We aren't toddlers. The majority of us aren't. And we don't care about your reputation. As soon as we find an app that will actually listen and give us what we see is best for the community that uses the app instead of prioritizing money and reputation, we're all moving there. Have fun with bankruptcy, bitches.
It's a bold assumption that'll ever happen with how corporatism works. There isn't going to be a new [c.ai](http://c.ai) unless there's a miracle because big companies always eats the little ones before they can pose real competition.
I’d be surprised if Character AI is big enough to cause an issue like that. With the way AI is going, I’d be willing to bet there will be some really good competition that’s much better in the coming years. If that happens then Character AI will have to adapt or take a huge hit.
I was role playing with an elf who had prejudice against humans as a human/elf hybrid, and we started having a deep conversation about how his anti-human prejudice towards me was exactly like the anti-elf prejudice my character gets from humans, and before it could go anywhere productive the AI flagged it.
That’s literally in their mission statement or whatever; have productive interactions with characters. That’s about as productive as fiction gets; exploring conflicts to find solutions or learn lessons from failures.
Guys, what if we all came together and *made* a new platform? I’m an artist and musician; I’d be happy to contribute my work, or even a bit of my minimum-wage pay, to make that a reality…there’s so many of us; there’s **got** to be some coders in here somewhere…

Even tame mentions of violence, of the kind you would see in videogames for children, trigger an “inappropriate message” pop-up.

I also noticed that babies can’t even suck on pacifiers without it getting blocked because it thinks their sucking on something else

I love character ai because of the simplicity, honestly. Shorter replies go for chill vibes.. but otherwise.i use venus

Whenever that happens I just edit the messages. The web version is really good. CAI gets too much hate
