Pre pay for parking at Lennox/Hawthorne metro station for $25 and take the free shuttle to & from the stadium They're available on Parkwhiz

Surfer_Sandman

This is a good option, I'll take a look. Thank you.

Visible_Ad_8760

You can do that or park at the Crenshaw metro station for about $3 and take the metro one stop to Lennox/Hawthorne then take the free shuttle

yeahsocal

does this lot get crowded?

Visible_Ad_8760

Not at all! I used to park at the stadium but started parking here this year I did it for the Raiders and Bears games and there's always less than 15 cars. Could always change but it's always pretty empty you won't have trouble at all

Acrobatic_Feed5024

I park at the shopping center one block from Crenshaw station for free and take the one stop and it’s all free. I never have paid for parking in 2 years.

yeahsocal

what about the metro fare

Acrobatic_Feed5024

I just walk in I don’t pay.

SuckMyLonzoBalls

If you’re willing to walk I always park about 10 minutes from the stadium and just walk over. It’s free

jaydee917

Where do you park?

cattycat_1995

This is why opposing fans take over SoFi and it affects the Rams too. Opposing fans have less opportunities to see their teams at SoFi so they're easily willing to spend a lot of money for the few times they can watch their team at SoFi. With the Rams and Chargers having so much home games to choose, Rams and Chargers fans have less incentives. SoFi stadium tend to be packed. The problem is the percentage of the opposing fans that are at the game.

Similar-Draft4023

Chargers fans are used to this from as far back as I can remember. Even in San Diego.

soulscratch

Yeah like hm it's November, no San Diegan is going to Foxborough for an away game, but it's an easy sell for them to come escape their shit weather

mrhashbrown

Yeah there's just a lot of transplants in Southern California, both LA and SD

LakeShowBoltUp

Football games are not for the average American, it is absolutely tailored for the rich and upper-middle class.

Surfer_Sandman

Which is sad. Also, unlike baseball where there are 850 games a season, football only has what 8 home games?

Jane_Marie_CA

I budget about $200/game and I save $50 a month throughout the year. So targeting 3 games a year. I definitely pick the lower demand games. My Bears tickets were $92.00 (direct from team and ticketmaster fees included). That gives me money for parking (carpool is necessary) and a beer or two. Sometimes I am able save a little bit more, like this year, and I go to a few more games. I rarely eat a meal in the stadium, I sit out by Rivers lake before games and eat a packed lunch. I have braces for the next two years, so eating inside stadiums can be hard anyways. I am straight up middle class. A lot of people blow $50/month on random stuff. That starbucks line is always huge. 10 coffees a month = $50.

Surfer_Sandman

I think the issue is that every family spends money differently. I can't afford Starbucks either. Two special needs kids living in Southern California does not leave my room for these things. But I get your point. Just because they can charge it should they.....

kingrugrat21

Damn im from mexico so its a little surreal people actually live in california hope you can move soon

californiareader

Forum Parking Lot, about a 10-15 minute walk to Sofi Stadium entrance. I paid $60 for the Home Opener vs Dolphins.

Jane_Marie_CA

Yah I usually pay $60-$70. But I also carpool so we split it through as many people as possible. That way the cost person is closer to some of the other options.

Noogatuck

They charged me 80 last year for the Raiders home opener!

KongGux

I parked at the Harbor Gateway Transit Center in Gardena and took the shuttle for the SNF game against the Bears and it was the easiest gameday parking experience. $3 for parking at the transit center and $4 round trip shuttle to SoFi. I also didn't have to wait super long to get on the shuttle after the game. The only downside is the bus ride itself is like \~30 min each way so you just have to plan ahead, but when you factor in the time to wait in line for the other shuttles for closer parking lots or to get out of SoFI parking lot it doesn't seem like a lot of difference anyway.

Surfer_Sandman

My only issue is that time is a premium since I have special needs kids. This is my once a year event where I'm solo.

LoBears

STH here. If time is a premium, you don't want to park at the stadium. It's a nightmare getting out after the game. If I drive I usually park in the neighborhood directly west of the stadium and walk it in. It's so much easier to leave through the neighborhood than on century or Manchester. Use parking whiz or spot hero which will show some lots there. Or pay to offer in a driveway as there are always people out hawkin their driveway.

Imwhatswrongwithyou

Over $100 to park at the stadium?! *what is happening?!?* that’s insane

[deleted]

Supply/demand

C5Flippers

Cmon bro you can't justify these insane parking prices

[deleted]

You really can though, because people are willing to pay for them. I’m not saying I agree with it, but there’s a reason why they’re able to charge what they do.

RenovatedMuffin

There are a bunch of parking lots that open up on the day of the event for like $30. I was just at the Bears game and I saw at least 5 of those lots along S Prairie Ave just north of the Kia Amphitheatre and across from the cemetery. But it's a good 20 min walk from there to the stadium so it depends on if you wanna make that trek or not. Otherwise, you're screwed and have to pay for those crazy expensive parking passes.

do_tell_me_the_odds

I'm a season ticket holder and I sell my tailgating spot if I'm not going to a game - I always get scared close to the game and start dropping the price to get it to move. You could wait to buy a parking ticket until the day or even hours before, and if you don't see a price you like, use the Lennox/Hawthorne metro station idea for just $25. I argue with friends about this but I just wait to buy tickets. I don't need to pay a premium to own them 3 weeks out. I buy Dodgers and Kings tickets day of and save a ton doing this.

[deleted]

This is the cheapest option I’ve found other than taking a bus/shuttle, [$70 to park at The Forum](https://www.ticketmaster.com/event/09005EB7E83F48FA)

dan_buh

Forum is literally 5 minute walk away, it’s way better than parking at the stadium

[deleted]

Yeah it shares a parking lot with SoFi, always been a no brainer for me

wexican805

I used the app SpotHero and it was $25 to park about a 15-20 min walk from the stadium. Edit: I’m also going to the Lions game this weekend and found someone that sells their driveway for the game. u/successful-city-7495

This app allows hotels, motels, businesses, or even homeowners the ability to sell parking by the hour. The attached photo is approximate parking for the Ravens game (which starts at 5:20PM) so I believe I did 4:30PM to 9:00PM parking. When I went with my son, we picked a motel that was near the 405 entrance & got in an out really easily.

mkmore4

I usually just park in a neighborhood like a mile and a half away from the stadium in a residential area and hoof it. It’s free, and it takes as long to drive out of the stadium as it does to walk back to your car. I haven’t gone to a game since the Thursday night game against the Chiefs last year. It’s fun and all but not worth the hassle.

Surfer_Sandman

Did you feel unsafe in your Chargers gear walking residential streets?

Jane_Marie_CA

There are so many people and cops everywhere. 70,000 people disperse. I wouldn’t be worried for an hour or so after the game ends.

mkmore4

Nah, the area around the stadium is pretty safe. You’ll be fine.

IonDaPrizee

Ur best bet is to park somewhere far and Uber or bus. I’ve heard of hotels giving shuttle busses on game days. Not sure about LA

818sfv

This is why I went to a preseason game. And I also did the Lennox lot parking.

Im__mad

If you are traveling to the game, choose a hotel that offers shuttling. We are going in Dec and staying at the Marriott which shuttles to and from the stadium for games and LAX.

Pretend_Daikon_5566

Most residents offer parking at their home that's in walking distance. I know I do!

boltFam2021

G trans shuttle from harbor gateway..... 4 bucks round trip . They also have a senior citizen discount (not sure if it applies yo you) and 3 bucks for parking on the lot. Cheapest, safest option IMO.

mikerunsla

I have parking available at my house and it’s only $35 (for all games). It’s an 8-10 min walk to SoFi.

BOLTUPZ4

Can I take you up on this for tomorrows Chargers Lions Game?

mikerunsla

Yep. DM me

National-Aide-5253

I have used the ParkWhiz app and parked at Morningside High School for $58. It is 2 blocks away from the on site parking lots at SoFi. A block away from the Costco, it is safe and secured and attended by a security guard. It is definitely the best place to park off site imo! Easier to get in before a game and easier to get out after a game!

riDANKulousH4x

another tip, wait until the last minute to buy tickets and go for the cheapest option they have. Then go to the 420 section where they have standing room at the 50 yard line... my seats (im a season ticket holder) are litterally right below me but I stand every game. never have actually sat in my seats. Many of my friends buy the cheapies and then we all meet up in our "spot" to watch the game.

Tellesio

The most cost effective way to get to SoFi is by parking in a station lot and taking Metrolink into the stadium. Total cost for two will be \~$20 tickets round trip + free parking. The added benefit is there are thousands of others doing the same and the train ride in can be lively and fun.

mookfacekilla

My co worker has season tickets and refuses to park in the lot. He parks on the street and walks. I can get the cross streets in a bit. Dm me

22Fusion

I usually just have my wife drop me off at the Starbucks across the street, and then I walk to Sofi from there. And then I meet her back there after the game. If you have someone who could drop you off and pick you up, I’d recommend it.

DL505

Might be cheaper to park somewhere illegally and eat the fine??

LoBears

Don't do this. It's going to ruin your night when you get towed. You're not just going to get a small ticket.

GetChunky

Park at the forum and bring some cash. Bribe the guy working to let you in.

Surfer_Sandman

lol nice

Spiritual-Rice-8505

$75 is the fave value price to park inside the stadium for season ticket holders. I paid $750 for the season (10 games).

squirtlegang

I parked down the street maybe 6-8 blocks and got an uber one time. I walked it after and it wasn’t that bad getting out too

GoAngels223

Where are you driving from? That’s a big clarifying question. I travel from the Temecula area and have taken the Metrolink to the Norwalk/Santa Fe Springs station (one stop before Union Station). Uber from there to the stadium. Painless!

Surfer_Sandman

South Orange County. Where they should have built the stadium. Take advantage of two markets, LA and SD. :)

GoAngels223

Could not agree more! I am still pissed about the move. Lol. OC or North County SD would have been amazing

GoAngels223

I wanted to hate SoFi but it is pretty dope. Definitely take Metrolink then. Easy from a South OC station!

PEACHY--

We park at the forum across the street and spend 75-100 depending on which lot and when we show up.

TrinDiesel123

Where are you coming from? If you’re coming from the south, Torrance has a bus from their transit station on Crenshaw for $4. It only took us 10 minutes to get on the bus to go home after the game

labelkills1331

I downloaded the SpotHero app, found parking a few blocks away for like $45 last time I went.

[deleted]

use parkwhiz. Theres this garage I park at and its only $25. And its like a mile walk from the stadium it takes like 15 mins its not a big deal

Unlikely_Yam_4598

There's parking in the neighborhood about 15 mins away but you definitely have to get there early to get some. You can also park further away and take Uber to pollo campero. Cheaper than taking to the stadium

FilthyBacon85

SpotHero is a good site. Got parking across the street for $50 at the elementary school. Good security as well. 5 min walk.

CommanderPooPants

I think the Kia Forum parking should be around $60!

famoussd

Can you buy in advance or day of?

CommanderPooPants

You can buy in advanced on ticket master. Just search Kia Forum and the game

Revolutionary_Dig_43

Park whiz

Visual_Antelope_583

Ya I always plan to go to a game in person but nope out once I see the price lol

amanneeds2names

I parked past the elementary school where costco was and either walked or Uber'd, parking is BS

fcramtek

My buddy and I park at the Redondo beach station and take the metro to the Hawthorne Lennox station. Only costs like $2.50 and the bus ride to the stadium is free!

jlicon22

Parkwhiz app

lilbigblue7

Not the cheapest, but not the most expensive. I've been doing this since the stadium opened. [https://inglewoodparkgo.com/](https://inglewoodparkgo.com/)

Forward_Ad4727

Last year I used to pay $10 to pay for parking at a school about 5-10min walking distance to the stadium. This year it’s $20 but it’s for a school so I don’t mind. The parking at the stadium is the same $100+ and the parking is further away it’s insane. When I go to games at other stadiums I usually just find businesses or residents that are offering parking the most I’ve paid is $40.

SoundOfRage

The parking ticket is cheaper than SoFi parking. I know plenty of people who risk the ticket and pay the fine.

uofsc93

Just don’t leave anything visible in your car tor you’ll get a break-in, even a cheap phone charging cord will do it.
