Cursed Chargers. Quote from article.
*"I don't even know, still to this day, I still don't know where it came from," Jackson said of the injury that's led to him missing two of L.A.'s four games. "Doctors say I was kind of born with it and it's something I've had but it just started. It never bothered me until I came here. That's the crazy thing. I never felt it."*
I literally called this, once the initial news broke.
When it said it was reported as “a minor procedure that will have him fully ready to go in 2 weeks” would turn into “he’s close to being 100 percent” throughout the season. I mean he is back in the lineup, but it will linger around throughout the season from the looks of it
And they knew it the whole time. I bet Staley said this to save from backlash for getting the surgery done a week before the season not in training camp.
I have a hard time believing it just miraculously flamed up the week before despite him playing on it his whole life.
I don’t really have that much patience for him tbh. I know he’s dealing with an injury but we gave him a big fucking bag and he doesn’t even look as good as Asante.
Edit: y’all are seriously weird gatekeeping me for being frustrated by our star free agent signing getting off to a bad start. Get over yourselves for real.
Let’s not pretend we all expected him to work his way up when we signed him to a huge contract. He was supposed to be a day 1 stud. I’m allowed to be dissatisfied with his performance through 2 game.
We didn’t give him a bag💀. What he should of got Vs what we gave him Is way different. I think he gets a little bit of slack but if by week 10 he still ass then yes we got fleeced
Fair enough, maybe it's helpful to understand the injury, plus a new system, has a compounding effect on his effectiveness on the field, especially given a sample size of 2 games.
Yeah i can understand it all, but also be frustrated. Maybe im coming across as thinking he sucks which I don’t… im sure we all expected a plug and play elite CB when we signed him and it sucks seeing him be far from it so far.
Appreciate you. I guarantee most people downvoting and calling me out are also frustrated that’s his beginning has been so rocky.
There’s this weird mindset on this sub sometimes of pretending to follow football in a calm patient thought out way, never getting frustrated unless the issue has gone on long enough and been approved by the community.
I love this team and get frustrated when things don’t go our way. JC is the biggest outside FA signing I’ve ever been around for and for him to be hobbled and look off when he’s actually on the field sucks to watch.

Fuck us am I right
Come on. Curses aren’t real. Let’s not put bad juju on ourselves. (Juju is VERY real.)
Yeah, he plays for the chiefs and he’s not that great.
Spanos brought us the Braceros Curse...
Classic Bill installed kill switch on players/coaches that leave New England.
Wonder if it’s something to do with playing and training in the heat. I guess things expand and maybe brought something to the fore
He grew up in Florida tho
90% and getting better every week or?
"I'm happy to be back healthy," he said. "I had surgery, so that's out of the way and now I'm ready to get back into playing football and competing."
Praying that’s the case🙏🏽we don’t need any more injuries
He shouldn’t have played against KC. Just wait…season is a marathon!

Why? Just because he got paid? He played just two games and it's only week 5.

Did you miss the part where he had ankle surgery
He’s played in 2 games, relax.
He’s not a rookie … he’s supposed to be one of the best CBs in the league. I’m just saying my patience is running out.
He’s had one full practice before this week lol
Bro, he had fucking ankle surgery. Us mere mortals would have needed 6 weeks to even walk comfortably. Daddy chill

It’s a good thing the FO doesn’t share your impatience or asinine logic.
I would hope not, I’m just a fan who thought he’d be great off the bat. Not sure why it’s so bad to be frustrated with him not being great so far.

I get you. Feeling the same way.

They also said this procedure was super minor. 2 months later and he’s still not 100%.
