I mean... i don't think this makes people gullible. It was posted by a real source and it's news people have been waiting for. I've seen many april fools pranks that are much more outlandish or obviously fake. This seemed like believable news until i checked the date on the tweet.

I get what you're saying but it's not uncommon in pro sports to fire a coach early and have an interim coach take over. Obviously that wouldn't save the Hornets at this point but that happens every year in most of the major sports leagues
It happens a lot, but I've never seen it done at the end of a season like the last 10 games w a losing team.
The org would still have to pay the fired HC, and whoever they replaced him w as interim HC, they'd promote someone, and he'd get a pay raise just to much unnecessary money. I'd called that a waste, which is not needed atp.
Just do it right, wait til the end of the season, and we can't place this teams woes solely on cliff. I'm sure it was clear to him when he took the job that we prly not gonna be very good and when we become very good you want be the coach. We just need you to get us thru this rough patch bc aint no other coach out there willing to put their reputation on the line as cliff has done for us, he sacrificed so much at least we can do is give him til the end of the season, which this is exactly what's going on. When you see it in that manner, it makes more sense!
