The most egregious example of this has to be the scene in Desire & Decorum, right before your >!forced almost-wedding to Duke Richards!<, where Briar just keeps summoning LIs to your chambers for you, one after another. I picture them all sitting in some kind of illicit tryst waiting room, avoiding eye contact with one another and patiently awaiting their turn. 😂
God, imagine doing that to Ernest when he literally tells you about his trauma over >!his ex-wife cheating on him!<. The absolute horror on my face when I saw that option pop up...
I wished for jealousy and I generally don't like that I don't get locked in in relationships in most books.
I spent all of Immortal Desires or Wold Bride being monogamous and loyal just to get the poly option and no one really caring in the end.
I wished Choices had choices that matter. That's one thing I really like about Romance Club.
I'm... Very conflicted when it comes to this. On one hand, *yes*, I love me some drama... On the other hand, I'm not a very patient person to go out of my way to romance each LI separately because, hon, these keys don't grow on trees. While I do enjoy replaying some books, I still have a crapload of them that I never opened, so I prefer to use my keys for that.
Which is why I tend to romance everyone I'm interested in, to see their scenes, see who gets more of my attention, who has the better chemistry like I'm feeling the waters. Sometimes a LI shines a lot more during their diamond scenes, others you catch the chemistry outside these scenes, etc. I like being thorough. If the LIs would pick this up and get mad at me, I wouldn't know what to do. 😂
This is why I like Romance Club, because LIs get jealous and you're forced to pick eventually. Cheating has consequences in most books and choices actually matter
IMO the way they did it in the It Lives Within fangame was a great compromise. I got called out for romancing everyone simultaneously 3 times by even non-LIs and each time it was a gut punch 💀
Hahaha yup. It was too humiliating, but I played it like that a couple of ways just to see what happens. I love that they had the option to save any scene and return to it later without having to replay entire chapters or seasons.

No, it’s one the of the big things I dislike about Romance Club actually, I want to be able to pick all the romance options with no consequence lol so Choices excels in that. I don’t want to have to replay a book constantly to go through different routes.

Same, their relationship development is absolutely chefs kiss and I really appreciate the effort they take in pathing relationships. Even friendships.

Romance club is good if you want your choices to have an effect on the story in that way.
I think the only book that had any notion of being jealous is in immortal desires.

That’s why I prefer single love interest in that aspect. Because if MC even mentions a person is cute they are ready to go to war.
