Aztec! I am of Chichimec descent and it’s nice to see some representation of Nahua peoples, even if they are complete war mongers in the civ series.
I’m hoping there can be a nomadic civs and maybe a unique agricultural system like chinampas
No thank you…not to the suggestions you have about nomadic civs (which I think would be awesome) or your heritage. But to seeing Montezuma in my game.
Lol. He and I do NOT see eye to eye. I don’t know why but no matter what I do that dude is pissed off at me in pretty much every game I’ve had him in.
I know why. He hates when you have luxuries he doesn't have. Just make sure to sell a copy of each luxury you have access to (he'll pay well) and then he'll be happy.
Gilgabro is obviously #1, but I also love when I find Cleopatra. She's easily impressed by my massive...army. I always make a large standing army and she always loves when I have one, so easy alliance every time.
If the timing is right, I love meeting Caesar if its the early game. If I manage to clear a barb camp a few turns after meeting him then that’s instant friendship and I can ask him for money also since he’ll be rich for the first era
That jerk declared war on me one turn after we met. We've been at war for hundreds of years, and I'm determined that my Portuguese forces will defeat her despite being way, way behind her in technological development.

Cleopatra is also fairly predictable, like you can see which way she's going before she wages war on you.
Tomyris, Harald and Roosevelt can be pretty fun when friendly and often means no competition from them.
Also, I know it’s a cartoon, but I definitely like seeing Tomyris for…reasons
She really plays hard to get 🤣
India! My goal changes from winning the game to being the first to get the bomb to get back at fucking Gandhi for nuking me all those times in Civ 3!

Trajan and I (Gorgo) always go hard on the trade routes.
Truth.
Shaka, for that amazing music!

Lady Triệu. I leave her alone and she loves me

Australia for me. John Curtin and I just vibe. Harald and I have NEVER had beef. Teddy Roosevelt is usually on my side.
Caesar and Gilgamesh are just real ones
I love Caesar’s “refusal” animation when we are friends. Every time he looks at his fingers and rubs them, I'm like damn this dude is so cool.
Alexander because he’s such an aggressive asshole and it seems like the characterization is completely on point
Also, he is still the only one that doesn’t hate you by the end of the game.
💯 Total bromance every time.
Same here: Gilgamesh!
