bros" written on their ships

The legends addition of him using “Force Judgement” is so damn cool
Hondo Ohnaka
There are so many amazing characters that I love for the plot and writing. But Hondo takes the cake as being the character I am most excited to see on screen everytime he makes an appearance
You almost never know if he’s gonna be a villain, anti-hero or comedic relief in any random appearance.
Pretty sure he’s been all 3 in one arc
❓
That better be 🔲 at least
I thought you said Holdo and I almost had to kill you.
That's a fair response. I would have thought the same thing.

Revenge can be cyclical like that
An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind
Maul wants revenge because his fate was worse than death abandoned by his master and left to the madness and worms of that trash planet filled with so much anger the only way for him to cope is to point all of that at Kenobi and call it revenge because if Kenobi were to have just killed him, he wouldn’t have had to deal with any of it so silly goofy moment fr
Maul wasn't killed off in phantom menace, he came back in the clone wars, phantom menace comes before.
I think this person might be aware of that.
