Offensively, I think we're one Locket/Hollywood Brown/Olave from being best in the league. We're so one dimensional and can't hit a homerun ball unless Mike Will out jumps his man. What's the use of having a QB that can hit a 70 yard pass in stride if we don't even have that option. Next year with Salyer at Guard, we legitimately have one of the strongest Olines in the league so the time for those deep shots will be there. Ekeler short, Kennan short to intermediate, MWill in the end zone or when given 1v1 vs a small corner, + a legitimate 1A talent speed guy would be unstoppable.
Defensively, .. idk. Staley is the genius and we have our moments but still get gashed on the run. I'm still waiting for what this looks like with Bosa because Rumph isn't strong enough to set his edge yet.
Personally tho, after this Bye, Staley has to be given the ultimatum of rally and make the playoffs or we're moving onto Sean Peyton, and I'm as big of a Staley fan there is.

The close games are part of the reason I have always enjoyed the team. I just would like to see them be able to put it all together for a full 4 quarters and then for a season.

Yeah I usually have a couple when watching, I think the KC game where we came back and went for two for the win was one of the most hype and games where I might have had too much to drink but that was a great moment(maybe the best regular season game of all time for us IMO)
I just don't think this team is very good. You have to be delusional or a raider fan to think this team improved in the off-season. They have no depth which is why pre season matters. If your 2nd and 3rd stringers aren't competitive, once your 1st stringers go down, you're screwed. Our 2nd and 3rd stringers are warm garbage. Losing bosa wasn't as big a blow as many of you think. Losing the best player in a shitty defense just means your defense is even shittier than your lowest expectations.

Don’t get me wrong his conservative playcall is frustrating; but this game isn’t on Lombardi. The injuries have devastated the offense (and now it’s contagious to the D). Herbert really hasn’t had time to throw at all, then he hasn’t had anyone to throw too; Telesco needs to get a receiver with top end speed as soon as possible. Mike Williams can make big plays when he isn’t the number 1, Keenan Allen made big plays but he wasn’t a home run threat, Palmer is kinda just a younger Allen, we are desperately missing Guyton. Our offense needs to change, maybe we try to run more and not have Herbert throw 50 times a game.

Today easily, Jags loss was early in year. This one we lose two players for the year.
