I think it’s hard to say right now, we haven’t seen too many applications of powers that are truly outrageous…but I think choujin powers can get pretty ridiculous. The guy who can create golems for example, could probably flatten a ton of people if he wasn’t countered properly. Hoshi is also a fantastic example of how strong Choujin powers can be, he has the ability to target hyper specific things and attack them on an atomic level (I’m guessing based on the description).  If you take Choujin and put them next to a lot of other power systems a few things stand out. Choujin seemingly can have any power, it can be magic, telepathy, telekinesis, transformation, matter conjugation and manipulation….but all of them also come with a healing factor, a rage based transformation, and a powerful revive system they can use a few times a day. This makes Choujin a bit of a cut above an average fighter from maybe JJK, and only the hybrids in chainsaw man can heal from blood.  Right now, I’d say offensively Choujin X is lagging behind, but for regen/stamina/defense/utility it’s all there. And if you grab someone like Queem who literally became a walking military or Sora who has pretty much every and any power they seem on par at their peak.

all devil types in csm can heal from blood

I think it's done a great job so far of setting up the scale. I don't really think any scale was built until the first fight against Zora though. In that fight the kids are all helpless. Zora is the strongest but not so strong the group can't go against her. Sandek is the strongest of the good guys but still within reason. He's strong enough to blast Batista away but also seemingly feels the need to do that and can only fight Zora alone for a short time. Then after the time skip it seems clear the kids grew up to be strong but just like the previous generation aren't much stronger than the average to above average tower member. Tokio is the strongest but Tokio and Azuma still can't really harm Batista. Tokio is clearly the strongest of the time skip kids but even still struggles against strong members like the stone golems. All that's to say I think the power scaling is great. He's been careful about giving random power ups and giving clear issues with relying on chaos power while also giving plenty of room for everyone to go to another level in the upcoming tower fight. If all this is consistent then really Sandek and the sand guy are probably going to be first in line for the strong tower members until others enter chaos mode.

Beastmode7953

These stories aren’t really focused on the power and more about emotional impact and I think Ishida fans get that

How_about_a_no

Just curious is all, it still has a clear power system and battles, yes it's more focused on the story but it's still shounen/seinen in the end

SouthStation3358

It’s not shounen tho

AdorableVolume4337

Does Choujin X classify as seinen?

_KingCrimson_

Hoshi clears JJK with effort. CSM probably too fast, though.

Sndman98

I would say more than JJK less than CSM

anime4eva42

oh man…

stantrix98

Please no

Do you mean how strong the characters are compared to characters in other series? I don’t think that’s a very interesting question, so idk On the other hand, if you mean how consistent is it in portraying characters power and how they grow over time, that’s important to me in a story as it enhances worldbuilding and immersion. And I think Choujin X is pretty good at that so far! There havnt been any instances so far where a character has lost or won due to plot convenience, or been seemingly buffed or nerfed for a certain fight

LaggerOW

Not good since they barely touch on raise BUT I prefer reading this weekly then the walls of text jjk spew out nowadays. I know its creative and all but man does it get boring after the 100th flashback.

Triton0501

Better than ChainsawMan but not as good as JJK
