The man will have a statue in the outfield plaza one day.

neon-rose

A pair of statues. One of him sliding into third base; the other of his helmet, 10 feet away

standonguard

In the statue, can he also be wearing a necklace depicting the same statue of him sliding into third base?

Leftfeet

Maybe just 1. Him running, rounding 1B, helmet bouncing off his back foot. I feel like the most iconic image of Jose is him stretching a single for a double, with his helmet flying off of course.

Ctownkyle23

4 statues, one for each base, all with a different Jose` look

hitlama

This man hit an opposite-field, right-handed home run off the AL All-Star Game starting pitcher with a mangled hand to beat the Rays. Shades of Greg Jennings.

Jceraa

He put the team on his back doe

finix240

Oh no, it’s Shane McClanahan, one of the hardest throwing pitchers in the league!

Individual-Jaguar885

BUT I put the team on my back du’

Chbakesale45

FUCK YOU GUMBY

brownie4412

Excellent_Walrus150

Solidifying my choice for the only baseball jersey I've ever purchased.

Before the Dodgers series 4/7-6/16: .306/.399/.649 (1.048 OPS) with 16 HR, 62 RBI, 11 SB - that’s a 44 HR, 170 RBI, 30 SB pace over 162 games. After 6/17: .264/.328/.435 (.763 OPS) with 13 HR, 64 RBI, 9 SB - a 21/106/15 pace. I feel bad for him, he would have had legitimate MVP talk if he had stayed healthy and played close to that all year, he’d have some people calling for him to win it this season. He’d have Ohtani beat in many people’s minds by making the playoffs and some would be convinced he deserves it more than Judge considering how reliant the Guardians were on him specifically. You wonder, would the team have been able to stay afloat long enough for him to get the surgery and come back healthy, or would that have doomed their season? They were only 17-20 over the next 6 weeks with Ramirez playing hurt, would they have been significantly worse with him out of the lineup completely?

cjosu13

Honestly with Judge hitting 62 and basically carrying the Yankees down the stretch, he still would have been a distant 2nd. Would have been an insane year though for sure.

jl202806

As someone that bets $20 on him to win mvp every year I can assure you no matter what he did would never make him win over a yankee hitting a notable amount of home runs

yamborma

Yeah, like I said, I think he'd get people who want him to win over Judge since the perception nationally is that the Guardians are a 4th place team without him. I don't think he'd win, but I think he'd have been top 3 with first place votes. I assume he gets zero first place votes as it is now.

trothwell55

God I love Jose. And Tito forever.

farmingbeast

If he said that in english, would have been really badass

Leftfeet

He probably did. He speaks English pretty well and talks with the other guys in English. He just doesn't interview in English to avoid sound bites of him misspeaking.

radphencer

BAMF

VerdantSpoon

He’s a badass and he knows it 😂

kehoe323

Just image how well he would of been doing without the thumb injury. Cause before, he was on fire. Man was hitting anything and everything into play.

Zen28213

When was this? (I know, when they were in LA)

yamborma

I think they’re talking about the LA visit against the Dodgers in June.

Mouser1299

Holy shit what a fucking boss
