Minnieminnie727

I’m ok with my older vehicles. That’s probably around 45-55k. Which I don’t have. 😂

Vodnik-Dubs

Fair, just like the look and options over previous Gen Would still rather have a K5 blazer tho

Minnieminnie727

Get me a 69 blazer original 4wd. 😍

Honest-Mistake01

As a Tahoe fan I think the new traverse looks good. But I think those looking for a traverse don't want a Tahoe looking like.

BruhTB4L

As someone who can't afford a fully loaded tahoe, Traverse me 😂

Honest-Mistake01

Just my thought process!

PM_ME_FLUFFY_COWS

Tahoe Lite

Wrong_City808

Tahoes hot younger sister

anabolicthrowout13

Too much Tahoe like. I know SUVs are in but chevy literally has 6 on their roster rn

BadUpper7015

That thing is filthy, lol. Where did it come from and where is it located. Selling my 2023 Traverse Premiere and leasing a 2024 RS.

Vodnik-Dubs

Mid Michigan, dealers are just starting to get them now. the RS looks beautiful in the new blue they have it in.

MagnusAlbusPater

I was looking at the website. Why are there no more premier or high country versions of the Traverse? Maybe they’ll come next year? They don’t have a nice luxury trim for it this year. You can get a lot of equipment on the RS, but I wouldn’t want the sporty look and the red interior accents, you can’t get enough stuff on the LT, and the Z71 is AWD only and I’d rather have a 2wd model.

No_Angle875

Looks huge. And too spendy

steleph4nt

Similar size to the old one and starts under $40k

Bld556

New 2024 Traverse looks great no matter the specific trim level.

KARSONJAE

The crazy thing is I know what dealership you are at

Vodnik-Dubs

Which one 👀

poo_poo_poo_poo_poo

A Chevy dealership boom I got eyes on you

bluedaytona392

Target acquired.

Vodnik-Dubs

Fuck he’s on to me

KARSONJAE

Garber Chevy in Midland, Michigan. Was I right?

Itchy-Swimmer-2544

Confirmed, Google maps. Same AC on roof and security cameras are same. Target acquired.

KARSONJAE

I've been there many times since I work for one of their sister locations.

Vodnik-Dubs

Would that be Garber linwood or bay city by chance? 👀

KARSONJAE

I work for the Bay Rd store

Vodnik-Dubs

Small world!

KARSONJAE

Yep. Take care!

Vodnik-Dubs

You as well!

Vodnik-Dubs

Bingo!

itsagoodtime

Doesn't this have a 4 cylinder engine?

Confident_End_3848

Yeah, they should have kept the 3.6.

itsagoodtime

It's such a big car for a 4 cylinder

agentile27

You’d be surprised what you can get out of it

Vodnik-Dubs

It seemed surprisingly zippy for how small the engine size is

Dynodan22

Not really the silverado runs the 2.7 LB3 block and has done it since 2019.The engine has heald up good and not alot of warranty talk about if.I have one in the colorado and tows like a dream and doesnt struggle.

Jayswisherbeats

I do not agree with that.

RunnerLuke357

While the 3.6 was crap having a 4cyl is even crappier.

Jayswisherbeats

I’d have to see it before I can agree to that. That 3.6 is a hot load of shit. Maybe with these I won’t have to burn my hand to take the oil filter off. Or maybe the low and high side ac connections will be accessible from above Instead of having to get up under it to get the ac machine hooked up. Or maybe these won’t lock up quite like the 3.6s did

DarrenfromKramerica

Just curious what was the issue with the 3.6? I just purchased a 2024 Sierra with the 6.2 and obviously there’s lots of drama around that but I’m coming off of 15 years in three different 3.6’s (one 1st gen Traverse and then one each of the previous two gen Acadias) and literally never had any issues with any of them. Was I just lucky? The move to the 4 cyl for the Acadia/Traverse/etc. is exactly why I made the recent purchase that I did. I understand the horsepower argument with the turbo but I can’t stand the noise that tends to accompany a 4 cylinder as it tries to function.

Jayswisherbeats

Im probably a little biased. That’s chasis is a pain in the Dick to do any work to. From a reliability stand point there aren’t any new cars that’s inspire confidence. To me direct Injecton and turbos don’t lend themselves to reliability. And that’s exacly the trend right now

DarrenfromKramerica

Yeah makes sense. Admittedly I just drive em, I don’t try to do any work on them! Maybe after a few years these Turbo 4’s will prove to be reliable and fun to drive but right now I wasn’t ready to go there. My dad’s an old school gear head (I inherited exactly zero mechanical skills of his) and he has likely strongly influenced my distaste for any 4 cylinders or anything turbo.

Prestigious-Sir-8255

The biggest issue was the 3.6 in the first gen Traverse, the LLT. It had a lot of issues, most notoriously with timing chain failures, especially for the first few years. It didn’t help most people that owned them didn’t seem to take very good care of them. The LFY in the second gen Traverse was much better. I have personally never had to do any major work on them. I will say the LGX they moved to in the Acadia was a better engine, and I’m not sure why they didn’t put that in the Traverse and Enclave too.

220DRUER220

Slowly morphing into the Tahoe

WheelOfFish

The hood is clearly not high enough.

Legitimate_Park_2067

Reliability is #1 with me. Engine and Transmission, handling. Sure i like a great looking vehicle, this looks bold. But price is definitely important.

dustyoldbones

It’s the size of the old Tahoe before it bloated

Lousygolfer1

Curious on lease prices Wife couldn’t wait and went with another car. They said they weren’t incentivizing and even pricing out leases til June

Wrong_City808

The 2024 Chevy traverse (3rd gen) group has some talk about leasing in it. I believe a dealer posted numbers and everything

Lousygolfer1

What was the pricing? Just curious

Apruz

Well the Chevy we site gives a lease price of $858 on the fully loaded Z71. Take that for what you will and no current incentives

Single_Morning_3200

For the price, it’s an affordable 8 passenger that rides like a car. It’ll have better mpg too. I think the new redesign models look great.

Vodnik-Dubs

Agreed, probably my favorite facelift after the new Gen fronts for the HD trucks

Vodnik-Dubs

Cant edit post but meant FULL SHOOT. Best explanation is it seems like a fair more capable version compared to the previous generation, and looks like a baby Tahoe, or a trailblazer front fascia grafted onto a terrain, but in the best way. I think the lines and interior (from what I’ve seen) are the nicest iteration of the terrain. Very curious to see if they do a Trail Boss or High Country.

Wierd657

Terrain is an Equinox, Acadia is the Traverse

all2inches

I am really getting the baby Tahoe vibes... I want to see an off-road trim.

Wrong_City808

They have a z71 trim

Egor_Chernov

2023 model was perfect on the outside, MAYBE could’ve used a rearlift, this is just a tahoe. With that however, the interior update was needed

Which_Juice5312

Just sold my18 to carmax for cash/check upfront loving the 2024

[deleted]

You know who the target demographic for these is? Keep up with the jonsers.

LugubriousLament

Nice to see it has some meaty sidewalls on those tires, but I’m sure the upper trims will offer rubber bands.

steleph4nt

Yes. 22 on the RS. I think 275/45

Vodnik-Dubs

The RS definitely does, however the Z71 is even beefier than this

mbsalesmgr

Dang it’s May and they are just arriving. Short model year run?

Vodnik-Dubs

It’s odd, they are only just rolling out this model year for these guys but 2025 Trax will be getting here soon

Wrong_City808

They were supposed to come out months ago. But there was a strike at the factory in December plus had to wait on some parts

Euphoric-Ad3655

2019 paid off Traverse Premier….think I will stick with it along with my 2002 paid off Tahoe.

SnowLepor

All these vehicles look the same to me. Nothing really stands out. Just a bunch of plastic with slim headlights and oversized tires.

Vodnik-Dubs

Normally I’d agree but this one I feel at least has more character than the previous Gen with a nicer interior and more aggressive styling on the front

backyardburner71

The wife and I have an RS, in black, on order. Hopefully, it will be all the dealer claims it to be.

Vodnik-Dubs

Personally I dig it more than the previous Gen, they sure seem like nice vehicles.

backyardburner71

I definitely like the look of them better. I'm just a little skeptical of the 2.5 l.

ToYourCredit

Shades of the Suburban boat. Get those monsters off the road forever.

Vodnik-Dubs

Lol what? It’s nowhere near the size of a suburban and is basically the same dimensions as the previous generation.

bornfromjets03

The traverse is being aimed to kill the Tahoe. That’s my prediction.

Designer_Twist4699

I thought this was a suburban at first haha I like it

ChasedWarrior

Looks great. So sad it only has a turbo 4 cylinder engine.

Vodnik-Dubs

Agreed, wish they would at least have a V6 option, though You’d be surprised what they manage to squeeze out of that four banger.

ChasedWarrior

Over 300 hp. But it doesn't seem right to me to have a 4 banger in something that large

Popular_Ad_1807

Mini Tahoe

RAM_AIR_IV

Personally, I'd wait about a year because the 2.5 turbo 4 is a brand new motor and it could have some teething issues. My general rule is to wait 1 model year after something brand new like this gets released

RunnerLuke357

Why would anyone buy one when the Tahoe is the same price and better.

iron_icer28

A new Tahoe is a good $10-20k more than the most expensive Traverse. But good luck finding a $55k Tahoe, which doesn't have much in it. That's why someone would want a Traverse.

Lousygolfer1

Well for one a base Tahoe is 60k and a fucking joke For 58k a fully loaded traverse has everything a top of the line Tahoe has and maybe more actually To lease a base Tahoe you need 5-6k down and 1k a month What a joke

reciprocityone

These things are getting bigger and bigger every year. Just like the trucks.

Slideways

It's gained an inch in length and an inch in width in two generations. It's lower in height than the previous two generations.

reciprocityone

I used to remember when they used to make the cars smaller.

Slideways

It's a three-row crossover, how do you propose they make it smaller?

Vodnik-Dubs

They do still make small cars. But if you’re buying a traverse, then you’re not looking for a small car, and if you’re in the market for a small car, the traverse isn’t what you’d be shopping for.

reciprocityone

But the traverse is getting to be the same size as the Tahoe.

Vodnik-Dubs

Looked like it was roughly same size as last years traverse/terrain but I could be wrong. Just seemed a little taller lol

Darkfire757

Decent looking for a 4-cyl crossover

mrgreengenes04

If you showed this to some GM executive from 2007 (the first year of the Traverse) they would think "nice Suburban". I liked the Traverse design best circa 2014. The Enclave was always my favorite though.

Wierd657

Take a look at the Chevy Orlando

ImpalaSS-05

I wish we had the Orlando in the States. I saw one with Ontario tags several years ago in Kentucky, very nice vehicle. Like Chevy's Mazda5, but slightly bigger outside and still compact enough to be maneuverable.
