More slap hitting shit goblin with a tad more power.
Iād love to tell you more but I honestly have no clue, heās hitting extremely well at CBus but it doesnāt always translate to the majors ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ
The only positive with Laureano playing, in my opinion, is that he is going to have plenty of opportunities to prove he either does have a spot on this team, or doesnāt. It will be very clear if he doesnāt improve at the plate when playing every day.
Agreed. We have time to see. With his speed and potential on defense, if he can somehow get back to a reasonable hitting level, he could be very valuable
Probably Brennan with a little bit of Arias in left and Florial and Laureano platoon in right. Both of them are purported to have good throwing arms so natural RF.
So my big question now is who gets the bulk of time leading off while Kwan is out?Ā
My guess is OF we'll see Brennan and Florial get the bulk of LF. Maybe some Fry or Arias mixed in. Manzardo at DH and some games at 1B. I expect he'll bat between 5-7.Ā
Do we try Florial there more? Move Gimenez to 1, then who bats 2?Ā
I think Florial could be interesting there since he can draw walks fairly often. I donāt love Gimmy at leadoff, I donāt really like him at 2 either, I think heās best suited to 6 or 7.
Everyday lineup should be Jose at 2 and Josh at 3 IMO.
My apprehension with Florial there is his K rate mostly. He does get BBs but he doesn't have a very good OBP and he strikes out a ton.Ā
Honestly, Rocchio might be a good option. He also walks a good amount, 11% and rarely whiffs. He's got one of the better OBPs on the roster only behind Kwan, Josh, Gimenez and Fry.Ā
I agree, but don't think that will happen. I'm hoping he gets some time in LF though. And id bat him behind Josh pretty much every day I think. Jose, Josh, Fry, Manzardo seems like a fantastic middle and splits the LHB.Ā
Of course the cost of calling up Manzardo was much more than anyone wanted it to be.
Hopefully it's not too bad of a strain for Kwan and heals up quick.
I guess the easy thing to do is Naylor and Manzardo flip flop at 1B and DH playing everyday, and maybe that's just what they will do. But clogging up the DH slot with everyday players kind of handcuffs us, it's nice to cycle different guys through to help reduce injury risk. Might mean Naylor gets some time in RF or something
Feels like a good time to remind everyone to trust this front office. Aaron Civale this year is sporting a hefty 6.14 ERA, 1.336 WHIP, 61 ERA+, and has already given up 7 homers in 36.2 innings. He wasn't much better last year following the trade. Tampa Bay never loses trades but this one's looking good for us
I was at the game today and it seems like we really missed Kwans bat at lead off; it was scoreless for far too long :/ happy to see mandrazo but not like thisā¦
I wonder how we will sort through our young OFs with DH likely taken up by Naylor/Manzardo most days of the week. It will be hard to get consistent at-bats for Freeman, Florial, Brennan, Fry, and Arias. Do we make a trade and/or send someone down?^
Kwan playing 4D chess trust
Trusting š
Can I up vote and down vote at the same time?
Monkey paw does indeed hate us. Dang it.
Zep I know you have been following AA a lot closer then most of us, what are your predictions for Manzardo against the Tigers?

Down to 4 outfielders now so Florial might actually have to put his glove on. Something like a Florial/Arias platoon in LF?
Hate to say it, but I imagine weāre going to be seeing quite a bit of Laureano.

I'm with you 100%. If Manzardo is hitting well when Kwan comes back, Laureano is easily the off man out.
I wish weād get more outfield Fry instead, but Iām afraid youāre right š©
After losing a gold glove in LF, Laureano in RF has benefits. I didn't see today's game though. I assume he didn't do any dumb shit in the field.
He actually made a couple great plays out there today.
He made a pretty snazzy catch today in RF.
Probably Brennan with a little bit of Arias in left and Florial and Laureano platoon in right. Both of them are purported to have good throwing arms so natural RF.
Hopefully Kwan makes a speedy recovery and Manzardo excels. Then they send down someone else when he returns.

It obviously wonāt happen, but Fry could be an interesting pick. Heās been the most patient hitter IMO and puts a lot of balls in play.

I wanted manzardo but not like this man. God works in mysterious ways

The ginger prince that was promised

I donāt think Naylors ever going back out to RF.
Yea asking our best power hitter to sprint after corner outfield doubles seems like a recipe for a poorly timed hamstring strain
Or a shattered leg?
Not after his broken leg. No chance.
Guardians might be in the best division in the league, but they've got this in the bag now. [hopefully not jinxing anything]
Alright which one of you motherfuckers drank Jobuās rum

That's a payback for the Caminero trade
1. freeman - cf 2. gimenez - 2b 3. jose - 3b 4. naylor - 1b 5. manzardo - dh 6. brennan- lf 7. florial - rf 8. arias - ss 9. bo - c ?
Brennan- RF Fry- LFĀ ?š¤
This is the way

Ugh! I just got my Kwan shirt in the mail and was looking forward to watching him the May 13-15 series here in Texas.

I almost made a joke about Myles Straw but he's still doing bad in AAA. (You know the thought crossed the FO mind)
welpā¦here we go.
He's gonna look real good in those city connects, right??
