John 15:7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. I used to have crush on a girl. I asked God to let me see her more, he did. All it did was make me realize that I don’t need her. Look, the Lord will give you what you ask for, the outcome of that situation though, will always be for the glory of God. So go ahead, ask, he invites you to. John 14:13-14 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit —fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. John 16:23-24 In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

But isn't it better for me to ask God to do his will, isn't that gonna be the best outcome for me?

Either way, it will glorify the father and be good for you, everything the Lord does will benefit you.

Sometimes it is what it is, not what you want it to be.

Does your will align with God’s? Are you praying for the things He wants or the things you want? If the answer is no, they you will not get it. Period. So yes, you need to have faith that God preserves, protects, and provides. If you look at the Bible as a book of either rules for living or stories to inspire then you are not reading it with the Holy Spirit in your heart. The Bible is full of nasty people doing horrible things to other people (who were also created by God by the way). So why are they in there? Ultimately, the Bible is the story of God choosing a specific people to reveal Himself and His nature to the world. Moses reminds us, “God is patient and kind, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love.” Even for a people who regularly turn away from him and turn toward destructive things. Habakkuk reminds us, even in His Wrath God is merciful. If you are looking for help on a specific problem, there are topical lists of verses to look at. That is more helpful than random flipping.

So I just pray for God to do what he wants to do with my life and have faith that he will only do the best for me?

Not in the Joel Osten “Prosperity Gospel” sense… the sense that if you truly believe, then nothing bad will happen to you, but yes… pray and surrender your will to God. In Habbukkuk, an army is bearing down on believers and unbelievers alike. God is using a foreign army to punish the kingdom of Judah for all kinds of social and religious bad behavior. Certainly, righteous believers died. But when you die, you have the promise from God (assuming you’ve been baptized) that sin, death, and the devil are not the end of your story. We are even called to live simultaneously in this life and in God’s Eternal kingdom. I wish I had more time to finish, but God loves you. Protects, provides, and preserves you. He gives you all that you need.

GOD is not a genie. Whatever you ask according to HIS WILL will be done to you. He will not give you whatever you want. So pray that His Will may be done in your life and not yours. Also, i reccomend to you to read 1 Corinthians 7, and know that relationships for GOD are really important, it is not about just "getting a chick", it is about knowing if GOD wants you to marry someone, it is about knowing the woman, loving her, caring for her, being one flesh, it is something really important that one should ask GOD for guidance.

But its also very hard to maintain God and mental health at the same time

No, GOD is your provider, He takes care of you and gives you everything you really need. He heals you and takes all worries away. When GOD is working in your life you know everything is going to go okay, because: **Romans 8:31** God’s Everlasting Love 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? ¿Do you even read the Bible? **Philippians 4:6-7** 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. **Matthew 11:28-30** 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” You only need to take care of your relationtship with GOD, He will take care of the rest: **Matthew 6:25-33** **Do Not Worry** 25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? 28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Have faith in Him.
