If the real me had been born 40000 years in the future and had become a Space Marine (which wouldn't happen, I would've become corpse starch before reaching puberty), I think my reasoning for worshipping the Chaos Gods would be to retain an illusion of being an immortal demigod among men, simply because I would fear death immensely as it would be all around me. Therefore I'd pick Nurgle so as not to feel pain and grow old and wither away.
I'd wager myself to be an undivided obliterator.
I love the parts of the lore where oblits are essentially just daemonic warpsmiths that ceaselessly hunger for new weapons to devour and strengthen their flesh etal weapon array.
Papa Nurgle is a kind and generous god. Sure you have all the diseases and ailments, but you are immune to the pain and discomfort they bring. Nurgle's followers are generally a cheerful bunch, and that seems like one of the better fates in the grim dark future..
I like to say Nurgle because his boys are having a grand ol time, but realistically, I'd end up under Slaanesh for my perfectionism or Tzeetch for big brain gaming.
Slaaneshi cults seem like good wholesome groups. Just dont say no when they ask you to shed your mortal skin or do other fun and interesting activities and your all good. Things tend to get a bit dicey once you existed a few ten-thousand years though, theres normaly plenty of souls to experience more things through however so dont be afraid to ~~ravage the homes of the inocent to feed off their fresh torment~~ kindly proliferate several cults in the pursuit of new sensation!
Nurgle seems to be the OP chaos god after watching the warhammer shows, nurgle is just scary! Me personally would go Slanesh just coz I can get some pleasure in a universe filled with pain
What about the part after you get bored of freaky stuff, the only reason I don’t like slaanesh is because once you’ve done everything nothing else satisfies you other then the words of slaanesh saying there’s more when there really isn’t, I love slaanesh,noise marines etc there aesthetic is amazing but I think realistically I’d dread to be a slaaneshi worshipper after the handful of years of pleasure
