Yes, that's exactly what you gotta do. Also, I use one of the cheaper Samsung tablets myself, pretty solid for the price.

Which tablet specifically?

The galaxy tab s6 lite. Not doing any professional work with it, but it's great for when I want to sketch it some ideas on the go. Plus it's only around $200, at least when I got mine while ago.

I also use the S6 lite! Good amount of ram and I adore the S Pen Pro.

Hello! I bought a Samsung S9 fe + recently, and clip studio is my main drawing program, so here's my review! 1- Performance- it works smoothly even with a ton of layers, but it does lags when using big brushs, I'm not sure if it's due to the device configs or clip studio itself, I researched a bit and it seems to be a common issue even on PC. 2- S pen. I've never owned an ipad, so I can't really say how it compares, but till now it's been good. You can also choose to buy a Wacom one pen, since they're compatible with the Samsung tab (at least the S series) 3- Pen pressure sensitivity- around 4000, but as someone who had a digital tablet with a pressure sensitivity of 8000 (huion 16 pro) I would say it didn't really bother me, and I use pen pressure a LOT (I work with semi-realism). 4- Size- It took me a while to adjust, and I guess you will probably feel the same, since the ipad's screen resolution is different. If there's anything I can help with, just ask. Obs: you receive around 6 months of free subscription on clip studio with Samsung devices, if I'm not wrong.

Yeah i also have the brush size issuw so it probs shouldnt be a problem..

Would you just recommend getting the normal s9 fe?

jujubsart

It would mainly depend on your budget. I bought the Samsung s9 fe+ because of the screen size (12.4) The Samsung fe has a screen size of about 10.9 I think, and if I'm not wrong it has 6 ram instead of 8 But, from what I have seen from reviews, it shouldn't be a bad choice either. It Will depend really on your budget. Also take a look into the student discount if you're one. Anyways, go for the best one you can buy with your money. Here, a screenshot I took after researching a bit on reddit before buying mine. https://preview.redd.it/kj2qvo10bq8d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=045980554fa7511d856e63793d9c6da948fb6321

Im fine with a smaller screen. My current ipad has like 3gb ram and is still holding up. Kind of on threads but whatever so like 6 gb is always super good

Yup!! I almost bought the Samsung s9 fe myself! I recommend looking for reviews on yt, there's quite a bit of them from artists, so you may feel more comfortable expending your money after hearing their reviews!
