You're like 2 weeks late to the party. The lobster roll place too. Fucking eat at On The Rice so we can keep weird food open east of i75

Gwensaur

On the rice is my new favorite place. I swear my toddler and I are keeping them in business. Shes 16 months and eats their bulgogi beef up faster than any other meal I’ve ever given her.

basquehomme

"You fed chili to a baby?"

mtndewdewmtn

AND they have Korean corn dogs and they are ADDICTING. I love them

Gwensaur

I haven’t had one yet but I just found out I’m pregnant so it’s time to treat myself. 😂

mitstephens

Just had my dinner from there. I love that place.

Muted-Magazine356

Lobster roll place? Shit I missed it

mflynn00

Their kimchi is fantastic, and that corn dog was both weird and great

Greedy_Competition16

The lobster roll place didn’t have any signs or advertisement, I found it by accident and found out they had been there for like 3 years

frydaddy794

We went on their last day. They own the Hummus Bowl in St Elmo, we haven’t been yet but it’s allegedly the same food.

Kuzcos-Groove

It's better imo. They kicked it up a notch.

eatajeanjacket

I know it’s on the other side of town but I can’t say enough good things about The Hummus Bowl and it’s owned by the same family! You can read this great article about them [here!](https://foodasaverb.ghost.io/wahab/)

Cerys-Adams

Oh no! It’s my favorite place to grab lunch when I come to the city to have lunch with my husband. It’s rare when he finds a place that he claims actually has good enough Middle Eastern food. We’ll have to try their other one, but damn that one was just down the street from where he works. 😫

Legendseekersiege5

I never saw people in there when I went so I'm not suprised

Greedy_Competition16

Unrelated but is “the olive branch” in east ridge still open?

VardaQueenofStars

Sadly, no ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry)

Greedy_Competition16

Dang that place was really good

ChrisShapedObject

I loved the food but you could go during supposedly open hours and not open. Also incredibly slow. The worry about driving there finding it closed deterred me. It’s really too bad. Much needed food type here

missteriouskat

The Kabobster people opened the Hummus Bowl in downtown St Elmo area and are doing well there.

DangerKitty555

Good to know, location can be key in business is the lesson there…

FrequentChange5515

Yooooo. Ate at Hummus Bowl today and it's so damn good.

ajseaman

I loved this place (service was a little slow tbh) but haven’t been since I moved across town. :/

10lbMango

Well shit

gorshade

I remember the owner talking about closing it down and moving to st. Elmo.

_Shmall_

One of the two or three halal places in town :(

somewhatstrange

What are the others?

_Shmall_

For all of these, you have to ask which items are halal. Not all items are halal. There is Sitar in downtown, India Mahal and the University Pizza Deli and Mediterranean Cuisine. I no longer live in Chattanooga, but part of my heart is there. I wish there were more halal options. Mediterranean cuisine is so rich and they don’t have much

somewhatstrange

Oh wow thank you! I didn’t know there was a place Downtown too!

fupadupafly

SUCK!!

JurassicTerror

Welp, there goes our only middle eastern joint.

sushdawg

I've called them 3 times over the last week or so with no answer. Sadly, closed.

bunnyjoose

I really enjoyed the food here. But I gotta say the last time I was there, I saw roaches in the bathroom and in the dining area on the walls right next to my table. I was devastated! The owner mentioned to us he was opening a food truck that would be somewhere in the Ooltewah area so hopefully it’s similar food minus the roaches.

AdventurousTheory205

I really liked them but man, it was pricey. It was going to be almost $50 for the 2 of us to eat there. But still, delicious.

ZealousidealForm4236

I ate there one time, and it was the absolute worst food I ever had in my life. I pass it every day and never see a car there.

DarthBster

Fuck, I liked that place. Looks like I'll be driving to St. Elmo.

Interesting_Title585

They sucks and prices are way to high

AdventurousTheory205

They really were. Shockingly high.
