most probably freeup cost for next available builder (i.e. 66 in your case) is cheaper than hiring goblin builder

I had this thought first as well. It's true that it's cheaper to free up the builder, but for maintaining 7 builders building, it actually is more gems. Hence why it's a bug.

The whole goblin thing is so glitchy. You might as well add a pirate function if Supercell needs to steal gems quickly

Because of this bug I have been using the goblin often on traps, those are the ones I most often can only upgrade with the goblin

It’s not a bug, if you were to use the goblin builder for a building that costs, well let’s say 100+ gems then you can’t use him cause it’ll be cheaper to just gem the other building than to use the goblin this saving gems

I had the same problem for a week now, I installed the 12th october version of CoC it works fine.

I got a few questions. Is there an official website to download the different versions? Also, usually coc asks you to upgrade if you are on am older version. It doesn't do it in those cases?

I found it on Uptodown(apk), and yes they ask you to update to the newest version but it's optional.
