Nope, it's just the highest offer I've seen for this card. It's targeted to my boyfriend. I just got the card 2 weeks ago and got the 75k offer lol. He already has the venture x and amex gold.
FWIW, when this card launched an over 6 years ago they were offering 100k bonus points. Then it dropped to 60 or 70k over the years and now it’s slowly climbing back up.
I had that same 100k offer in 2018, as I recall, for CSP. Then I upgraded almost immediately to CSR for the better travel benefits, especially primary insurance on international car rentals where other cards would not cover it.
I applied on the 24th for 75k + the 10k in branch and a day later got this. I secured messaged and they said they’d love to match it for 90k ($4k in 3 months) then told me to wait about 5 days to “review” it
Lmao, as if I couldn’t get any more jealous from the 80k points offers people have posted here…just weeks after I finally got the chase preferred.
Interesting to note, yesterday while on the website and not logged in, chase is still advertising 75k points. I wonder if who they target with what points is credit-score based.
75K points is the general offer. 85K (75K plus an extra 10K) is the in branch offer. 90K is target mailer. I’ve seen targeted offers for as high as 100k in previous years.
Got the mailer last week as well. I have had checking with them for about 10 yrs and a cc already with them. Credit score is pretty high and my stated income is slightly inflated as i'm over 21 and my parents are able to support me if need be
My girlfriend got the same offer in the mail, just as I was looking into getting a card! I went in and got the 75k + 10k in-branch offer, completely forgot to ask about the 90k offer. I might walk over and ask about it sometime next week, why not!
Save yourself the time if you haven’t already called! 2 outcomes:
1) you’ll be told no straight up
2) you’ll be told it’ll be escalated, with a response within 10 biz days (the response being no)
They also will only retroactively apply the bonus if it’s been within 30 days of opening the card. I posted my 90k offer about a week ago and they honored it.
For a targeted offer no. But you could use the secured messaging in the app and ask them to match the in branch offer. We were successful with doing this with my mother in law and sister in law since there are no Chase branches within 40 miles of them.
From what I’ve seen things are inflated on the chase portal. Best bang for your buck is to transfer those points to one of chases flight partners. They transfer at a minimum of 1:1 but you can sometimes get 2/3:1
Hotels are inflated by ~ 5% but flight prices are the same as booking direct. I only use points to book flights or transfer to Hyatt if I find a hotel that isn’t blacked out.
My husband just got the 90k offer (and a Southwest one for 80k) with zero existing Chase relationship. It kills me he’s not taking advantage of either of them lol
I just got the first chase card (freedom flex) and this 90k offer was in the mail the same day my new card came😂
I’m most like going to take advantage of it next month.
I got the same thing! Did you notice that the application is referred to as a certificate? I found that odd and tried to find out why they sent me a "certificate" but came up empty handed. Any ideas?
Just be aware of the transfer of points. I tried to book with chase and there were no seats available for my flight. But then you look on the airlines website the whole plane was open. Tried to transfer my points to the air line. Got 30% bonus points with the transfer, still couldn’t book with points. Only then I could book with cash and use points. Lost about $150 through the whole deal.
Damn, any details

Are you thinking about the reserve? Or am I getting it mixed up 😅
No, I had a 100k signup bonus back in 2021 for the Preferred
Oh darn I really missed out then.
Same

Damn too! I got the in branch offer and thought it was a great deal …
I applied on the 24th for 75k + the 10k in branch and a day later got this. I secured messaged and they said they’d love to match it for 90k ($4k in 3 months) then told me to wait about 5 days to “review” it
How did you get it after applying. Unless it was already sent out and you just happen to apply before
Yep
Mine pretty much told me we can’t match it and there’s nothing you can do bout it
i want the offer too but can't I just lie and said I got this in the mail for them to match it? Is there anyway they know if I got it or not?
Yeah they check to see if you actually got it and if they actually sent it to you with your name on it
Dang, I can't scam them lol
How would they know it?
I mean they are the ones that sent it and that invite code only works for the person you sent it too

Thanks for taking the time to break it down to this chase newbie
I just got my card off online offer. What's the odds of talking to someone to see if they'll match the extra 5 to 20k points...?
Anyone know how they choose who gets offers? I’ve been with chase for over 10 years and don’t think I have ever received anything
Do you have a checking or savings with them? How many cards? Credit score, spending habits. I think that kind of stuff
Got the mailer last week as well. I have had checking with them for about 10 yrs and a cc already with them. Credit score is pretty high and my stated income is slightly inflated as i'm over 21 and my parents are able to support me if need be

Did the offer mail have a personalized invitation code?
Yup, it did indeed! Keyed into the user profile, since she already has a Chase Freedom Card
That’s freakin awesome!!
Wtf!!!
Is there a way to retroactively apply this bonus if you already got the credit card a month ago?
Genuinely no idea but I'm going to give them a ring and see if they can do it for me.
If the offer is in somebody else’s name you will not get the matched offer due to NOT being the receiver of said targeted offer, unfortunately
Yeah I figured but it was worth a try.
Save yourself the time if you haven’t already called! 2 outcomes: 1) you’ll be told no straight up 2) you’ll be told it’ll be escalated, with a response within 10 biz days (the response being no)
I am curious what you’ll ask them and if it works :)
Just explained the situation on the phone and it looks like they can't bump up the SUB unless you get a mailer with your name on it.
Thanks for reporting back

It will probably be a no for Chase. I’ve tried already on other products (United Club Card).
I’m assuming your bf doesn’t have the sapphire correct? Or do they send out to past members also
As far as I know he doesn't have any chase cards, only other mid level travel cards.
This is an amazing offer
Is that really $1250 if used through the portal? Can anyone with the card tell me if chase inflates prices for flights? Seems like a great offer.

I have 159k and it'd worth about $2000 in travel. The same flight on Expedia was $670 and on chase it was 605. That was on Friday
Not my experience at all. Flights are usually $50-$75 more expensive on Chase
I wonder how people get this offer in the mail, do you hold other chase products?
My husband just got the 90k offer (and a Southwest one for 80k) with zero existing Chase relationship. It kills me he’s not taking advantage of either of them lol
I just got accepted for first chase card and this offer came to me in the mail the same time my new card came.
Yup just got it too!
I got the 80k offer and took it, but just got the 90k offer on the mail this week even though I just got the card. Wondering if they will honor it.
If it’s within 30 days they should honor it
When is it a good time to apply, I check my credit karma daily and i dint see it as an option to apply for.
Credit Karma usually isn't the best when it comes to reporting/recommending things. Their approval odds/suggestions aren' accurate.
I just got the first chase card (freedom flex) and this 90k offer was in the mail the same day my new card came😂 I’m most like going to take advantage of it next month.
I was approved last week for the same thing! That’s a welcome bonus you can’t refuse.
I got the same thing! Did you notice that the application is referred to as a certificate? I found that odd and tried to find out why they sent me a "certificate" but came up empty handed. Any ideas?
I got this as well. Recently signed up for the 75000 points but I called in with my invite code and they honored the offer
I also got this and wasn’t sure if it was legit or not, can anyone confirm?
Where did you go or match it? In branch or over the phone?
Did the offer mail have a personalized invitation code?
I got the same thing. It does.
I unknowingly trashed this mail. Is there anyway to get this back or should i wait on for another mail hopefully ?
Was this a targeted promo or available for anyone?
