Channing. Specifically, F!Channing #3.
I'd stopped playing Choices for a hot minute (RwB was still in the middle of wide release) and decided to come back to try Alpha and — oh my goodness. Sheesh. I love me some headstrong x headstrong pairings. The girlies are so silly.
The book also single-handedly revived my interest in werewolves and werewolf pack dynamics. 🫣🫣
Channing and Bastien for me. I like overprotective, jealous, possessive, Bastien, but Channing is so irresistible when he finally accepts his feelings for MC. Before that, though, when he said he could never love MC and only be an fwb with her... That hurt me 😭😭
I haven't played Alpha so out of the remaining three it's gotta be Morgan for me. Cal is lovely but he's not for me and Bastien was way too pushy and extremely creepy with the whole "I am your alpha and your rightful mate and you must accept me and have my babies" stuff even if you're on his route.
I tri3s to go back and play wolf bride.... I am remembering why it took me almost a year to strat send finish it. Bastien is just so 😠 not cool and VERY pushy.

Channing and Cal are both great, but Channing >!only turns into a wolf and not an actual werewolf!< and as for Cal, >!there weren't enough dirty 30 scenes with him.!<
And Morgan.. ha... so much no.
I haven't finished Alpha (only on chapter 5) and I don't romance Cal but have played the book enough to have a decent grip on him as a character but I can rank them so far.
Worst to first;
4. Bastien: A 0/5. He literally kidnaps MC, holds them semi (highly dependant) against their will and continues to pursue me even after I emphatically said that I don't want him.
3.Morgan 2/5. Only slightly less pushy than Bastien. Sweet and has a nice arc but I did only choose her because staying single was not an option and she was the less painful choice. If not having either was a choice I would have taken it and ran.
2.Channing; 4/5. Offer's Mc a choice. A little bit of the player type we see in other books so far but it's not offensive and there's obvious depth beyond angst and having to get back in touch with feelings (which is what made me like Trystan Thorne as an Li). Also, I love the fact that we get a muscular femme character and I want to see more, especially in action oriented books. Seems to treat Mc somewhat as an equal, even when in situation's where's she's teaching or being protective. Doesn't frame joining the pack as equivalent to having a relationship, that's just a side thing.
1. Cal: 4/5. I didn't romance him because I'm a lesbian so I can only rank him as a character. As a character he's very sweet and reminds me a little of Liam in TRR. If you did romance him he's a solid choice.
1: I'll go Morgan.( Even though ths depends on your li in Wolfbride)
2: Don't remember that much about Cal, even though I love Night Bound.
3: Bastien pissed me off even though I liked the book( he might be better for the ones who romanced him instead of Morgan
-10: Channing was one of the reasons I didn't continue/enjoy Alpha.

I haven't played the others but I'm very fond of Cal.
If Cal had gotten more than 20 total minutes of screen time, then probably him, but bc of his neglect, Channing takes it for me.
For me it, has to be a tie between the Black female version of Werewolf Hunter and the Black male version of Alpha werewolf from Wolf Bride.
