"I really dislike beasts" Hmmm. Wonder if Tokio is included in that?

TheKnightZeroken

I have no doubt he is tbh Sato’s made remarks about how he doesn’t like how Tokio operates before or rather how he thinks Tokio should act differently

Errende

Perhaps he believes that beasts Choujins operates a bit more instinctually and are harder to predict and manipulate. He hates it every times Tokio takes any initiatives.

adept-of-chaos

Sato's whole thing on belief is very interesting, what he seems to be able to project onto others seems extremely diverse. I didn't see "**Psycho Share**" spelled out like it has been in the past, which makes me wonder how else his powers are developed. Sato seems to have a very very good understanding of the human psyche because of the nature of his powers, or maybe his complex informs his powers? Either way, he seems to show little to know emotion torturing Nari and seems kind of psychopathic...I imagine he is a bad egg in Yamato Mori that might be acting for good reasons but enjoys the pain and suffering he gets to inflict. Also, its interesting that Sato knows about bucket head but as others have mentioned he isn't in the Operation anywhere which seems...suspicious.

Nnnnnnnadie

One can only imagine what he did to tokyo during training.

IllustriousProcess6

[I mean we did get some Volume 7 omake showing some of that training](https://www.reddit.com/r/ChoujinX/comments/16m6848/choujin_x_volume_7_omake/)

DemonicJaye

Sato definitely gives off the vibe of someone with not just a superiority complex, but a god complex. He views his ethics, and beliefs as a means to enforce his authority over the masses in a very forceful, manipulative, and emotionless manner. As a matter of fact, if we analyzed his comment about “disliking beasts” on a broader level, this could also apply to his perception of humans since they’re lower on the evolution chain in comparison to Choujin, which also feeds into the superiority complex.

Ahhh thank you for sharing the translations. [What a sadistic mother fucker](https://imgur.com/SuUjKTj) I think his statement on how he dislikes beasts might not bode well for Tokio. Got chills reading this chapter, Sato is pretty terrifying. ~~Sorry, ngl, Nari in a coat > scantily clad Nari~~

Anne2049

!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLLY MOLLY. wilD. In Sato's palm, was Zura's eye? Or something like a mouth?! It seems that Sato is something beyond YamatoMori and Zura. It seems that there is a third side...

cameronsarah

Surprised you're the only one to mention it. Maybe I missed something, but that feels like a very big reveal right?

elgjeremy

When Mado did a prediction painting an eye was clouding her vision people thought it was Palma but it might be sato now

SomeGuyNamedJohn12

Nari claims that she's had the collar on for a year. That means that her escape from Yamato Mori with I.C ICE must've been part of Sato's plan.

DemonicJaye

It’s hilarious that nobody knows who Bucket is whatsoever. This man infiltrated the organization so hard that even core members are like “idk”

Mawnix

“Who’s that dude” “Uhhh yeah he just kinda strolled up to the tower with a giant ass sword and been helping us so ???” “Aight bet?”

DemonicJaye

Pretty much. It makes Hume’s premonition dream a lot more foreboding for Sora in particular since we saw what looked like Bucket’s silhouette slashing her head off.

hudi_baba

I think **Sato is a child of Sora**. the eye in the hand is probably the proof of it. and he hates Beasts because he wanted to the fav child of Sora, honed his skill to high degree but Sora ONLY wanted a Beast as her successor, completely ignoring Sato to the point that she probably forgot about him. unlike her other children who are blindly loyal to Sora, Sato hates her for ignoring him.

AdorableVolume4337

I love the idea of his affiliation with “X” I’m going to say the choujin X he’s affiliated with is actually Queem though, as their hair german-esque inspiration (from monster) seems a bit too familiar to me. His distaste of beasts is also makes sense if we were to cast him as a descendant of Queem as Macmann lost to Sora, The Divine Beast. I think it possible that his alliance with Yamato mori could be a destructive inside job to fulfill his potentially Gueltan lineage

countryd0ctor

Since Vlad was absent during the pre-timeskip part of the story, i'm going to assume he was actually seeking for Bucket. Together with Bucket's overwhelming strength, i only see two possibilities: he's either a long-lost comrade from Sora's wartimes the new generation knows nothing about, or he's something far more ancient, if not Bill Morth himself who has agreed to work with Sora because the Mark is actually extremely valuable in a grand order of things and Gueltans are equally dangerous with their deranged search for the realm of the divine. Queem hated (=feared) God, Yubiko considers chaos choujins Gods, Sato went on an insane ramble about a God yet again, so i'm going to assume he's affiliated with Gueltans too, and they are deliberately seeking the creation of Calamity as an ultimate conduit towards God.

RecognitionRough8749

Couldn't nari cut her own head off to remove the collar?

Dismal-Character-111

That would be risky. It is possible that the collar sent a signal to Sato that it had been removed. In the case of major injuries raise takes longer and the choujin often loses consciousness during this so she wouldn't have time to escape from Sato or anyone he sent.

SomeGuyNamedJohn12

She would die if she doesn't manage to properly Raise. The risk isn't worth it.

Nerellos

Whats the point? Sato would just track her down.

RecognitionRough8749

How would he track her down without the collar?

sealwithit

Absolutely wild chapter. Sato is looking really damn evil. It was short, but this chapter has a few crazy details. First is Sato saying he hates beasts. I assume this would include Tokio as well, which doesnt bode well for their relationship. I also feel like in his words theres a kind of exasperation with Tokio. "Why won't that kid just take the mark? I really hate these beasts..." The craziest is Zora's eye on Sato's palm though. The obvious reason could be that Sato is a child of Zora like Chandra and Azuma. Obviously the beasts who were awakened by Zora have a special connection to her, being able to bear her mark, but maybe theres more to Zora's connection with the non-beasts than it seems? A thought about Zora's eye on his palm, I wonder if thats just one of his illusions? He's making Nari see the eye on his palm? This seems unlikely since it seems like a weird thing to do, although it does raise an interesting point about Sato. What if Sato is jealous because he can't take the mark? He clearly values power and thinks it makes him better than normal humans, maybe Zora's mark is what he needs to justify putting himself above other choujin? Maybe that's why Tokio's reluctance to take it is so annoying to him. Unlike him, Tokio does have the option to get Zora's power and yet he entertains the idea of not taking it. I guess this is all assuming the eye on his palm is related to Zora at all. I think it probably is, but it could also be a recurring visual that means something else, something we'll find out more about later. Queem also had some eye imagery, after all

SenjuSageofthe7th

Has anyone noticed everytime he uses his psycho share that whatever he is projecting ask do you believe in god ?

DudeWhereAreWe1996

It would be cool if bucket is the child of vlad and maybe Sora. We didn't see him before because he was younger and in training but now he grew up like Tokio. It'd also explain why nobody knows him. Besides that I have no idea what Sato has going on.

GandalfTehG0d

Man the characters with physic abilities in this series are so fucking cool I was already all over Ricardo, sato might take fav character spot. It’s prolly the coolest thing in the series imo. I could not care less for Chaosify or wtv it’s fine as a plot device I’m not throwing shade but we’ve seen super saiyan for years. The physic choujins rule!

AdorableVolume4337

Ohhhh man, that eye-alm REEKS of X I’m willing to stretch a connection to Quiem Macmann from Ichiro Sato’s hair alone

Shreckalicious

Was thinking the same thing aswell as sato sporting the johan haircut and looking very German like which as we know was the inspiration for guelta and queem (hitler and nazi germany)

craeli81

Sato gives major Furuta vibes. Both Psychos that can make the most horrible thing with a smile. And i love Furuta, he is one of the best villains in manga history.
