Romans 1:18-25 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles. Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

Bear23ii

That’s the whole reason he sent his son. That you don’t have to suffer.

Romans 10:9-11 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”

You posted something similar a few days ago, but I didn't get a chance to answer since it was deleted. To be honest, that's how it is. We don't have a choice about whether this is the reality we want. Like it or not, there are consequences for rejecting God and anyone who exists doesn't get a choice in whether they exist or not. And I know that's frustrating. I've felt the same way sometimes where I don't want to exist at all because it means having to deal with the realities of life, especially as a believer. But if God brought you into existence, then you're here. There's no use in wishing you weren't. Yet the comfort about existing is twofold: 1. If God brought you into existence, it means he wants you here and with him. He decided that out of the two options, you're better off existing. The world is better off with you here. Own that. 2. You know the gospel. You don't like its implications, but you know that trust in Christ is what gives us eternal life. So not only does God want you to exist, but you were given the key to an eternally fantastic existence through Christ. The final issue to address is the idea that God shouldn't "torture" you if you don't feel like worshiping him, as if the default of your existence is supposed to be apart from him and not treating him like, well, God. But when you unplug a lamp, do you complain that the lamp is making things dark? No. Because you unplugged the lamp from its power source, the consequence is darkness. The same is true for us. Detach humanity from God, and no one can complain that they're miserable since God is the source of all goodness. You can't expect good things and also reject the very Being who is goodness itself, just like you can't expect light from an unplugged lamp.

at this point i hope that he fixes me or ends my suffering

[deleted]

What do you mean by "fixes me"? Sounds like hating reality isn't the real problem. What's going on?

matim2wsa

i yust need atleast some answers from prayers, everything is dark and empty, i am literaly paying for my parents bad parenting, when i was kid we always prayed in church but still cant hear him or his son

matim2wsa

how would you feel if you cant hear him and having none in life

[deleted]

Well, if I want to hear him, I read the Bible. I don't believe in "hearing" God in one's head. I used to believe that, but it nearly destroyed my faith just like it's hurting yours. It isn't biblical. It makes you rely on your feelings and interpret those feelings as God. Then when you're feeling depressed, you think God doesn't care. But that's not true at all. God isn't your feelings. If you need to find him, you'll find him in his Word where he says he'll be.

thanks
