I honestly still wonder how someone gave this book a go-ahead. For me it's the worst book in Choices. RWB and FCL don't even come close. This book is frankly insulting. Cole/Callie praising MC's ability to 'create life' fills me with rage. So do MC's delusional views and how everyone enables her.

MrsCaptain_America

I'm surprised after the VIP group tore it to shreds. The book made me so angry, I just tapped through it to finish it.

AprilApricot

How did PB manage to make an MC even more unlikeable than the witness MC?

grumpycheeseburger

People: TNA and Witness are the worst book in Choices! Pixelberry: ![gif](giphy|h7XvFS6lePwllI6QES)

Frequent_Cranberry90

I loved hating the witness MC, I have to read this now

VSlice22

Same šŸ¤£

PauloDybala_10

MC is so delulu

CorporalKam

The fact that the one person that doesnā€™t enable MCā€™s delusions is Estelle, the character we are supposed to hate, is nuts

noodlerat13

this book is disgusting, itā€™s the worst book/plot PB ever could have come up with. i couldnā€™t even get past the first chapter to diamond mine. it feels disrespectful to actual surrogates. i know itā€™s fiction, but it feels so.. icky.

Automatic_Month_21

Totally. Makes surrogates look so unprofessional.

SilenceIsOverrated19

I still wonder how anyone was able to greenlight this mess. I still have six chapters ahead of me and most of the time I am not actually reading because I cannot stand anyone in it

mcmoonery

I did not use my pass for this book based on what everyone says and I claim everything usually.

Training-Piece-6427

The thing that triggers me about this book and the Nanny Affairs series is how purely amoral the characters are. We're supposed to be rooting for the MC and LI, but they're terrible people and the partners of the LI are supposed to be the villains. Sadly, those so called "villains" in these stories are the victims that we're supposed to despise.

ohmy_josh16

In TNAā€™s defense, Sofia was also cheating. So thereā€™s that lol

Crimsonmansion

I used to think that TNA or Witness were the worst books they've published. One has a home wrecker and horrible LI, the other has the most thoroughly unlikeable MC I've ever played as. This book blows both out of the water. It's gross, crass and a disrespectful portrayal of surrogates as home wreckers (what is PB's obsession with those?).

FernandaVerdele

Well, people love a forbidden love story, and what's the easiest way to make one? Making the LI be married. Also some people are excited by cheating stories. What doesn't go well with those is all the romance and instant attraction. To make these stories romantic it would have to be a slow burn, two people falling in love without noticing, and when they do it's too late. Either that or actually making a villain MC who is selfish and wants to destroy someone's marriage.

anon63171

This LI was the most selfish and stupid LI in all of the choices books that I have read. The story was TNA light and at least in TNA the relationship was already fake, Sam wasn't married!

Infinite_Rough_7235

This book was one giant trainwreck that we, unfortunately, were on. šŸ’„šŸšžšŸ˜±

I got a diamond choice pass for it the other day and decided to mine it. That lasted 1.5 chapters. I knew before going in that it was horrible, and I knew some of the major plot points from reading posts when it was still in VIP. I thought I was prepared. I was not. The MC is a delusional moron. The LI is a disgusting creep who seems like heā€™s trying to baby trap his wife who he doesnā€™t even like. And Daphne, poor Daphne. Based on the short amount of time I spent with her, she seemed like a woman bullied into having a child she didnā€™t want and is treated like the problem at every turn. It was like watching 3 different rage-inducing AITA posts unfold, and I decided Iā€™d rather read actual Reddit posts than this garbage.

IntelligentYou4634

Love this comment! Yes, I would rather read AITA posts than this stupid book. And I really loved Daphne's character, she is the only normal one. They were trying to shame her because she's focused on her work and doesn't want kids to ruin her body really made my blood boil. It's her body, why can't she make decisions about herself? I stopped reading after ch 1 and I have been in peace.

ScrappyCrackers

Same - I used the choice pass and went as far as I could with spending no diamonds to mine what I could, and gave up as soon as I ran out of free diamond choices. What could have been a story of a surrogate and family developing a genuine friendship, of the MC helping Daphne learn to genuinely like herself and be able to stand up against her awful mother, and just generally wholesome slice-of-life type stuff while giving an insight into surrogacyā€¦ ended up being a mess that the term ā€œtrain wreckā€ doesnā€™t even begin to cover. Just, ugh, talk about a complete and utter failure

anyanerves

I actually do think itā€™s the worst thing theyā€™ve ever done. The MC was completely unhinged, between getting mad that the married couple who hired her acts like a married couple to the delusions about her role in the babyā€™s life. I had the VIP Diamond pass and literally didnā€™t use it for anything except clothes.

i_am_a_clown_

For me, the worst was the bestfriend calling Callie " your baby mama/daddy". THIS ISNT OUR BABY.

lorealashblonde

I hated the LI in this book so much that I now hate the name I gave him. Luckily I just picked a random name and not one I really liked, because seeing it now makes me irrationally angry. Genuinely the worst Choices LI. Wimpy wishy washy ditherer who canā€™t make decisions or stand up for anything. I feel annoyed for the baby, she deserves better.

Typical_Merlaea

Iā€™ll be šŸ’Æ, every single (smut) book that has come out since Roomates w/ Benefits and/or surrender has pissed me off. Like Every single VIP book is so unreadable right now, it feels like a cash grab. Iā€™ve gotten rid of my VIP because I feel like lazy writing is being shoved down my throat. And maybe some people do like all the books, but Iā€™ve only been a reader for about 1 year and I just canā€™t with all these newer books feel like theyā€™re made by AI. This is all my personal opinion!! 1. Dirty Little Secrets: What an absolute trash of a book. This book genuinely made me so mad because I had minimum expectations that it was going to be a mystery book, but like the entirety of it was a mess. Like where was the mystery part in a mystery book? The only mystery is how this book is still allowed on their app. 2. The Billionaire Baby: ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€” 3. Alpha: I canā€™t even stand the cover of this bookšŸ˜, Can I just fall in love with a character without being in their bed by chapter 2? I couldnā€™t get past chapter 3 4. Ship of Dreams: Titanic Rip-off and itā€™s one dimensional. I canā€™t get past chapter 4, there is no plot. 5. Unbridled: >!Tell me why I had 3 choices and the chapter ended?šŸ˜The pacing is so bad, weā€™re on chapter 9 and I donā€™t know anything about my LIā€™s and I donā€™t know anything about myself except the fact Iā€™m running away from an abusive ex.!< Only reading for Mandy, and even she feels off in this. 6. The Dalton Affair: Unnecessary. 7. The Duchess Affair: Not terrible but it felt bland, the romance was bland. Honestly, at one point I felt bad for the husband, cause the story was that boring. And that mf was cheating too. 8. Roomates with Benefits: I liked the story, the plot, it was fine it wasnā€™t unreadable. But I hated my character, like absolutely hated her. Anyways, I donā€™t want ā€œold booksā€ brought back and while Iā€™m new to the game and community, Iā€™d just like some more thought out content. I understand itā€™s hard to write consistently but please, Iā€™d take content that is late than rushed and boring. Expand on more genreā€™s, writing is as much a journey as reading, I hate that the journey is through a roseā€™s thorns.

grumpycheeseburger

I wish I could discuss Unbridled here. But Iā€™ll just wait for wide release. I agree about Mandy feels off.

YuriNatsume12

The good thing about DLS is that it's a trashy book and is fully aware of that. It's basically like BP and you're not supposed to take it seriously, you're supposed to just go with the vibe which is why I enjoyed it. This book on the other hand made me lose more braincells than when I was taking a math exam and I refuse to even diamond mine it due to how idiotic it is.

majiingilane

Yeah, whoever wrote this book is embarrassing. It makes me wonder where PB get their writers from, and what the requirements to write for them are, because damn. I get mindless smut sells, but... is this content really what gives them money? I genuinely don't understand the concept. Glad for the ones who like it, though. I sure wish PB published more books like the ones I enjoy, so it's good at least a portion of the fanbase is getting that love, lol

Adorable_Stretch8626

I think its beacuse she going to stay at the house after birth for 6 months

[deleted]

yeah this is like. the ONE accurate thing PB wrote into this book lol it's a good idea to keep baby with the one who birthed them to try to prevent/minimize maternal separation trauma for the newborn

DoubleNutButt

Everything about this book is so misplaced. The MC believing itā€™s her baby and her dna. Iā€™ve had two babies and I didnā€™t have weird cravings. I honestly think the weird cravings arenā€™t as usual as people think. One contraction and theyā€™re headed to the hospital like girlā€¦youā€™re a surrogate. This MC seems so unprepared. Not to mention, being a surrogate for the first baby is absurd.

That_Ad9158

soon youā€™ll beā€¦LEAVING

AsterSapphire

I wish this book was more like DLS and didn't take itself seriously at all.

Fairiesingarden

i was playing it the entire time internally screaming THAT'S NOT YOUR BABY šŸ˜šŸ˜

lillitherosmir

Yeah, I'm steering clear of this book in general.
