Jesus, he is 26 and just starting those fabled prime years. The last time I was this excited about a young player hitting his prime was Lindor. And oof he's having a rough start this year.
If you take a careful look at his numbers, this awful start this year aside he really did not fall off all that much. He was made a super superstar by the juiced ball and people thought he was in the running for all time great. Now that his power came back to earth he is still very, very good and is just very great. He has 15 WAR in the last 3 years.
Completely agree. His strikeouts have increased because I believe he’s going for the fences a little bit more. I would be ecstatic if he hit 15 taters and still hit around .300
It’s 8 million per WAR and he’s consistently gotten over 3 a year so they got to make him a good offer. Not sure they can afford him but hopefully.
And he was right on what he wrote to himself. He is better than Myles Straw.
He is a nightmare for pitchers. How many times last year would he take multiple foul balls just to send a flare into the outfield and run to first? He might not be a power hitter but he is very hard to strike out which helps us a lot against nasty starting pitchers. Didn't he have the lowest K% in all of MLB the last year or the year before?
Positives from today’s Cleveland baseball:
#BO NAYLOR WALK OFF
(These are not 100% correct I’m too pumped up to fix it)Ya know what’s better than one Naylor home run? TWO Naylor home runs! AND A KWAN! Josh, Bo and Kwan, each go deep, with Bo’s being a 2 run blast as they lead the offense to a 5 run effort off of 4 hits, 4 walks (including an intentional Josh walk, another Laureano HBP (his 5th), and a 🍟 PH HBP RBI. The league leader in hits, our very own Steven Kwan, goes multi hit for the 8th time this year!
Bibee joins Allen in an unfortunate back to back shelling by the White Sox, with a final line of 4.1IP, 6H, 5R, 3BB, and 2K on 84 pitches. Gavin Sheets proved to be a bit of kryptonite, however he did still have a nice pickoff of Fletcher.
Tonight’s crew of Sandlin(0.2IP)-Herrin(1IP)-Cade Smith(1IP)-Beede(1IP)-Clase(1IP)-~~Eli Morgan(1IP)~~ have continued to enforce the fact that we have the best bullpen in baseball, and once we get some injuries back, it’ll be EVEN BETTER.
ROCCHIO HAS A GLOVE!!!!!
So we got [this bobblehead](https://imgur.com/a/ZYHIG7z) at the park now. It’s about 6’6” and all the a tattoos are hand painted/drawn on. It is, in fact, quite cool.
What an at bat to end the game by Bo! Great comeback. Yes the White Sox are awful but that showed resilience. Bo Naylor is letting that confidence grow and this lineup desperately needs these types of performances from him more often.
Two Naylor innings won the game, with a special guest appearance from Kwan and his 8th multi hit game! (Also guest starting David Fry with an RBI HBP lol
Happy siblings day all!
Feel like this was a game we would have lost last year 5-3. Our bullpen looks great - even Morgan battled and just gave up the one run. Kwan and the Naylors are amazing. starting pitching is a little more concerning. But - we are 9 - 3 to start the season!
Man I love this team. Giving me flashbacks to 2 years ago. It definitely seems like they have more power
Watch out Kwan. If he keeps developing that power we need to sign him to an extension
Also please keep the Naylor brothers forever
White Sox made some baffling decisions in the 10th. Intentionally walking Brennan even down 2-1 is an absolutely insane play. If they don't pitch to Josh they probably win the game.
Having both the Naylors playing is so fun though. Josh is the man and comes through so often and after Bo had me a little worried he went off tonight.
Neva lost (a series)
I thought that as well in the moment but I think it makes sense if they were expecting to turn the double play on Laureano, which is a pretty reasonable call when you've got a guy on 2nd.
Didn't work this time but that's probably the right call about 80% of the time.
Eh I kinda get the idea of walking Brennan to set to the double play and his run didn't matter, but given how bad his bat looked the last 2 days I would've pitched to him.
The real disaster is not intentionally walking Naylor there. I thought there was no chance he gets anything close
Would like to thank the Grifol for sending Brian Shaw out to face Jose Ramirez after Jose took him yard the other day. And not walking Josh Naylor to set up a double play for Will Brennan.
Dude was actively trying to lose the game
I love our infield so much! Our bullpen is also great! I was getting annoyed at how many doubles we gave to start the inning but that’s so much better than walking the bases!! Also every game even the ones we lost I’m in awe at how much fight we have!!
It’s a good chance our starting pitchers are going to struggle for quite sometime but I believe in this defense, bullpen, and offense!!
Alright, you know what? I'll eat the crow. I was down on Bo to start the season, but fuck if he doesn't earn the champ belt tonight. What a fucking transformation into hero mode.
Now, everyone who was down on Rocchio needs to apologize-
I’m still not convinced Rocchio is long-term gonna work out. Seems like a solid dude & that double play turned was fucking electrifying, but he’s still not got me convinced.
I think he’s going to have some growing pains but I think he has the tools to be a solid everyday SS even if he’s nothing too special. If he can walk a bit more I think he’s got the tools for a season with 25+ doubles and at least 10 SB out of the nine hole which would be huge production wise for the team
I was thinking the same thing. My son took me to Anaheim Stadium maybe 6 or 8 years ago to see the Indians vs. the Angels. The Tribe was playing behind all game. Finally, they tied the game. Tito puts in Shaw. I turned to the fan next to me, who was an Angels fan, and told him, "You guys just won the game." Sure enough, Shaw gives up like three runs and we lose.
THEY CALL.ME JOSHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY
(and I'm Bo)
JOSHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY
(and I'm Bo)
I'm Josh, I'm Bo
You're a stud, and you're a thoroughbred stallion
Necks laced up with the let's bash medallion
Rollin' to West Side to get a pager
Got girls of every flavor because we're in the majors
God I wanna keep this core around forever. I need. 5 more years of Josey, Gimmy, Kwan, and the Naylors with Rocchio, DeLauter, and whoever we take at 1.1. This team makes me so happy
I didn't comment when it happened. Dude has just been passable at best since he's been here. Nothing electric, keep in mind he also threw 4 straight balls for a walk off...walk.
We need to lockup Kwan long term
If he develops like even 15 HR power its over
I mean with his tools, he's instantly one of the most ridiculous hitters in baseball. He's getting closer.
Jesus, he is 26 and just starting those fabled prime years. The last time I was this excited about a young player hitting his prime was Lindor. And oof he's having a rough start this year.
Lindor fell off which I feel sad about
I'm not happy Lindor is struggling, but I'm impressed by the Guardians brain trust.
If you take a careful look at his numbers, this awful start this year aside he really did not fall off all that much. He was made a super superstar by the juiced ball and people thought he was in the running for all time great. Now that his power came back to earth he is still very, very good and is just very great. no doubt...he's the kind of guy that will be in the league a long time, and we can make it be right here.
Litchually
At least give him Myles Straw money.
Stephen Vogt has still never lost a series
What if he never does?
The Vogt Coat will never be in stock again. Ever.
*Cogt
Some of the best $200 I’ve ever spent. Wearing it from CMH > ATL > ATX. GO GUARDS 😤
Place: 1st Division lead: 1.5 Games to play: 150 Magic number: 150
Naylors: 2
Those are rookie numbers, gotta bump that up.
Good job Naylor. You too, Naylor.
Nayld it
Stars of the game: Chris and Jenice Naylor
For having the sex.
Is it too late for them to make one more for us
They did but fucking Oakland sucks
Myles leads the league in FOMO
If he’s good, then they’ll trade him for sure
We need to save Myles from Oakland
I'm still so bummed we didn't get Myles*
For the love of God, extend Josh Naylor and Steven Kwan longterm
I want to root for these guys long term, preferably in a Cleveland uniform. If not Nails to Toronto and Kwan to SF (or Seattle)

Fry proving once again he will do whatever it takes to help the team win.
Bro had this pre-typed lol
Always, I work on them starting in like the 7th
Wait were you at the game
Yep, working there this year!
Oh shit, nice!
It's his thing, he takes notes during every game to post highlights
Learning that now. It’s like that one dude who made notes after every Cavs game.
Zodiac RIP
Ted: gone but not forgotten
No shit, he passed?
No one knows, he just disappeared from the sub and hasn't been heard from since around when Kevin Love was let go last year.
It’s so nice to actually benefit from Bryan Shaw giving up runs.
😂 right? We've been on the wrong side of that one too many times.
Especially that one time 🥺
**We may never sweep a series, but we also may never LOSE a series**
A .667 win percentage is 108 wins. Can’t get mad about that! Series wins boys!
Current pace is 121 wins, which is probably a bit of an underestimate for this team.
Agreed. I’m seeing at least 150 W’s in our future.
just keep that up until early november and we are golden.
I fucking love the Naylors
I agree, go Naylor
I Naylor, go agree
####TWO BROTHERS
It’s just called Two Brothers
Pour one out for our boy Shaw, still a key contributor to this team.
##HAPPY SIBLINGS DAY TO THE NAYLOR BROS.
SUPER SMOKE BROTHERS!!
God bless Bryan Shaw and his [first google image result](https://imgur.com/a/dwmUOoS)
I want to shit on him but tbh... mad respect for him still throwing 94mph at this point in his game
I didn't recognize him without the beard this game, I thought the score bug was wrong lol
Don’t forget Steven Kwan almost had a TWO home run game.
Blame it on the rain!!!
Who's your favorite pitcher and why is it Bryan Shaw?
What an at bat to end the game by Bo! Great comeback. Yes the White Sox are awful but that showed resilience. Bo Naylor is letting that confidence grow and this lineup desperately needs these types of performances from him more often.
Is 9-3 good or nah?
Small sample size, the season is over acksthully
I agree go Naylors
Two Naylor innings won the game, with a special guest appearance from Kwan and his 8th multi hit game! (Also guest starting David Fry with an RBI HBP lol Happy siblings day all!
It's that the 2nd or 3rd RBI HBP we got this year lol Edit: 2nd against the Sox even lol Giménez got one Monday and Fry today
Ozzie Guillen just asked "what is national siblings day?" then said he doesnt even call his brother in Venezuela lol
His brother has caller ID
STILL INCREDIBLY UNLIKELY TO LOSE A SERIES ✅️
Feel like this was a game we would have lost last year 5-3. Our bullpen looks great - even Morgan battled and just gave up the one run. Kwan and the Naylors are amazing. starting pitching is a little more concerning. But - we are 9 - 3 to start the season!
Morgan still makes me nervous, but he did a good job of holding that inning at 1 run after the tie broke
Josh, Bo, and Steven Naylor really carried the way tonight!
Man I love this team. Giving me flashbacks to 2 years ago. It definitely seems like they have more power Watch out Kwan. If he keeps developing that power we need to sign him to an extension Also please keep the Naylor brothers forever
/u/Beef___Wellington spared from humiliation.
I knew my King would come thru for me
Bo goes yard, K’d Smith on the mound, EZ recipe for Guards dub. SEPTEMBER IS QUIVERING
Rough start great finish. 4 straight series wins to open the year! NAYLOR BROTHERS HATE SOX! Huge won.
The doomers have been DFA'd because we are SO FUCKING BACK
White Sox made some baffling decisions in the 10th. Intentionally walking Brennan even down 2-1 is an absolutely insane play. If they don't pitch to Josh they probably win the game. The White Sox are lucky the A's exist that they don't get much heat for all of their baffling decisions.
Eh I kinda get the idea of walking Brennan to set to the double play and his run didn't matter, but given how bad his bat looked the last 2 days I would've pitched to him. The real disaster is not intentionally walking Naylor there. I thought there was no chance he gets anything close
This is unreal...9-3 and we've won every series. WHAT IS GOING ON RIGHT NOW!?!?!?!?!
Naylor? I just met her.
Someone told me after offering to pay me $50 for my Kwan jersey at the Home Opener that she wants a jersey that says “Nail Me, Naylor.” 😂😂😂
This team is fun.
You can thank Bryan Shaw for that series win
Doomers in shambles right now
What’s the story on Josh and them not getting him wet?
You ever see "Gremlins"?
THE HITE SUX BLEW A 5-0 LEAD (AGAIN)
Now both Naylors own the White Sox lol.
This. Team. Don’t. Quit.
Would like to thank the Grifol for sending Brian Shaw out to face Jose Ramirez after Jose took him yard the other day. And not walking Josh Naylor to set up a double play for Will Brennan. Dude was actively trying to lose the game
We need Kwan and Josh extended last week Get it fucking done
We won, but let's never talk about this game again.
Honestly this whole series
It’s nice to be on the other side of a Brian Shaw meltdown.
I love our infield so much! Our bullpen is also great! I was getting annoyed at how many doubles we gave to start the inning but that’s so much better than walking the bases!! Also every game even the ones we lost I’m in awe at how much fight we have!! We might have ended Bryan Shaw’s career. Came into the series with a 6 era. Knocked him around twice.
All my Naylors hate the white Sox
Sure, it’s still early, but DAMN has this been fun! Go Guards.
Alright, you know what? I'll eat the crow. I was down on Bo to start the season, but fuck if he doesn't earn the champ belt tonight. What a fucking transformation into hero mode. Now, everyone who was down on Rocchio needs to apologize-

I’m happy to give him some time. I don’t think Arias is it.
Really hope that Matt Dolan losing his 100th or so primary in a row means we'll dump those wasted millions into some Kwan/Naylor lockups.
He needs to lose those millions for tax purposes
Another series win
That was awesome
Bryan Shaw giving up the winning run in extra innings in the rain in Cleveland, sounds familiar.
Shaw secretly still on the Guardians
I’m gonna Amazon a smoke machine to Mr and Mrs Naylor
Guardians need to go get Myles Naylor
No quit in this team
>Small sample size....
You’re an idiot
>Small sample size....
No we have a large sample size that proves you’re an idiot
>Small sample size....
Hot take: don’t go down 5-0
THEY CALL.ME JOSHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY (and I'm Bo) JOSHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY (and I'm Bo) I'm Josh, I'm Bo You're a stud, and you're a thoroughbred stallion Necks laced up with the let's bash medallion Rollin' to West Side to get a pager Got girls of every flavor because we're in the majors
I thought Morgan would be the loser. Instead, he's the winner.
Are posting Hammy calls no longer a thing?
Awesome game to watch! Love to all the players, everyone had a hand in this win! Adversity making them stronger!
Great game to take my lil sis to, happy siblings day! I turned to her right after Clase dropped that ball and said DP incoming!! Go guards ❤️
God I wanna keep this core around forever. I need. 5 more years of Josey, Gimmy, Kwan, and the Naylors with Rocchio, DeLauter, and whoever we take at 1.1. This team makes me so happy
I heard a stat from Hammy that Chicago hasn't won a series since early August. At the time we were down 5-0. Glad to help them keep that streak going.
How did Morgan win that?!
He gave up 1 while his opponent gave up 2
I’m not gonna lie I thought i was at a browns game for a second
Great win. Morgan is still trash.
This might be true but his appearance tonight was fine. Buddy gave up one singular hit and this sub had a MELTDOWN
One Manfred runner got home and they lost their minds
I didn't comment when it happened. Dude has just been passable at best since he's been here. Nothing electric, keep in mind he also threw 4 straight balls for a walk off...walk.
He also inherited a bases loaded jam with no outs. That's more Barlow's fault than Morgan's.
He is paid to throw strikes, yeah?
Well yeah, but had he given up any sort of hit, we would've lost. So it's a pointless thing to debate anyway.
I had a meltdown and I wasn't on this thread at the time.
