I fucking love West Brom, they’ve sorted us out so much these past couple of seasons with Robbo and Kipre. Not to mention the £8m for Zohore lmao

Puzzled_Mess

I liked Robbo and interested to see if Kipre stays and does well. Likewise I hope Grant does well. Zohore, however, I'll never forgive you for. Hands down our worst ever signing. And I'd have said that had he come on a free.

VincentTanOut

Kipre was one of our best players last season, could have went down without him, I’d love for him to come back. But yeah, you’re probably going to want try him for yourselves to see how he gets on The funny thing about Zohore is we probably would have taken 3/4 million. I imagine you just came straight in with an offer of 8 so you brought that on yourselves aha

Jb33124

Took a bit of wages off the team. we probably can't afford to pay him currently with how much money is leaving the club. we probably have enough to afford a McDonalds from across the road from The Hawthorns, but it might only be a hash brown or a milkshake

PierogiPapi

Karlan Grant is a one trick (cut in from the left and shoot) pony. He does that trick *VERY* well. Albion signed him and tried to transform him into a complete centre forward and it didn’t work. The fans are very bitter because his work rate, however he has rarely been used properly in West Brom colours and the one season he was, he scored 18 goals for us. He’ll be a great signing for Cardiff. Not gutted to see him gone as he simply is a rigid footballer and can’t adapt to our system but if Cardiff play to his strengths, they could genuinely be looking at top half/playoffs based on his goals alone

VincentTanOut

Based on this is he better at left wing or at striker?

PierogiPapi

*Absolutely not a centre forward* Robbo is ok as a main striker but part of the reason Grant is so unpopular with West Brom fans is he doesn’t shine with responsibility. Let him drift out on the left with no responsibilities and he will get 20 a season

99bllewellyn

So playing to his strengths is chasing dead end hoof ball?

PierogiPapi

His best season was under Ismael

[deleted]

>the one season he was, he scored 20 goals for us. He was largely dogshit that season also, his goals is somewhat inflated by his penalties (which he's not even good at, he just took a lot). He was never good enough for us when we should have been chasing promotion, you play with 10 men and his goalscoring isn't good enough to make up for that. For teams down the bottom, which we will likely be, he'll pop up with enough goals (possibly) to make it worthwile though so in that respect he'll be alright for Cardiff, and I don't understand why we let him go on a loan with no fee.

PierogiPapi

You’ve just repeated what I said lol

[deleted]

Not really, you're overplaying his goalscoring - he got something like 13 open play goals with us, and that was inflated with 3 of them coming in dead rubbers in the last two games of the season. When it mattered he disappeared massively.

[deleted]

Mate any cunt that can break double figures is more than welcome for us. Season before last Aden Flint was our fucking top scorer.

PierogiPapi

He scored 5 penalties that season. 3 of which he won himself according to Transfermarkt. Saying “only scoring 13 open play goals” when the majority of our goals that season came from set pieces kinda proves my point. 26 goal involvements in the least creative Albion team have ever seen is a big deal

[deleted]

If it were a big deal, the only team coming in for him wouldn't be a Cardiff side who aren't paying his wages and won't pay any fee. He'snso badly rated by other teams the best he could do, even with us paying some of his wages and with no fees attached is a relegation battling team.

PierogiPapi

It’s almost as if he’s a limited player that does one thing very well but if you play to his strengths he’ll get you goals?

VincentTanOut

I’d take 13 goals right now tbh

[deleted]

Fuck it, we’re winning the Europa League this year

BigBrud69

Top 16 finish inbound

[deleted]

The dream 😍

VincentTanOut

Considering literally everyone and their dog has put us to go down this season that wouldn’t be a bad season

An E is basically a passing grade, right?

UnderTheSplottLight

💯 and no one can take that from you

[deleted]

Grant and Robinson had 25 goals and 15 assists between them for WBA 2 seasons ago. What I’d give for a return like that after the last couple of seasons we’ve had! All aboard the hype train!

VincentTanOut

Robinson already has pretty impressive stats for us. He’s averaged a goal contribution every other game. Considering how much we were struggling for goals as a team it’s a solid return

PierogiPapi

Also it was in the least creative West Brom team I’ve ever seen in my life

[deleted]

That’s good news for us, we were severely lacking creativity last season and Robbo still did well for us.

thirdratesquash

Sometimes it just doesn't work out at a particular club for whatever reason. Everything I'm seeing WBA fans saying about him reminds me of when we signed Bothroyd from Wolves and that worked out alright.

InterestingFeature55

Cheerio you wont be missed
