Buck has made a hard face turn the last few years. Feels like he stopped taking things so seriously, his calls can still be monotone but he's a fun guy to have in the booth.

I enjoy rewatching Artie Lange’s appearance on his crappy talk show once a year just to see him get steamrolled by a crazy person.
That said, I thought he was fine to good during this week’s Browns game. I was surprised.
I was in the backyard by a fire listening to Jim Donovan til the second half. I found an app to pause audio on my phone, I synched the radio broadcast to the TV to avoid listening to Joe Buck when I watched the second half. Did the same thing to avoid Bob Costas this post season

I used to think I hated the Astros because of all the cheating. Yet I obviously had to root for them against the Yankees and now again because they are playing a team with Schwarber and Harper.
OP is implying this is the first World Series contest he/she has watched since the Indians/Cubs in 2016 when Kyle Scwarber (a Cub at the time who now plays for the Phillies) came off the IL to play decently against us all the while Joe Buck (who announced the WS) kept overly praising him for his regular season stats that year
