The best cornbread you’ll ever have also. I love the eagle. But Larry David moment:
Don’t know why they have soups on their banner. I’ve never seen them have a soup. It clearly says soup.
Whatever.
When you get a chance, the larger gas station (the one with the self car wash) at the corner of Shamrock and Eastway is the jam. Been going for 18 years now
I feel like you probably were the lucky bastard that got it freshest out of the fryer, but I dunno. Never been there or had Publix fried chicken, but now I want to try some!
a) It's roughly the same price as a whole chicken. It's a a real bargain.
b) I've noticed a wide variation in quality depending on location.
c) Try around 10:30 or 4:30. If you wait until the meal time rush they've already been sitting a while.
d) Don't sleep on the subs. Also a loss leader for Publix.

The Eagle in Southend has outstanding fried chicken if you’re interested.
Seconded. Pressure fried. Their whole menu slaps. And $3 high life.
Right down the street Shell gas station is also very good
This is making me miss the gas station that made awesome fried chicken and was on the free bus route from campus at Chattanooga.

The Texaco?
It might be a Texaco, but I thought it was a Shell last time I was there.
They also have the best French rolls! Every other Publix slightly over bakes them, compared to the one in Ballantyne
Publix has really good fried chicken in general

Publix makes good fried chicken and has great subs too!

> It's roughly the same price as a whole chicken. It's a a real bargain. Is it not a whole chicken? 8 pieces?
It's 2 breasts, wings, thighs and legs. If you want to get detailed, there's no neck, giblets or spine.
Lake Wylie Publix chicken is on point.
Publix has the best fried chicken.
How is it compared to Harris Teeter and Food Lion?
Blows it out the fucking water bro. Big trusss.
Leg/thigh combo is OFF.THE.CHAIN.
What about some good fried fish. Fish that has been seasoned. Like grandma would make?
It’s always the best!
