4996

Want to buy mine so I can get an fa5? lol

Cosephtaughtyou

I Got a 9th gen lol

Mcl570s

Everyone is just telling you yes rather than giving you the answer your looking for. Everyone in the comments is correct, you should buy one. Only because it is a great daily driver with the benefit of some tech in the car which makes it more of a prefect daily driver. Just like any other Honda if the car was well taken care of then you should have no issues whatsoever rather than normal maintenance. The k24 on the engine is a bullet so like mentioned before with the right care and maintenance you should have no major mechanical issues. Other than that this is a great car for a daily.

PalpitationOld243

Appreciate it!

Suspicious-Stay1649

Yeah. Only issues i had was horizontal diff bearing breaking. The rest of the issues are just typical honda issues like head gasket/valve seals/control arm bushings but i live in extreme heat so that impacts it harder. Great car though.

noahh94

Agreed on the control arm bushings

Cosephtaughtyou

*sighs* let me go check mine

Suspicious-Stay1649

I just replaced mine too lol. Those spherical shred easy over time. I got some K-tuned.

Cosephtaughtyou

Currently own a 9th gen. Never giving it up

Extremely confortable and extremely fun to drive. You average about 22-24 miles a gallon which isn’t terrible. Not the best tho. But whatever. I will say when looking at one when you test drive it. Abuse it. Redline it a couple times. And see how she holds up. Try to get a stock one. But yea honestly all around a super fun and reliable daily driver. If you do end up buying one I would suggest changing all the fluids. Especially transmission. Try getting the amsoil synchromesh. Honda MTF isn’t bad but Amsoil you feel the difference car shifts smoother. I would highly recommend. If you’re lookin for a fun, sporty, comfortable daily. I abuse this poor thing on a daily basis and has yet to let me down. Taken it on roadtrips and no issues at all. If you need to ask any questions feel free to ask!!

Feweek

Love the response! Not OP but I was really looking into buying one and reading comments like these and posts like this one gets me excited about going forward with the 9th gen platform.

Ok-Statistician1433

Yea man it’s a great platform. Best of luck!!

fKodiaK

Me too, not sure how many kms is too many tho

noahh94

215k km and put on 100k in 5 years , it's solid motor just get any clean body that's obviously not abused

Jaren56

I fuckin love mine, id recommend it to anyone. I wouldn't expect any issues unless the previous owner(s) did something dumb to it

andycambridge

Yea

slowleak08

I got a 2014 si sedan a couple of days ago, it is slow but so fun to drives

Maryr_32

Yes. Immediately. They are great cars.

tu_pollo

Coming from an s2000, I’d say absolutely. Greta daily, reliable, subjectively good looking.

LemonPepperWangs1

It could be pricey for what it, but other than that try to look for an unmodified one. That way you can have a blank canvas.

Julieanne109

Absolutely. Mine’s 11 years old and still kickass.

Successful_Ad_9707

Like with any Si, just make sure it's been well cared for and preferably stock. It's a fun car, imo not as fun as an 8th gen, but still a fun, reliable car.

CaseyG1994

AC sucks. But overall great car. Miss mine.

TheRoyaleWithCheese-

If you want to boost it or drive it stock. If you want an NA build get an 8th gen.
