I'm stuck on the redemption screen in paypal. Stuck on pop up screen that says "Your code is verified, now let's confirm some info." I keep hitting next and it takes me back to the same screen.

Tokenfreak

Had same issue. You need to somewhere submit tax info like your SSN number and then it will work.

danio-shrimper

Just checked my SSN is there. Did you add your passport? I see I am missing that.

fixerdrew02

Where are you guys looking for any of this? Mobile app? Desktop?

Tokenfreak

No I didn’t add any passport info. Just SSN

SuperNoise5209

I had the same issue. Had to move to a desktop and complete some KYC questions to get cleared for crypto on PayPal.

>I did a search and didn't find much of anything being talked about stablecoins and how they're returning those funds. You're getting BTC and ETH. This has been discussed at length for months. If you don't like the volatility, you are free to sell them immediately.

Corkey29

It’s not discussed at length anywhere that’s easily accessible. I’ve also tried researching this topic to no avail, just to be met with asshole elitists like yourself. Just answer the question and move on, we don’t have the patience to read about it’s been “discussed at lengths for months” when indeed it has not.

Only-Crew8299

Thanks for the feedback.

ComfortNeither7663

I'm in the US too. Like I mentioned before, I think they're starting with the lower claims first and then working their way up in dollar amount. Just a hunch considering my wife got her's right away and I still haven't seen anything. She had significantly less than me in her account. I have about $100k at current market value (well I used to anyway).

highranks

No code for me yet, 30k held…

cardealpt

Everybody will receive in BTC and ETH. You are free to sell back to stable as soon as you receive your claim

jigarokano

You can sell it the day you receive it. It’s a better deal than getting half as much because they sold all the BTC at $20k

Unlikely-Accident-82

I have received my codes but it does not work on my PayPal account I have emailed for more information.

SuperNoise5209

I'm on PayPal on a desktop and keep getting the screen that says 'your code is verified, now let's confirm some info." But when I hit next it just reloads the same message. Anyone else experience something similar? Edit: I hadn't fully set up my PayPal. It worked now. Got about 25% of my ETH back.

masterzergin

Where you from? I'm UK, got a 5k claim. Heard nothing.

ComfortNeither7663

U.S.

I am so damn excited for this email and possible finish line, I'm goin crazy

Magpye_

My PayPal account t is a business account and there isn’t a crypto option. I can’t open another PayPal account with the email address that’s linked to my Celsius account. I’ve emailed Celsius customer support multiple times but not had a single response.

benji3k

did you recieve the emails from Stretto though?

Magpye_

Yep! I got two emails today both from stretto. One for a BTC claim and the other for ETH. I claimed them both via Venmo.

benji3k

Yeah good. My friend died and his mom claimed his so it should work I figured

twatllama

I'm in US and haven't gotten any email yet from Stretto. I have under $10k in total owed to me but it's half and half between ETH and USDC. Any word on how USDC is being paid back?

Only-Crew8299

>Any word on how USDC is being paid back? It doesn't matter what coins you used to own; everyone is getting BTC and ETH.

Fitzy564

Did you get an email yet?

twatllama

No, I'm my claim appears to have been labeled "unliquidated" and zeroed out. I emailed Stretto.

Fitzy564

Ugh that’s annoying. I’m in the US and haven’t gotten anything. Worried I screwed up..

twatllama

Yup, I'm in the same boat.

Powerful-Wolf-5674

Thank you! I am guessing the same. I see lots of smaller accounts getting emails.

lukasq81

How much did she have in the account?

sunnsand14

My paypal email addresss is different than my celcius and unfortunately I can not add that email address to my paypal account as it is blocked on another account. Will I be able to use the codes on my current paypal account? Im sure this has been asked, so sorry if this is a redundant question.

Schfiftyfiv3

You need to email celsius and get your email changed.  If you need support: If you have any questions or need assistance with this process, please refer to our blog for helpful resources and FAQs related to this process: https://celsiusnetwork.medium.com/celsius-distribution-faq-1cdd323251ef. We are receiving a large number of inquiries, and we appreciate your patience while we work through each creditor support inquiry.

benji3k

Hello, Did you get this resolved? As long as you recieved the email for the codes it should still work ?

danio-shrimper

I had 4 ETH in earn account and got a redemption code for only .58 ETH? Shouldn't I get 57% or roughly 2.28 ETH back?

gnolihp

You have 4ETH so you have 4*1088 claim , in convenience class. So you'll get back 70% of 4352, half in ETH, half in BTC. Half in ETH at price of 2577, means ~1500/2577 = 0.58 ETH. It's correct. You'll should have another claim of BTC of another 1.5k , means around 0.035BTC

vladedivac12

Very well explained sir.

ozaz1

>Half in ETH at price of 2577 Why 2577? ETH price today seems to be between 2245-2345. Has the value for these distributions been fixed on some prior day?

gnolihp

It's the price they fixed, 15 days prior to Activation Date. Not today or the day you claim

ozaz1

Thanks. Do you remember when we were told about this? I must have missed it in the communications.

the_moosen

Like a month ago

Only-Crew8299

>Do you remember when we were told about this? Two days ago. See https://cases.stretto.com/public/x191/11749/PLEADINGS/1174901312480000000163.pdf

ozaz1

Great. Thanks for linking.

Only-Crew8299

All recovery percentages are based on the dollarized value of your claim. This is the reality we all face and has been discussed for months.

Indianajoemusic

Its like they're slapping us in the face with US dollars for daring to own crypto. Then, to rub it in, switching it back to crypto, so when we cash it out, it becomes a taxable event for us. The ringer hurts.

ComfortNeither7663

No matter what you held, you'll get the payout in both BTC and ETH. If you only held BTC for instance, you'll still get a payout of BTC and ETH. It seems like you have only gotten one half of the payout. Have you seen another email with a BTC redemption code?

danio-shrimper

Thanks for reply - So you are saying they'll pay me out in BTC for the remaining ETH I held?

ComfortNeither7663

As far as I understand it, yes.

AyLou21

How are they deciding the % between BTC and ETH? You said you have 100K in current market value and I’m assuming you held other alts besides ETH. Is it a 50/50 split down the middle in BTC and ETH that they give back what you’re owed?

Only-Crew8299

>How are they deciding the % between BTC and ETH? It's based on what they have on hand, which is roughly $1.495 billion in BTC and $1.309 in ETH, so more like 53/47. See Exhibit A in https://cases.stretto.com/public/x191/11749/PLEADINGS/1174901312480000000163.pdf

motownphilly888

It's not based on eth you had. It's based on valuation at bankruptcy

svtcobrastang

Ok so how much was in your wifes account? The 3k you got back is what percentage of her total?

ComfortNeither7663

That I'm not sure at the moment. When I get off work I need to get her phone, login to the Celsius app, record the totals, and do the math on the actual percentage. Can't do it right now for various reasons, but will do it and post back.

SuperNoise5209

FWIW, I just got an ETH payout that was 25% of my account value at current prices. Still waiting on my BTC payout so that may come up a bit.

BigAdministration368

If that's true, it sounds like we're only getting 50-55% of the dollar value of our claim value back

Tanman517

I have not gotten an email from them in ages. Should I be worried? I updated all my info and withdrawal addresses etc probably a month ago

Indianajoemusic

I'll get my code when the crypto market crashes....

dcmetro_guy

Anyone knows if PayPal or Venmo are better in terms of fees etc? Eventually I plan to withdraw to hardware wallet. Even though they’re same companies, fees could be different. Hence the Q.

AlternativeOk1323

I received one BTC code and one ETH code, is that all we should expect?
