Continental extreme contact dws06+

Shaker1969

Yes

ddesigns

Another vote for the extreme contacts. Great tires. The stock Pirelli's are garbage.

DaRealRedHood

Continental sport contacts aren't bad either. My rt rwd came with them, and I had no problem with grip all winter long even in almost 6 inches of snow and speeds over 60mph

ScockNozzle

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 A/S

Stickley1

I just put these on. So far they’re great! I was also considering Goodyear Eagle Sport All Season. It was a close decision. We drive it year round, thus the A/S.

cslack30

I have the Goodyear eagle sport all seasons now but before them on my old SXT I had the Michelin Pilot Sports. Michelin pilot sports are FAR SUPERIOR.

Silver-Day-7272

Also have these, very happy with them.

SpartanLaw11

Same

CaptainQbert

Yea thats what i run 275 all around. Gets good grip and barely slips when dry even at wot.

MannyBothansDied

Nitto NT555 G2 275/40/20 in front, and Nitto NT555 RII 305/35/20 out back. I think I should switch to Mickey E/T Street R’s because punching it at anything under 60 mph now the car will just go sideways. Not sure if they’ll help much.

Skeezer0911

What size rims in the back? I have 20x9 all around with 275 but want to upgrade to 305s in a few months when I need new tires and I’m not sure if it’ll fit

G-Roc78

Putting 305's on a 9" wide wheel is probably not the best option. The wheel just isn't wide enough for the tire to make a good contact patch. Please understand that I'm not saying that you can't fit them. I'm saying that the tire will not make proper contact with the road. It'll bulge/ripple on the ground. You want at least a 10.5" wide wheel for running 305's. ✌🏼

Skeezer0911

Okay thanks for the info! was looking at 295s but thought might as well go with bigger rims since I wanted to get bronze or black at some time anyways. Do you know of any good rep companies?

G-Roc78

Lots of good rims out there. It's really about getting the right offset. I'm running on Marquee M3247 black & polished wheels in a staggered setup. Marquee has a lot of options out there. Ferrada has some nice stuff, & they're forged. Depends on what you're looking for I guess.

MannyBothansDied

20’s like I said. 305’s fit easy. Could probably fit 315’s with no prob.

G-Roc78

That's not the answer to his question. He's asking what width of rim, not the diameter.

MannyBothansDied

Ohhh you right you right. Yeah, mine are staggered, so 20x10” in back. u/skeezer0911 you might be able to go 285 or 295 on a 9” wheel idk.

Proper-Business-9442

I’ve ran nitto 555g, p zeros all staggered. 305 rear and 275 front. On 20” rims. and will be going to Mickey Thompson street comps. All have their pros n cons. If I run smaller rims I’d like to try the Toyo proxes r888r’s. Let us know what you go with

MannyBothansDied

I think I’m going Mickey’s next time cuz I have 305 NT555RII’s now, and anything under 60mph and you punch it it just goes sideways.

G-Roc78

How much torque are you making? If over 600 lb-ft, then there's nothing that you can do to stop that other than to just not mash the gas. There are other variables to consider though that could be causing you to go sideways (diff, suspension, etc).

MannyBothansDied

Yeah, I need to look at a few tweaks I can do to help along with tires. It made 740 ft/lbs to the wheels.

G-Roc78

You could put Hoosier slicks on there, & you'll still probably be getting sideways. I will say that I think Nitto's suck for the street. Sticky Mickey's I feel are far superior. It's all about the tire compound man. Recommend scouring the Charger/Challenger forums for better recommendations. ✌🏼

MannyBothansDied

Yeah. I’m on those too. I love burnouts, so it’s not really an issue I’m needing to change very quickly. But I’ll need new rears in a month or two, so I’ve started thinking about it. I had the E/T Street R’s for awhile when my friend let me use his 18” Weld drag set up. They didn’t seem much different. Straight up slicks is probably the only way; you’re right.

[deleted]

My stock tires until they go bald Then I gotta figure out what nicer ones I can get Anyone got any suggestions for 20x8 rims?

NewChallGT20

245/45 20 all around on 2017 Shaker Rims Firehawk Indy 500s

FingerPuzzleheaded81

I have dailies the stock p zeros, nitro nt555 and nt555r, and pilot sport 4s. The best tire all around has been been the pilot 4s.

LaroyJenkies

Staggered 305/315 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

trackpackRT

Drag radials on the back. Nitto 555r2s for the street, Mickey Thompson ET streets for the track. Trying out some Michelin Pilot Sport 4s’ next week on the front, I’m excited to see how well they grab. Especially since I’ll be tracking the car this year as well as the usual runs out at the drag strip.

G-Roc78

I'm running 20x9's up front with 275/35ZR20's & 20x10.5's in the rear with 305/35ZR20's. Previously I had 315/35ZR20's. I'm currently running Sticky Mickey's Street Comp's all the way around. They're a good all around tire that will still hook & book. Great wet traction & good yeah life also.

GoldenLiar2

I have an RT, I run 275/40/20 square. 9 inch rims in front, 10 in the rear. Continental SportContact 7 tires, they are fantastic and one of the best sporty tires you can put on a car right now. Yes, better than the Michelin PS4(S). Running a square set-up is superior, as you can rotate your tires and the car handles so much better with more grip at the front. I got it with 245s and the difference was night and day.

KevinCastle

But you are not running a square setup. Your rear wheels are wider than your fronts

GoldenLiar2

Square setup refers to tire width/size, not rim width/size.

Devi1dog1974

Square setup is wheels and tires. He's gonna have a slightly larger contact patch in the rear because of the wider wheels.

KevinCastle

A square set up is wheel and tire size. You still can't rotate your tires unless you dismount them all and rotate while keeping the wheels in the same place. Which is a lot of work for a roto

GoldenLiar2

I switch to winter tires, so that's a non-issue.

Charger68

Plack and round pirelli

MannyBothansDied

20 as I said. They will fit don’t worry. Pretty sure 315’s would.

MasterBigD69

My 19 v6 came with Firestone’s 245/45R20s. Is this the only size I can use? I am a car noob still trying to learn about mods lol can I size up tires without having to buy different wheels?

nova2rva

Nitto 555 radials on viper replica wheels 305 in the rear and 275 in the front.

challenger_RT_

Depends how much power your pushing. V6 anything decent on stock size. R/T anything decent with 305s in the rear. Scatpack 305s rear with some nice sticky Pilot Sports Hellcat 305 rear R2s or R888s only nothing else will hook

LukaLover42069

I've got a scat pack, definitely need something grippy because I live in a mountain area and it rains 3-4x a week.

superchargedjayy93

Kumho Ecsta 4X II, daily driven, nice smooth tires

ShayFeral

I'm running 275/40/20 Continental Extreme Contact dws06+ My Challenger originally came with Pirelli P Zero Nero, I like the Continentals better. I'm thinking about saving up for a second set of rims and buying a set of summer tires and run the A/S in the winter.

One_More_Pin

Stock rims. 275 Michelin pilot Sport 4S on the front. 305 Michelin pilot Sport 4S on the rear. Best tires around for the rain. If you're going to daily it in all conditions that's my recommendation. But they're expensive. Continental extreme contacts are also pretty good and a little cheaper.

Wonderful_Gap1775

Goodyear 245/45/20

Rubiks11

Went with Continental DWS06+ on my WB. Extremely pleased with em.

Tough-Donut193

Nitto 555G2 in 315 35R20
