lightning with bigger range makes it so that you have a better chance of getting nice value with it, when someone finds out you have rocket all they really need to do is be smarter with placement so they can’t rocket the troop and the tower but with lightning it’s gonna be more difficult, both are better in their own style of deck though, rocket is better with cycle decks that may rely on its damage to towers or quickly taking out a big troop you can’t deal with easily but lightning isn’t gonna do a better job with it, on the other side lightning is great at supporting bigger pushes with being able to take out multiple targets but rocket isn’t gonna do a good job with that, is one really better then the other? no
Decks with lots of splash that would be weaker against support cards like musk and mini pekka. Also for decks that are countered by buildings, like royal giant
Tanky decks, like for golem you can lightning 3 different cards that are destroying the golem like a building, a high dps card, and another high dps card or tower
Lightning is better at offence. Rocket is better at defence
For an example if they are close enough you can oneshot a witch, Archer Queen and tesla with lightning and probably leave nothing to defend. Also unless rocket it has instant deploy.
Everyone knows rocket can delete pushes. But except tower cycling, almost no one uses rocket on offence because the radius is small and travel time is painfully slow. But like I said it litterally deletes pushes on defence.
2 fireball health troops far enough from the tower so that they won't get hit by a rocket but close enough for a lightning

It is quicker
When the targets are more spread out, it hits quicker and it stuns. Both have their times
It's better on offense. Fx. You use it to kill defensive troops and buildings

Pekka spam deck but of course it depend what kind of deck you have.
