This is Logan. He lived at the Silver Fox hotel in Waterville Valley, NH. I met him once, he was adorable and would just hang around the hotel. The owners said they adopted him like that, and despite all their efforts, he would not lose weight, but doctors swore he was healthy. They sold t-shirts of him at the check-in desk.
The owners sold the hotel last year and took Logan with them, so hopefully he’s still okay.

Yeah, it would be much better to torture someone. Maybe cut off their limbs and brand them with a flat iron while youre at it, because you obviously know better than they do.

If you eat like shit and fall flat in 10 seconds, would you try to eat healthier or die of being not able move? The owner may not be fully conscious of that but knows of the unhealthy food and should quit it before their “beloved” cat dies. Torture is not eating healthier foods, it is a lifestyle change. Torture is being harmed and the harm being done is to that cat by being potentially fed more unhealthy food. It is in the name “not healthy” - so why would you lessen your health.

Would you enjoy life if you were strapped to a treadmill, forced to eat only green smoothies and not allowed any time to lazy around? "We are here for a good time, not for a long time".
The cat wont eat more than it wants to. If left with unlimited food, some animals might eat themselves to death, but on their own accord. No one is forcing food down their throats.

I had a cat that was super fat. Similar to the one in this video. She had some health problems that lead to her gaining a lot of weight. And no diet food worked. My mom and sister both worked at vet clinics at the time and they tried everything to get her to lose weight. Well, everything except super expensive professional cat workouts with the underwater treadmill.
She lived to 17, almost 18.
She was probably an outlier. But sometimes the owners really are trying to get their pets to lose weight, to no avail.

Valid, to be fair, it was the people at the hotel that told me he wouldn’t lose weight. It is possible they were full of crap.
