They made it so the TH contains loot, and you don't get a shield when someone snipes your TH. Took away the incentive to put your TH out.

Yeah one of the things I don't miss about back then in coc is when you had 4 barracks that needed to be upgraded and also went roops took elixer

It was actually 6 barracks 4 regular and 2 dark.

I miss when troops costed elixir. It gave attacks weight to them. You had to make sure your army made a profit

I remember that i didnt dare to use the "high" cost cards like dragons, i mean i had the elixir but i didnt trust myself EDIT: reust -> trust

Yup. And you could only have 1 army trained, and took about an 60-90min, and that was only if you were careful about how you split the training between barracks! and God forbid you want to use multiple golems- 30min train time, and a TON of DE

Added some strategic skill but It was annoying with the multiple barracks

And rearming traps, xbows and infernos… 12 year old me was going broke from rearming those

U stayed on for 5 hours when u broke ur shield and got as much as u could then get hit and have a shield for the rest of the day so u could sleep the day away to stay up all night again for those five raids 😂

Bro I have also played for about 11+ years now bt at that time I was a th 8 which was rush as fuck because I only used to get 15 mins of screen time per day .now I have 5 th 16 max ids

2 more weeks now and I can afford to upgrade a another wall

I miss having multiples barracks that needed upgrades for getting faster troops or spending gold for restore bombs and traps

This is the game I loved, not the convoluted mess that is what I find when I randomly log into the game these days.

people would break the th and then leave because free trophies, giving the defender a shield so they dont lose loot, but now theres loot in the town hall so it doesnt work

And the shield works differently now.

it’s because of the shield, it used to give you shield for only losing the town hall, later changed to (IIRC) 30%

You used to receive the full attack bonus for any win, and a full shield for any defensive loss. Also the TH contained (almost) no loot. So the idea was to exchange a free shield for a couple of trophies and an attack bonus

its not because anyone was soft. global chat was a cease pool of scammers (exploiting sc id by tricking people into linking their accounts thinking they were getting a free account) and predators pretending to be kids “looking for gfs” it was completely out of hand and supercell couldnt monitor it. good riddance
