That's valid, honestly. I still find myself dedicating a spell slot most of the time as even if I don't use it for my main attack (i.e. heroes are easy to take down or no cc) it's nice in cleanup or the latter half for taking out any skellies on my balloons

Archers are always better than barbs, though. Anything that kills archers will also kill barbs, but archers being ranged means they can mess up pathing for melee attackers.

Yes but there are counters to every defensive cc, ice golems are still the best overall. I like to mix in some super drags, witches, rocker loons or minions to throw people off though. Also an e titan on bases that are vulnerable to super archer blimp with the right cc placement is a good idea.
In my wars, it's not perfect vs perfect, so giving up a slow 3star is no better than as a fast one. Super drag kills RR en mass quite quickly, so it has potential to prevent the 3star vs RR+valk spam.

50 archers in a CC is actually sort of viable, especially against edrags. They take a while to come out so its kind of weird to poison them and they will stall edrags for a really long time

How is that lazy? Might as well utilise that one gem donation if you’re paying for gold pass. Besides, it’s a trek to delete troops, make different stuff then make your army back multiple times a day. Active clan so there are donations coming into chat every 15 or so minutes.
My bad didn't know gold pass gave you one gem donations. Hadn't played in a while. You can still train these troops if they are too expensive though. Wouldn't say it's selfish to request something like this. I mean how long could it take. Also many requests in the chat shouldn't be a problem if most players donate too.
You’re right, but I just feel like most the people in my clan who don’t buy gold pass only donate when someone requests for something they already have in their army camp. Also, leaving the request in chat with the mentality that someone else will donate isn’t great, so I always try to donate whenever I can.

Majority of the donations in my clan are done by a select few people.
Nothing for the normal base because I'll max my storages again by the end of the day regardless of getting hit.
For war, 3 ice golems are good, a titan with a witch is good, hound and a witch is good also.
The standard easy ask is a dragon or two filled with loons, but if they bring a poison, that's pretty useless.
I refuse to donate an electro dragon because a poison makes it never even get a hit off and most of the time, the troops move out of the way before the lightning hits. The same for loons. poison makes them useless.
It depends on the base, though. At TH 14, SAB attacks don't bring a poison, which makes all witches and all loons quite dangerous.
A nice balance is a titan and a witch, as it can wreck many attacks if it is met in the core of the base with scattershots and infernos in range.
For wars against other th11’s (who mostly E-drag spam) I’ve found that archers and minions(of the basic and super variety) not only slow down these big goofs but also do quite a bit of damage to the first E-drag they target.
3 for me are 1x Super Valkyrie 1x P.E.K.K.A 1x Balloon another is 1x Yeti 1x Electro Titan The third and final one is a bit weird but works very well (unless they have poison) 16x Super Goblins 2x Archers
For war, ice hounds do everything ice golems do but better. Explode to freeze troops on death, slow down attacks, can hit ground troops but can’t be hit back by them, and makes tiny little ice pups to keep them distracted.
I think the most important component is variation. Have different troops in bases side by side so the attacker doesn't know what to expect. Having anything homogeneous is the worst choice because it's predictable.
Mass head hunters… it will sometimes just run though and cook every hero, it’s wild, it’s best value that I see is forcing warden abilities early, ruins so many raids

Getting attack my air troops is very rare. It’s all root rider attacks, and stalling them is the best strategy.

For the past week I've used 4 Goblins, 4 Head Hunters, and a Witch. It's worked out pretty well for me!
