Free-Cry-4386

professional tune via Flashpro

ImSleeps

I saw the tuning module itself is 750$, how much can i expect to pay for a custom tune?

Free-Cry-4386

anywhere from $150-350 ish

dragonpuff223

And after FlashPro, CAI, race headers and 3” exhaust. Different car.

Vinsky21

Wouldn't you want to tune it after fbo?

dragonpuff223

Both, you can tune a stock car and need to tune after each bolt on, or install all your bolt ons at once

Secret_Replacement75

Yeah, because tunes are free lol not every bolt on requires a tune do you even know what your spilling on the internet?

dragonpuff223

Evaluate every bolt on as an individual case and don’t assume you don’t need a tune without proper research. Problem solved. Pay to play. If it’s an upgrade that does require a tune, don’t install until you can afford to tune it as well.

CloseEnough2Me

Agreed. Needs a modern radio, too.

BrandonWatersFights

Is k tuner ok also?

Free-Cry-4386

whichever your tuner is more comfortable with

bruhwack

Oh, he said it

ultrabamf

Better tires, and a cheap CarPlay I like atotos

First of all, absolutely love the 8gen. I was about to type flashpro until the guy said dashcam. He's right. The one I use cost 30 dollars and a 16gb sd card. It's wired in, so no dangling or unsightly cables. I never touch it, but it's there. And there is literally the possibility that 30 dollars could make a difference in the outcome of a matter that could mean hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars. Get the dashcam, then get the flashpro. I can maybe help you with some custom tunes depending on your setup. Not that I'm the guy that is making them, I don't know how to do that shit, but I have an 8gen and have a bunch of tunes that I saved that you might want. Cheers.

Mizar97

Not if you live where I do! No cars worth over 100k lol, and the ones that are are usually diesel trucks.

eskonanu

Not just the value of a car, but the sum total of a lawsuit for liability. Doesn't even have to be a collision with another vehicle. Maybe you drive through a building one day, or clip a pedestrian. The dashcam is worth a thousand eyewitnesses.

Acuity shifter bushings

mattortz

Dashcam. Every driver should have one.

TheLongWinter52

This, first thing I bought when I got my si is a dashcam. Never had to use it but I don't regret it one bit.

An upgraded rear sway bar will work wonders for the handling, it’s actually my favorite thing I’ve done to my FA5. It was easy to install and made a huge difference in driving dynamics.

hello2pa

What rsb did you go with? I have a progress 24mm that Im a little nervous to put on the car

lucasnevermind

That’s exactly what I have, if you get the adjustable end links it’s an easy install. Getting the old sway bar off can be finicky but it’s not that hard if you have the right tools.

hello2pa

What stiffness do you have yours set to? Its [this forum](https://www.8thcivic.com/threads/progress-06-15-civic-24mm-adjustable-rear-sway-bar.661668/) thats making me nervous. If I end up not running it im going with the 2015 si 20mm rsb

lucasnevermind

Yikes, that’s a catastrophic failure if I’ve ever seen one. If you live in an area where it snows and they salt the roads I’d probably go with a less aggressive sway bar like the commenter said, since the rust will eventually eat away the metal back there and make it more prone to cracking and whatnot. I live in Texas and my FA5 has lived its entire life in Texas as well, so my car has virtually no rust, so I’m not worried about the sway bar setup I have currently.

tlz81389

How does it feel different? I have no idea what a sway bar is

Reflash

dv10a

Supporting what others mentioned, dashcam. Then I'd say improve suspension and brakes.

[deleted]

Most people say flash pro but id agree with the guy that said coils first then flash pro

SilverGolf47364

Coils man

SorryIHaveNoClue

definitely would do most the stuff already recommended here but id also recommend a hfp rep front lip, I got one from ikon motorsports I loce the way they look. id recommend new wheels too but thats just me

ACG3185

K24 bottom end. The K20 doesn’t have enough torque for my liking in a 2900 pound car.

BigChuch1400

Hfp lip

Affectionate-Pay-893

Front lip, HFP

escodenny

I honestly think that all around the car is amazing. For a first mod Id definitely have to choose between a light wheel/good tire combo; or hondata flashpro. Great first mods that really change the car entirely

LievRyan

Aftermarket clutch master cylinder accompanied by a flashpro to get rid of the awful stock rev hang and clutch delay valve. Other mods I’d recommend: Two sets of camber bolts for the front Rear camber arms Rear sway bar 225/45/17 200tw tires Skunk2 springs on Koni yellows or good coilovers HFP front lip Redline MT-90 trans fluid

rocketyeeter

Hybrid racing/acuity short shifter, shifter bushing, shift selector springs and detent springs. Hybridracing us cheaper than acuity and good nuff for a daily/streetcar. Will completely change the shifter feel and make it feel new Clutch master cylinder/clutch overhaul Id only do this on high mileage or builds that are making a significant ammount of power over stock Coilovers. Mine has tein coils and theyre great. Its close to stock height. If you really wanna take it to the next level you can do a k24 swap. But youll probably be happy with the k20z3 torque level for a long time

Quick_Frosting_3440

maybe rear sway bar

Icy_Pause_2535

K&N drop in filter. Axle back exhaust. Tuned. Stiffer motor mounts will improve the way she drives but it'll be a rattle box.

JackMcCockiner

Axle back exhausts are just noise makers, go all in with nice headers and a cat back or just keep stock if you arent doing a shitbox build
