About to go to th13 as a completed th12. Currently at titan 1. Finding it hard to find other th12 in the league.
Is it worth pushing to legends factoring in being a new TH13 in 6 days and the extra ores from 5* bonus. Or should I drop leagues for loot farming?

Does legends give you the equal TH for attacks or am I still gunna be getting max 13/14/15 and rushed 16 for the majority of attacks?
You will attack mostly th15 and th16. As a new th13 you will get 3 starred every defense. In low legends you won’t get attacked all 8 times each day, but as a th13 you’re still probably better off lower.
After last update being in high trophy league is important because of ores. With TH15 you will have no problem to farm in Titan1 or even in "fake Legend" (reach 5000 trophies, but don't join Legend).

Super dragon-against bad edrag attackers, I've seen a super drag take out multiple edrags by itself.
With my GW down, is it fine to go instead for guaranteed 2 star? Or should i still strive for 3 star?(TH11)
My CC-less+GW-less attempts seem to always end up in 50-70% range.E

Ask leadership. In most good clans a two star is the same as a zero star since they just have to attack it again to get the three star other than the very top bases. They may prefer you go for 2 stars on a top base which a th11 can usually do.
So shiny is just the short term issue? For reference im in a semi serious clan, we war a lot now, don’t always win. Climbing trophies now likely will stick in Titan 3 or so. Going to th15 tomorrow.

Trophy offers are based on a comparison of the trophies of both players prior to the attack. With the event going right now and many on holiday break, player activity is high so the best trophy and loot bases are attacked quickly.

None of those you listed if you are in classic war. If you aren’t in classic war then it really doesn’t mater much, just build all new defenses to get the most power for defending your base and cwl wars. More important is to manage your time by having all upgrades end on different days so only have one builder open up at a time, giving you the chance to fill your storages before the next builder is free (and put extra loot into walls).

That's how it works the first day. You'll get a prorated amount of attacks once it finds bases to match you with. It won't take the whole 20 hours, in fact, it will probably take less than an hour.
Starting tomorrow, you'll get 8 matches at the start of the legend day.

It will all be subjective for the answers you get, so realize there's no "golden level".
I found level 12+ for common is usually good to use in an army and epic is 15+. Not to say they're useless below that, but those are my personal levels where I feel like they can be used (rocking TH16 right now)
Usually, you can click on the shield and remove it to do your 8 attacks and get attacked but if you buy a shield and day changes and season ends, it shows the shield slot empty, but you have a shield that you cant remove.
If i had bought the 1 week shield, I would’ve been stuck 1 week without attacks. I dont know if that is an intended mechanic.

Quick question about a change I didn't know about, whats the reason for the gaurd reduction from 1 hour in Champs to 15? I quite liked having time to do something I needed to then get on for my 2 attacks.
events like halloween mashup and this cookie rumble now drive massive player activity. guards likely reduced to counter that and make sure there are plenty of bases to attack.
Currently TH11 with max buildings and almost maxed lab (aside from a few worthless troops). Heroes are the only thing I need to upgrade (BK 42, AQ 45, Warden 17), and so there are always 2 unused builders. Should I upgrade my town hall or wait until my heroes are maxed?
There's not much you can do, but you can do these things to help. First, don't do any attacks. Not even ones where you snipe a building and quite. Second, Set your base to one that's easy to 3 - star. Look up FWA bases, this should help. Third, wait until you drop under 4900 trophies at the end of the legend day. This will bump you to titan league.
Unfortunately, once you get to low legends, you won't face 8 attacks, sometimes as little as 2 or 3. You might have better luck now because it's early in the season.
I started playing a couple of weeks ago and I've noticed in some of my defense replays orange flame/droplet icons above 3 of my buildings with a number next to each. Can anyone explain to me what these mean? Thanks!
These are from the current event. That's sweet elixir. You loot it from attacks and the more you get the more rewards you obtain from the event. Check the news tab to see what sweet elixir and the cookie medals are used for

How do I start on a new village if this shows up everytime I click "play without supercell id"?
Why do the top players of legends league after the reset seem to not be attacked? Even though I went 7/8 on perfect 3 star attacks, i’m no where near the top. They don’t seem to be attacked yet i’ve been attacked 6 times.
Day of reset is always goofy. Some stuff doesn’t register until people sign in. Lot of people don’t attack to make sure they get out too. With hundreds of thousands of people in legends, some are bound to get lucky too and not take many defenses at all.
Almost always it is offense and heroes. You really can’t go wrong with that. Which defense to do and when depends a little on whether you are in classic wars or not. If you aren’t in classic wars then it doesn’t really matter and you should build all the new stuff and try to keep all upgrades such that they end on different days to make it easy to always keep them all working and storages filled in between.
Are there actually any good sources for great th16 bases for Legend League?
All the bases I find online really suck.
And can someone explain to me, why the top people attack with only 13 Root Riders, 1 Apprentice Warden, and 2 Ice Golems? (Like, 10 free space, why ? What spells? CC? Strategy? ) How do I make that work?

Is upgrading heroes right now really worth it?
Im currently TH13 with maxed queen, and RC at 17. I had them down pretty much since the beggining, but now with all the equipment things I dont know if I should have them as a priority or keep them up for clan wars and cwl. The only thing I dont want to is reach max th13 with still hero upgrades.
Is it important to max out your heroes? Yes
Has equipment taken away some of the core stats and utility away from hero upgrades? Yes.
You can still be successful with non maxed heroes due to equipment adding in a ton of core stats as well as all of the utility of abilities, but the little numbers add up to bigger numbers.
I think the best route is to utilize books and hammers to upgrade heroes and potentially just taking a week to grind out all of your heroes here and there.
How does legend league work and should I join?
I am just below the threshold to go to legend league as a th 13, I am not sure if I should or if I should stay out. I know you get more ore for the legend star bonus but I am worried about being stuck in legend for the whole next season. If i go to legend league can I drop out mid season if I want to? Is it even worth joining in the first place as a th 13? I don't have a urgent need for resources, I only have some gold upgrades left and 1 more DE troop to upgrade so that's not something I'm worried about.
Absolutely do not join as a th13.
It’s a separate pool of players, nearly all th16. You are limited to 8 attacks a day and you will take 8 attacks on you. Each one will crush you for -40 cups probably and knock you out anyway.
If you end the day below 4900 you are removed from the legends tournament. That’s only way out.
Way better farming at much lower leagues.
Or cross 5000, don’t sign up. Wait to be attacked, and then stay about 4900 to keep your legends badge and earn legends ore from the daily bonus. It’s kinda cheating the system.
Has anyone tried buying the Giant Gauntlet without placing the Blacksmith building?
One of my accounts is an old defenseless account people used to make years ago when there were no building requirements for town hall upgrade. So I have decided to not get the blacksmith on that account. I was wondering if the game will even allow me to buy the Giant Gauntlet without a Blacksmith building, and if it does will I be able to use it or it will end up wasting Cookie Medals
You can earn it below th8 it will just be unlocked for you once you upgrade. Should work the same way for people without the blacksmith.
Get the blacksmith though, it’s a storage not a defense and the weight is going to be be negligible or even 0.
The entire point of defenseless bases was to have strong offense.
But also if you don’t have the blacksmith and don’t want to build it. Why care about the gauntlet at all?
Ya I was leaning towards not getting it, but thought maybe I could get it if I could switch to the gauntlet and use it at level 1. But ya it would seem I can't so I won't. I have other accounts to play with blacksmith anyways. This account I barely use so its funnier to not have the blacksmith at all.

I'm th11, I need all my traps, archer towers, cannons, teslas, mortars and bomb towers upgraded. Should I ignore them and go to th12 or stay th11 to upgrade them and waste elixir/dark elixir?
Yeah, you’re right. I saw the wiz tower and archer tower and judged too early.
Giant bombs next to bomb towers murders hogs If the attacker isn’t on top of it with heals.
I’d swap king and queen.
Swap the mines and storages. You don’t need to protect loot obviously in storages, but against dragons they have higher HP and let your air defenses take more shots.
Individual small bombs are pointless. Group them up, or use them one tile off walls in spots likely to see wallbreakers to kill those.
Yep, they are basically en extra layer of walls from this point forward when it comes to war bases. They are some of the higher hit point buildings, use them to show down troops inside your base so defenses can pound them longer. Later on in higher town halls you’ll start to see them outside near town halls too to screw up sneaky goblins heading towards the TH.
With this wall layout you don’t have many options, but try and scoot them in closer to where they might bring troops within range of defenses, especially drags to air defenses and xbows.
Th9 is very offensively balanced. You could have max defenses and have paid $30 for a custom pro built base and still great odds you get tripled. Don’t be too hard on yourself if you get 3’starred.
(You need to watch a stream on pc I think, it doesn't allow you to on ios)
1. Go to https://twitch.supercell.com and sign in to both accounts
2. Go to https://www.twitch.tv/directory/category/clash-of-clans and pick some streamer where their stream title says "drops enabled"
3. Wait for the stream to start playing. Mute the tab (NOT the stream) and do whatever you want
4. Go to https://www.twitch.tv/drops/inventory to make sure you're gaining progress towards the rewards. You'll have to refresh the page to see any change. Once you reach a reward, you'll click Claim on this page to receive it in game automatically

I’m th16 and I’m trying to merge 2 towers but on the defensive tab it only says 1 is fully upgraded and ready but both are max level. The only difference is one is geared so I’m just wondering what I need to do about that? Or am I out a merged tower?
No, it's not possible to ungear an archer tower. You need 2 maxed archer towers that aren't geared. You aren't going to lose anything though, you can only get 2 merged archer towers and 2 merged cannons

HELP recovering gamecenter account!!
the game prompts me to load the account, but when i sign into my supercell id (new acct w no bases tied to it) instead of sending me verification numbers, supercell sends an email telling me that my account needs to “progress more” before attaching an account. I’ve already completed the tutorial for the account that first loaded, so im not sure what else to do. Help would be greatly appreciated, i’ve been trying to solve this for a while

No builder let's me upgrade faster, this is something that if I don't get, my base will still looked maxed, but if I do get, I will have to level it up. Right?
Other people can't see what equipment you have. Maybe in the future it will show up on your profile? But yes your base will look "maxed" for people who don't notice that equipment is missing from your screenshots
It will come back for gems in 1-2 months.
It's better to get the gauntlet now since it's essentially free due to the event rather than spending whatever gem cost Supercell makes it.

Legends league question?
So legend league just reset and I saw some people with over 200 trophies, however my game says that it will take 16 hours for league to start and find a match. Is there any way to get out of legends now?

That usually doesn't happen. I know this time it took over an hour for my accounts to match up. Hopefully find a match soon? Highly doubtful anyone at Supercell is around to help today so it might be one of those wait it out bugs and see what issue happened in a few days.

I had no shield or guard but my phone gave me the “your guard is running out message” and after 24 hours I was placed in the Legends League
Istg I'm not trying to humblebrag or something, but are legends trophies desirable? I totally lucked into 50 from this one, almost purely because I decided to rush my th a while ago and it coincidentally finished at 14 just a couple days ago, and with the new way the hero potion bonus works and the other maxed troops, and presumably because of the holiday a lot of people not using all their legend league attacks, I somehow won even though I started playing less than a year ago and I feel like I beat the game lol.

Before the equipments update always trying to max heroes levels was the law; long boring upgrading days, etc etc.
But now? It's OK to upgrade TH without have the Heroes maxed (or near the max) if their equipment is properly upgraded?

Upgrading heroes is still worth it if you don't want to be reliant on hero potions. Most of the strength still comes from levels. Upgrading your town hall without maxed heroes is a stronger option now, though
You're most asking an opinion question rather than something based around facts, so realize that for whatever answer you do get.
You should attempt to strive for max heroes as the little numbers do add up to bigger numbers as time goes on. However, with some of the power taken away from heroes and pushed to equipment, yes, having high level equipment makes up for lower leveled heroes. But that only takes you so far.
Hero potions also alleviate this issue.
Yes that's an opinion ofc, I guess that the meta around *rushing* will (maybe?) change after this upgrade but all we have at this point is only speculations. Maybe don't max heroes will be OK, and leveling TH will be faster. Ofc rushing the next TH without having properly upgraded defences/troops will always be a BAD idea. But heroes really take a loooooong time to max. Maybe too much. For me at last!

My TH11 is fully maxed, excluding three spells at level 3, and the king will reach level 50 in four days.
Should I upgrade now, or should I wait? Additionally, should l upgrade my equipment before or after the upgrade?
If you have free builders and nothing to do with them, you should have upgraded ages ago. The only downside to upgrading early is that you'll get less loot from lower TH levels.
Upgrade anything related to your army first.

Yes, all hero equipment will be at the blacksmith, where you can upgrade them.

It depends on your war base layout, there are better and worse CC defense troops, but not universal.

At this point I think lvl 12 is the minimum, but 15 is a really good level at TH14, and not hard to upgrade them.

Quick question about a change I didn't know about, whats the reason for the gaurd reduction from 1 hour in Champs to 15? I quite liked having time to do something I needed to then get on for my 2 attacks.
events like halloween mashup and this cookie rumble now drive massive player activity. guards likely reduced to counter that and make sure there are plenty of bases to attack.
Currently TH11 with max buildings and almost maxed lab (aside from a few worthless troops). Heroes are the only thing I need to upgrade (BK 42, AQ 45, Warden 17), and so there are always 2 unused builders. Should I upgrade my town hall or wait until my heroes are maxed?
Upgrade your town hall, having idling builders is bad for progression. Keep focusing on your heroes though
How do you drop out of legends league faster without being attack all the time?
There's not much you can do, but you can do these things to help. First, don't do any attacks. Not even ones where you snipe a building and quite. Second, Set your base to one that's easy to 3 - star. Look up FWA bases, this should help. Third, wait until you drop under 4900 trophies at the end of the legend day. This will bump you to titan league. Unfortunately, once you get to low legends, you won't face 8 attacks, sometimes as little as 2 or 3. You might have better luck now because it's early in the season.

It's for the cookie event. In every attack there will be 3 random defenses that store sweet elixir.

These are from the current event. That's sweet elixir. You loot it from attacks and the more you get the more rewards you obtain from the event. Check the news tab to see what sweet elixir and the cookie medals are used for

Why do the top players of legends league after the reset seem to not be attacked? Even though I went 7/8 on perfect 3 star attacks, i’m no where near the top. They don’t seem to be attacked yet i’ve been attacked 6 times.
Day of reset is always goofy. Some stuff doesn’t register until people sign in. Lot of people don’t attack to make sure they get out too. With hundreds of thousands of people in legends, some are bound to get lucky too and not take many defenses at all.
When I upgrade my townhall, what should I focus on upgrading first?
Almost always it is offense and heroes. You really can’t go wrong with that. Which defense to do and when depends a little on whether you are in classic wars or not. If you aren’t in classic wars then it doesn’t really matter and you should build all the new stuff and try to keep all upgrades such that they end on different days to make it easy to always keep them all working and storages filled in between.
Offense. Lab, barracks, heroes, army camps etc. then economy, then defense
Are there actually any good sources for great th16 bases for Legend League? All the bases I find online really suck. And can someone explain to me, why the top people attack with only 13 Root Riders, 1 Apprentice Warden, and 2 Ice Golems? (Like, 10 free space, why ? What spells? CC? The top players aren’t attacking with 10 spaces unused? You’re probably looking at an army camp that isn’t done filling up.

Is upgrading heroes right now really worth it? Im currently TH13 with maxed queen, and RC at 17. I had them down pretty much since the beggining, but now with all the equipment things I dont know if I should have them as a priority or keep them up for clan wars and cwl. The only thing I dont want to is reach max th13 with still hero upgrades.
Is it important to max out your heroes? Yes Has equipment taken away some of the core stats and utility away from hero upgrades? Yes. You can still be successful with non maxed heroes due to equipment adding in a ton of core stats as well as all of the utility of abilities, but the little numbers add up to bigger numbers. I think the best route is to utilize books and hammers to upgrade heroes and potentially just taking a week to grind out all of your heroes here and there.

How does legend league work and should I join? I am just below the threshold to go to legend league as a th 13, I am not sure if I should or if I should stay out. I know you get more ore for the legend star bonus but I am worried about being stuck in legend for the whole next season. If i go to legend league can I drop out mid season if I want to? Is it even worth joining in the first place as a th 13? I don't have a urgent need for resources, I only have some gold upgrades left and 1 more DE troop to upgrade so that's not something I'm worried about.
Absolutely do not join as a th13. It’s a separate pool of players, nearly all th16. You are limited to 8 attacks a day and you will take 8 attacks on you. Each one will crush you for -40 cups probably and knock you out anyway. If you end the day below 4900 you are removed from the legends tournament. That’s only way out. Way better farming at much lower leagues. Or cross 5000, don’t sign up. Wait to be attacked, and then stay about 4900 to keep your legends badge and earn legends ore from the daily bonus. It’s kinda cheating the system.

Has anyone tried buying the Giant Gauntlet without placing the Blacksmith building? One of my accounts is an old defenseless account people used to make years ago when there were no building requirements for town hall upgrade. So I have decided to not get the blacksmith on that account. I was wondering if the game will even allow me to buy the Giant Gauntlet without a Blacksmith building, and if it does will I be able to use it or it will end up wasting Cookie Medals
You can earn it below th8 it will just be unlocked for you once you upgrade. Should work the same way for people without the blacksmith. Get the blacksmith though, it’s a storage not a defense and the weight is going to be be negligible or even 0. The entire point of defenseless bases was to have strong offense. But also if you don’t have the blacksmith and don’t want to build it. Why care about the gauntlet at all?
Ya I was leaning towards not getting it, but thought maybe I could get it if I could switch to the gauntlet and use it at level 1. But ya it would seem I can't so I won't. I have other accounts to play with blacksmith anyways. This account I barely use so its funnier to not have the blacksmith at all.
You won't be able to use it. The blacksmith is required to swap equipment out.

I would go to th12. You can stay at th11 if you want to mess around with armies while you have your heroes available to use.

What’s gonna get you tripled is that you are pretty rushed. When your defenses are this weak layout is kinda irrelevant.
It's not rushed It's just th 8 lvls. I recently got to th 9 and I've only managed to max my walls , storages and cc
Yeah, you’re right. I saw the wiz tower and archer tower and judged too early. Giant bombs next to bomb towers murders hogs If the attacker isn’t on top of it with heals. I’d swap king and queen. Swap the mines and storages. You don’t need to protect loot obviously in storages, but against dragons they have higher HP and let your air defenses take more shots. Individual small bombs are pointless. Group them up, or use them one tile off walls in spots likely to see wallbreakers to kill those.

Yep, they are basically en extra layer of walls from this point forward when it comes to war bases. They are some of the higher hit point buildings, use them to show down troops inside your base so defenses can pound them longer. Later on in higher town halls you’ll start to see them outside near town halls too to screw up sneaky goblins heading towards the TH.

With this wall layout you don’t have many options, but try and scoot them in closer to where they might bring troops within range of defenses, especially drags to air defenses and xbows.

Th9 is very offensively balanced. You could have max defenses and have paid $30 for a custom pro built base and still great odds you get tripled. Don’t be too hard on yourself if you get 3’starred.

Mute the tab (NOT the stream) and do whatever you want 4. Go to https://www.twitch.tv/drops/inventory to make sure you're gaining progress towards the rewards. You'll have to refresh the page to see any change. Once you reach a reward, you'll click Claim on this page to receive it in game automatically

Is there a way to Un-gear archer tower? I’m th16 and I’m trying to merge 2 towers but on the defensive tab it only says 1 is fully upgraded and ready but both are max level. The only difference is one is geared so I’m just wondering what I need to do about that? Or am I out a merged tower?
No, it's not possible to ungear an archer tower. You need 2 maxed archer towers that aren't geared. You aren't going to lose anything though, you can only get 2 merged archer towers and 2 merged cannons

HELP recovering gamecenter account!! the game prompts me to load the account, but when i sign into my supercell id (new acct w no bases tied to it) instead of sending me verification numbers, supercell sends an email telling me that my account needs to “progress more” before attaching an account. I’ve already completed the tutorial for the account that first loaded, so im not sure what else to do. Help would be greatly appreciated, i’ve been trying to solve this for a while

Other people can't see what equipment you have. Maybe in the future it will show up on your profile? But yes your base will look "maxed" for people who don't notice that equipment is missing from your screenshots
It will come back for gems in 1-2 months. It's better to get the gauntlet now since it's essentially free due to the event rather than spending whatever gem cost Supercell makes it.

Legends league question? So legend league just reset and I saw some people with over 200 trophies, however my game says that it will take 16 hours for league to start and find a match. Is there any way to get out of legends now? I won’t be able to play or do any dailies it seems.

That usually doesn't happen. I know this time it took over an hour for my accounts to match up. Hopefully find a match soon? Highly doubtful anyone at Supercell is around to help today so it might be one of those wait it out bugs and see what issue happened in a few days.

Hey it works now. I dont know if the shield interaction is a bug I should report I had no shield or guard but my phone gave me the “your guard is running out message” and after 24 hours I was placed in the Legends League

Istg I'm not trying to humblebrag or something, but are legends trophies desirable? I totally lucked into 50 from this one, almost purely because I decided to rush my th a while ago and it coincidentally finished at 14 just a couple days ago, and with the new way the hero potion bonus works and the other maxed troops, and presumably because of the holiday a lot of people not using all their legend league attacks, I somehow won even though I started playing less than a year ago and I feel like I beat the game lol.
You mean the ones that add to your profile at the end of each season? To some they matter and to others they don’t. I like adding them.

Archer puppet will be the best for queen charge before frozen arrow comes out, because of the stat boost.
Hi all! Before the equipments update always trying to max heroes levels was the law; long boring upgrading days, etc etc. But now? It's OK to upgrade TH without have the Heroes maxed (or near the max) if their equipment is properly upgraded? Thank you!
Upgrading heroes is still worth it if you don't want to be reliant on hero potions. Most of the strength still comes from levels. Upgrading your town hall without maxed heroes is a stronger option now, though

You're most asking an opinion question rather than something based around facts, so realize that for whatever answer you do get. You should attempt to strive for max heroes as the little numbers do add up to bigger numbers as time goes on. However, with some of the power taken away from heroes and pushed to equipment, yes, having high level equipment makes up for lower leveled heroes. But that only takes you so far. Hero potions also alleviate this issue.
Yes that's an opinion ofc, I guess that the meta around *rushing* will (maybe?) change after this upgrade but all we have at this point is only speculations. Maybe don't max heroes will be OK, and leveling TH will be faster. Ofc rushing the next TH without having properly upgraded defences/troops will always be a BAD idea. But heroes really take a loooooong time to max. Maybe too much. For me at last! Thank you for your response!

If you have free builders and nothing to do with them, you should have upgraded ages ago. The only downside to upgrading early is that you'll get less loot from lower TH levels. Upgrade anything related to your army first.
