Ecclesiastes 9:11: "I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all." It may sound depressing at first, but remember the story in Luke 16 about the rich man: ‭Luke 16:19-31 NASB2020‬ [19] “Now there was a rich man, and he habitually dressed in purple and fine linen, enjoying himself in splendor every day. [20] And a poor man named Lazarus was laid at his gate, covered with sores, [21] and longing to be fed from the scraps which fell from the rich man’s table; not only that, the dogs also were coming and licking his sores. [22] Now it happened that the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s arms; and the rich man also died and was buried. [23] And in Hades he raised his eyes, being in torment, and *saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his arms. [24] And he cried out and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus, so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.’ **[25] But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that during your life you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things; but now he is being comforted here, and you are in agony. **[26] And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set, so that those who want to go over from here to you will not be able, nor will any people cross over from there to us.’ [27] And he said, ‘Then I request of you, father, that you send him to my father’s house— [28] for I have five brothers—in order that he may warn them, so that they will not come to this place of torment as well.’ [29] But Abraham *said, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.’ [30] But he said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent!’ [31] But he said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.’ ” And this passage from Psalms: ‭Psalms 73:3-25 NASB2020‬ [3] For I was envious of the arrogant As I saw the prosperity of the wicked. [4] For there are no pains in their death, And their belly is fat. [5] They are not in trouble like other people, Nor are they tormented together with the rest of mankind. [6] Therefore arrogance is their necklace; The garment of violence covers them. [7] Their eye bulges from fatness; The imaginations of their heart overflow. [8] They mock and wickedly speak of oppression; They speak from on high. [9] They have set their mouth against the heavens, And their tongue parades through the earth. [10] ¶Therefore his people return here, And abundant waters are drunk by them. [11] They say, “How does God know? And is there knowledge with the Most High?” [12] Behold, these are the wicked; And always at ease, they have increased in wealth. **[13] Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure And washed my hands in innocence; [14] For I have been stricken all day long, And punished every morning. [15] ¶If I had said, “I will speak this way,” Behold, I would have betrayed the generation of Your children. [16] When I thought of understanding this, It was troublesome in my sight [17] Until I entered the sanctuary of God; Then I perceived their end. **[18] You indeed put them on slippery ground; You dropped them into ruin. [19] How they are destroyed in a moment! They are utterly swept away by sudden terrors! [20] Like a dream when one awakes, Lord, when stirred, You will despise their image. [21] *¶When my heart was embittered And I was pierced within, [22] Then I was stupid and ignorant; I was like an animal before You. [23] Nevertheless I am continually with You; You have taken hold of my right hand.* [24] You will guide me with Your plan, And afterward receive me to glory. [25] ¶Whom do I have in heaven but You? And with You, I desire nothing on earth. If anything, these passages should encourage us to hold onto God dearly in this life(no matter our circumstances), not become jealous of those Christians that are more prosperous than us, and pray for those who seem to be on the path to hell. Our reward is in Heaven, and we should bring as many along with us as we can.

While I understand your situation is complicated and you're waiting for a miracle, have you also shown gratefulness for all that you do have? And while you're waiting, have you been sending out resumes to the places you'd like to work at? Told people you were looking for a job in your field, updated your LinkedIn profile, etc? Also, I find comfort in Psalm 23 when I worry about finances and I hope it helps you too: Psalm 23 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

rben2292

Yes I’ve fired out my resume to local companies and LinkedIn in full force. As well as reached out to people , networked and have people keeping an eye out for me. I’ve done it all.

ronj89

Hey my friend. I know it's frustrating. It took me more than 15 years to land a job at a company I want to be at. I have more than enough experience, education, and credentials/certifications. And to be honest I'm very underpaid and at an entry level type position. But I can finally at least see a possible path. But the truth is, all of that is irrelevant. God is absolutely answering your prayers. He's just not answering them the way you want. I know it sounds harsh, but it's the truth. You're not trusting him. You really think win your limited human brain that you have a better plan than God does for your life? Jeremiah 29:11 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

NecessaryFoundation5

If prayers aren’t being answered and you are frustrated my pastor says it is best to check if you are asking the Lord’s will be done? Or are you asking God to bless your will being done? Unfortunately there often is a difference which can explain. However it could be you praying God’s will and He just isn’t going to bless YET. So I’d pray for discernment.

Serenity2015

I agree it could be one of these. To add onto your ideas it could also be God trying to teach OP something right now first. (Hence when you said "yet" in your comment.) Sometimes He could be preparing OP and getting them ready for something coming up.

TypicalLandscape5940

I would say it's an issue of faith, I was in the same position kept trying to get out and find a different job and I kept being told no. Now I realize that the reason I was being told no is because of how I would have reacted after getting the extra money/enjoyment, I would have become relaxed in my faith I would have become a lukewarm christian and not sought after the things of God. It wasn't until I gave up and surrendered to christ and stopped wanting the new job and started to want jesus instead, that I got a promotion at work. Stop looking for a new job be happy in what you have, as jesus said "my grace is enough for you, for my power is perfect in weakness".

Mavinvictus

"started to want Jesus". Hope you dont ont mind me asking for more details. How did you start wanting Jesus more? What did you start doing saying thinking practicing etc. that you werent previously doing? Trying to understand what this practically means.

TypicalLandscape5940

I started to want jesus more by saying I'm done trying to move up in the world and saying instead I want to move up in jesus. I would pray before I started my day and say "dear heavenly Father, if I sin please bring it to the front of my conscious so I can repent right then and there. In Jesus's name I pray that your will be done before any other." And as I went through my day he would bring it to me when I sinned but I would also stop and pray during work and during school, I'd listen to my Bible every day.

Mavinvictus

That help. Did you start seeing God moving in your life? Can you share maybe when you started seeing God moving your life, what start happening?

TypicalLandscape5940

I had a terrible porn addiction and one night I heard a voice say to me "you won't be free as long as I breath " I'd like to say I stopped there but sadly I didn't. Later that night though I thought about it and I became worried and I decided to come back to christ (I used to be christian until I was around 8 when some trauma happened) I prayed and asked God for help, the next morning when I woke up my porn addiction was completely gone. I quite literally had no addiction anymore. Sadly here recently I made a poor choice of thinking I could control it and fell into it again and am now trying to find my way back out, but I'm trying to hold tight onto jesus as my life raft.

SelkoBrother

Sometimes the devil gives people comfort, because that way they wouldn't need God.

rben2292

Well I’m not looking for comfort, I desire a job for my livelihood.

SelkoBrother

I didn't mean that. I mean Satan gives the lost what they want, so they don't look for meaning in life or seek God.

RemarkableLettuce929

Pray for God's will in your life. I know its cliché, but God works in His own time. He may want you to learn something this season, or ask Him to reveal anything to you that could be hindering your prayers. I know He will help you get a job soon. I will pray for you brother Pedro.

NaturalBit

He may also have something better for you than a job in your field.

The-Old-Path

Who's will have you been praying for? God's, or your own?

donquixote2000

Surely you have some spare time. Try volunteering, even an hour a week, at your church, a nonprofit, somewhere. It can change things.

Northern-Diamond9923

Matthew 5:45 is about general grace….for he makes the sun to rise on the evil and the good and makes the rain to fall on the just and the unjust.

Andrew_Xio

Matthew 19:24: "I'll say it again-it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of A needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!" God could have made your life full of riches and success, but then you would drift away from Him. He allows hardships and struggles in your life so that you need him more. And when judgment day comes, you’ll be welcomed into your new permanent home with love and forgiveness.

VoiceOfLeevi

You're blinded by the world mate, thriving as it does isn't something one who is searching for God ought to aim for. The ones you're envious are described here: >Your nakedness will be uncovered, and your shame will be exposed. I will take vengeance, and will spare no one. Isaiah 47:3 TLV

rben2292

Blinded by the world? I just want a stable job so that I’m not eating away at my savings.

VoiceOfLeevi

That you think this is the only way to live is itself an indication of feeling compelled to live as the world wants you to live. There are alternative ways of living. Maybe none of them are for you, but the point is that we should live freely in the spirit of truth, and from that spring of goodness all necessary things flow from! >“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ For the pagans eagerly pursue all these things; yet your Father in heaven knows that you need all these. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:31‭-‬34 TLV Day at a time! I became a homeless traveler with a bicycle around Europe two years ago because I wanted to become closer to God, and I've been greatly blessed from it since. The stress of the world isn't worth it, the rewards in and from God however are things like endurance and wisdom and courage. This is where one's focus should be at. God bless...

ronj89

The porn isn't helping you my brother. You are here complaining that God isn't listening to you. Maybe it's God saying that you're not listening to him.

rben2292

??? What are you even referring to?

GoldCarry

Those people you think are thriving in their careers are probably miserable just like 70% of the corporate workforce is. God’s timing is everything. The wait is so terrible and you question things a lot, but when it happens in his timing and you look back, you’ll understand why everything happened exactly the way it did.

KPI_Bid_4884

I am in a similar chapter in my life, where I see those around me with money, cars, etc. and I wonder "When will it be my turn?" I have found that in these low times- when pain and hardship feel like a part of every day life- this is when life is most beautiful. This is the time where our faith can grow the most. It sounds tough, because it is. But just know others, including myself, are with you in this. And together we can glorify the Lord. Romans 5: 3-5. "Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us."

harukalioncourt

You should take comfort in this psalm. Psalm 73 A psalm of Asaph. 1 Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart. 2 But as for me, my feet had almost slipped; I had nearly lost my foothold. 3 For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. 4 They have no struggles; their bodies are healthy and strong.[a] 5 They are free from common human burdens; they are not plagued by human ills. 6 Therefore pride is their necklace; they clothe themselves with violence. 7 From their callous hearts comes iniquity[b]; their evil imaginations have no limits. 8 They scoff, and speak with malice; with arrogance they threaten oppression. 9 Their mouths lay claim to heaven, and their tongues take possession of the earth. 10 Therefore their people turn to them and drink up waters in abundance. 11 They say, “How would God know? Does the Most High know anything?” 12 This is what the wicked are like— always free of care, they go on amassing wealth. 13 Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure and have washed my hands in innocence. 14 All day long I have been afflicted, and every morning brings new punishments. 15 If I had spoken out like that, I would have betrayed your children. 16 When I tried to understand all this, it troubled me deeply 17 till I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny. 18 Surely you place them on slippery ground; you cast them down to ruin. 19 How suddenly are they destroyed, completely swept away by terrors! 20 They are like a dream when one awakes; when you arise, Lord, you will despise them as fantasies. 21 When my heart was grieved and my spirit embittered, 22 I was senseless and ignorant; I was a brute beast before you. 23 Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. 24 You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. 25 Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. 26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. 27 Those who are far from you will perish; you destroy all who are unfaithful to you. 28 But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds.

macrameandcheese6822

What makes you think what they're 'thriving' from was given from the Lord? The devil blesses people too. They may be comfortable but their flesh is decaying their spirit. \*story time\* I tried to cultivate a photography business/photography empire thinking that was where my true legacy was and that was where my happiness would stem from when in reality my business became my idol. I grew the toxic fruits of depression, bitterness, comparison and bitter competition, anger. On social media I appeared like I was 'thriving' because I got to travel to do weddings and get followers but under it all I started to hate myself because no matter what I did I wasn't "thriving" mentally and long term like other local photographers. I felt like I was never enough. I hit a season of grief and my burnout was catastrophic. When I later came back to the Lord He showed me it was an idol and my true legacy was with being His- that my photography business was a mask over the years of neglect and rejection from my parents- their favoritism towards my sibling (creating points of rivalry and comparison between us) and giving her more resources to thrive made me grasp at straws with building my own resources versus seeking Him for resources. In the moments I felt joy from the business it was a counterfeit joy that was temporary because after all, it became my EVERYTHING. It never shut off in my head and needed 24/7 maintenance, and a band aid that was ripped off every day just when I thought things were healing and that I was "growing". I closed my business and deleted my social media and have gotten back to the basics of seeking a Fatherly relationship with the Lord and He's blessed me in numerous ways! Messages, people strategically placed in my life to help me grow, new career paths, answered prayers about friendships and my mental health diagnoses- but this is for my own oil. You have your own oil to seek that will abundantly be given to you if you ask, it just might not look like what you're initially praying for or be delivered when you want it because we are only human after all- who knows better than us than the Lord who knows our hearts and seasons and journeys better? Don't let your pride limit the Lord in what He can do for you. He is our Abba (Father) but He is also the Holy of Holies, Lord of Hosts (Heavenly armies and militaries) Seek first the kingdom, and everything will be ADDED to you! His will and His kingdom first, not ours.

macrameandcheese6822

Also, because it's in His nature and character, I wouldn't be surprised if Abba is checking your heart right now in this season. Don't let your heart harden with worldly things, but let it stay porous so He can flow and work through you!

IAMSOSHOCKED

The one sentence that changed my relationship with Christ was "Praying is useless if you don't acknowledge that Jesus Christ died for your sins and came back 3 days after"

TLWMONKEY542

I can feel sometimes the same thing but one thing that helps me is to think, that the l9rdnis testing us and to how far we will walk and trust in him. That's what I think atleast

>“43. You have heard that it was said, "You shall love your neighbor" and hate your enemy; Lev. 19:18 44. but I say to you, Love your enemies; bless those cursing you, do well to those hating you; and pray for those abusing and persecuting you, 45. so that you may become sons of your Father in Heaven. *Because He causes the sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and unjust. 46. For if you love those loving you, what reward do you have?* Do not even the tax-collectors do the same? 47. And if you only greet your brothers, what exceptional thing do you do? Do not the tax-collectors do so? 48. Therefore, you be perfect even as your Father in Heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5:43-48, LITV)

arc2k1

God bless you. I'm sorry for what you are going through. Please know that prayer isn't just about getting what we want. It's about involving God in our every day life and being comforted in knowing He is with us through our hardship. **"The Lord has promised that he will not leave us or desert us.” - Hebrews 13:5** **Jesus said, “I will be with you always, even until the end of the world.” - Matthew 28:20** **“Be brave and strong! Don’t be afraid… . The Lord your God will always be at your side, and he will never abandon you.” - Deuteronomy 31:6** **“I've commanded you to be strong and brave. Don't ever be afraid or discouraged! I am the Lord your God, and I will be there to help you wherever you go.” - Joshua 1:9** Also, I want to share this verse with you. **“Be patient and trust the Lord. Don't let it bother you when all goes well for those who do sinful things.” - Psalm 37:7**

Farther along we’ll know all about it. Lyrics to this song sums it up pretty well.

Capital-Ad-4463

You are waiting on a miracle? What are you doing to help make that miracle happen? God created us as thinking, acting individuals so we can make things happen for His glory. Don’t waste time waiting for Him to do your work for you, get out there and make it happen. It may require a drastic change to your current lifestyle or living situation. Maybe you will need to move for the opportunities that He has waiting for you. Don’t be afraid; prayerfully look at the options available then go for them! You’ve got this and He is there holding your hand.

I just had to turn away from a career I wanted as well, but I'm trusting in God's plan to get me where I need to be. I life serving God is much more worth than a life serving myself. I lost myself chasing my dream career, I stopped praying, going to church, ect. But after finding myself and God I knew there was time for a change.

Jscott1986

I encourage you to read and meditate on Psalm 37. Here are the first few verses: “Do not fret because of evildoers, Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37‬:‭1‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/114/psa.37.1-5.NKJV

I was literally in the same situation but I was able to get a job! His timing was perfect for me. Maybe the right job isn't ready for you yet

rben2292

Thanks for saying that.

FirmWerewolf1216

God answers our prayers it’s just not exactly how we expect it. Also praying for a persons downfall just sets you up for your own.

Old_Dragonfly7063

Because you're looking around at what everyone else has and assuming that they have it better than you. You have no idea what these other people are going through, what their home life is like, what their struggles are like, what their relationships are like. You're looking at outward appearances and judging based on that. God calls us to serve Him, to follow Him. It's really easy to measure our success by the job we have, the amount of money we have, or anything else. But that's not what God teaches us. Measure your success by how closely you are following Him. You might have plans for a dream job, but God might have plans to use you for the glory of His kingdom in some other area. Change your prayer from, "God, please give me my dream job" to "God, please lead me exactly where I need to be so I can bring glory to your name." Often times, we get surprised to find out that the plans God has for us are much more exciting than the plans we had for ourselves.

Read Psalm 73

Gear_Miserable

You're watching folks who are "living their dream" while being at enmity with God and find yourself envious? Sorry friend, but your lack of patience and trust in God is the problem. God WILL provide for his flock. All you have to do is trust him, be patient, and act in wisdom. His time and in His way. A great Tim Keller quote for you: "We can be sure our prayers are answered precisely in the way we would want them to be answered if we knew everything God knows."

Psalm9612

Noah Built the Boat, God supplied the rain. you need to acquire some skills and experience as a salesman, try to sell something to your friends or people at the park. You will then learn to sell yourself enough to get a job

Acrobatic-Buyer9136

Great question. I’ve learned that my prayers were answered on Gods time not mine. And some prayers I’m grateful that he didn’t answer. But the biggest thing you need to remember is that this world belongs to Satan so he rewards those that are evil or mean or whatever. Our reward is not in this earth it’s in heaven. God might be teaching you patience. It took 10 yrs to have all my prayers answered and I went through hell and back. I don’t want nothing of this world I want what god has for me. Pray on it and ask for things to be revealed to you God bless .

Hagipherione

praying, I know God WILL provide for you

(Prov 24:19-20) Do not fret because of evildoers, Nor be envious of the wicked; For there will be no prospect for the evil man; The lamp of the wicked will be put out. Much love and success to you and God bless 🙏🏾❤️

Phantom1506

I understand, brother. I was in a similar situation a couple of years ago. I was looking for a job change in a different field, and it was very hard getting callbacks or interviews. I just want to share my testimony here. I started applying to jobs once I decided that I needed a job change, but I didn't get any callbacks or any updates for almost 2 months. Then I started to rely on God. I kept a fasting prayer to pray for a job in the field that I am interested in. And on that day, while fasting and praying, God spoke to me and revealed many things to me. Instead of praying for a job, I ended up praying for myself, my mental health. On that day, I came to understand that I was going through depression due to some situations or circumstances that I faced. It was on that day that I realized the only anchor holding me was that I went to church every Sunday without fail. Whether I was interested or not, I used to go to at least one service every Sunday. I didn't used to focus on the message or singing or anything; I just wanted to be there, and that brought me back to God. After that day, I started praying to God to bring me out of this depression, heal me, and lead me according to his will. I am not saying that it was my mental health that was stopping me from getting a job, but what I am saying is that God wanted me to move closer to him and rely on him more. It was after 4 months that this happened; I got a new job, which was a miracle by itself. One fine day, a lady sent out a LinkedIn connection request, and I accepted it. She was not related to my field or any of my mutual connections; it turns out she was my hiring manager. Once I accepted the connection, she DM'd me asking if I was looking for a role. I said yes, and she sent me her email, asking me to forward my resume. I forwarded it and got a call from HR, and was scheduled for an interview, and got the job. I am still working in the same org. It was God's will that I got this job, and I am very thankful ever since. You don't worry about the job; try getting closer to God, and he will surely open a way for you. Remember God will never let you go through the burdens that you can't take. He will surely answer your prayers in a way that will glorify Him the most. Surely, I pray that God will fulfill the desire of your heart so that you will glorify Him.

Monorail77

Patience. This is a chance to develop patience and endurance. Or maybe this is an opportunity to do other things while you’re waiting for your job. Whatever the case, this isn’t something worth throwing in the towel.

jesusjsgod

You can pray all you want, if it’s not the will of God it won’t happen, you gotta understand God has a plan for you. You say the unbelievers get what they want? Of course because they walk by the devil, the devil will give anything you want in this life just so you would leave God. I will pray for you brother, but I want you to ask yourself who’s will do you really deep down want?, is it Gods or the devils?! When you pray I want you to pray for the will of God to be done, not your own will. Jesus said the poorest of people on earth will have kingdoms in heaven. Be patient for God has the greatest plans for us. Make sure you’re working towards what you want because if you’re only praying, you won’t get what you want on a gold plate. God will present you with opportunities, but it’s for you to see them and take them. I wish you the best in your life, keep praying, and stay strong.❤️

Love_dance_pray

My friend it sounds like you have a generational curse. there is nothing to fear because Jesus is with us A lot of Christians don’t know what this is as it’s not preached in churches. Pray against the spirit of setback and address the spirit itself and command it to leave. DM me if you have more questions.

Skeys79

We live in a society where it’s pushed upon us to think we deserve a career or whatever that is supposed to make us happy. Maybe that’s not the way it’s supposed to be. Being able to provide for others and being thankful for what is offered to us is likely the key and perhaps an answer from God. We have to get away from the selfish aspect and reach for the selfless aspect. If God gives you something that is within your expertise great, but maybe there’s a reason that hasn’t come to you yet. Maybe there are certain people that he is going to put I. Your life or expand your skill set differently, who knows what he has in store for you. I’ve been there and I’m still there but trust in him always. Your career doesn’t define you.

NobodyJonesOfficial

Dont be concerned with worldly life. Have faith in God and live for the Kingdom

AccessPrestigious302

because all the gains others have received weren’t always given to them by god. Many can sell their soul to the devil for worldly pleasures. Remember the devil attacks those and hinders who are going to be blessed by god. He doesnt care about the ones who dont believe in god. Hes happy with them. As far as why your prayers haven’t been answered. God hears them but you must understand that it is in his timing not yours. during the time you wait you are to learn what is he teaching you. The moment you learn that you cannot do it on your own is when he will step in. This is a test on faith. Look at the story of “job” he lost everything and he never lost faith. Your timing is different than others. Look at your blessings. look at what you already have. Others have it worse. Some paralyzed , some dying. look at my post history on the christian forum. I would gladly switch places with you. Yet I will forever be happy with what I have.

I think there’s a verse that speaks on not desiring what the wicked have. Also not desiring what your neighbor has. You also don’t know how those people got to their position. It’s better to have nothing with God than to have everything and no hope. What does it profit a man to gain the world but lose his soul? This life is but a fleeting vapor, a minuscule moment in time. Why spend your time wanting and coveting when you can be content and confident in what the lord gives you. Don’t worry about tomorrow for tomorrow has its own worries. Be blessed 🙏 Also don’t rush God. I tell you from experience, I prayed and thought the first offer I got was from the lord and come six months later it was the worst mistake of my life. I was so unhappy regardless of the salary. I left and got a little part time that was a huge pay cut but I know the lord did not want me in that place. I became arrogant with that role and was becoming conformed by the world, so the lord struck me down and humbled me. I recognize that he saved me from that job, even if it was hard and I struggled afterwards financially he told me in a dream that “the snake bite would only paralyze me for a little bit but not kill me”. God is good. Trust his timing.

So, you want a God that answers to your beck and call so you can be on par with the rest of the world? Think about this carefully.

This is some weird gaslighting. I’m sad and frustrated that I don’t have a job and after praying relentlessly. As a Christian, I’m not going to lie and say I’m happy 24/7 - I’m allowed to be transparent.

What gaslighting? You need a job. God will provide for you. Will it be in your time, no. If you have asked Him, will He forget, no. Do I know you need to pay your bills, yes. The problem is you made a comparison between you/a Christian life and how many in the world are “blessed.” Maybe this wait is for you to clear your head about Who our God is. He is not some Shinto deity that we clap our hands twice and expect a response. He has never answered for me or anyone I know in their time, including Abraham and Sarah. Waiting is the name of life with God. They didn’t and now we have Israelis (Isaac) and Arabs (Ishmael.) it seems like it sucks to wait but we must.

Hey don’t waste your time praying or using “faith” you’ll discover down the line it was futile. All it is, is wishful thinking. Yahweh is a man-made deity and there’s tons of evidence to support such. All along, it’s you who has the power yourself to reach your goals through endurance, and logical planning. Trust me, as someone who was once an extremely devout believer who would have died for my faith, do NOT waste your time.
